and even then, all you need to do is split the matchmaking channels for specific games into 2, 3, or more depending on the number of people engaging in discussions at once

it seems like threads get locked after 6 hours of no inactivity, so we need to bump this and the other global threads every 6 hours maximum

They should've talked to us (the users) about this, asked us how we use them and what we use them for. 1 per game is enough, with Splatoon probably being the most active it still isn't active enough for such an update, and even then it's better to just have 2 or 3 official ones per game, not let everyone create their own that will be locked after a few hours of inactivity. Removing them instead of locking wouldn't be any better because then many messages would be deleted just because the thread or whatever was inactive for a few hours. I don't use it just to find people to play with, sometimes I look at what people are doing because I'm bored and maybe join if I feel like playing. Who even uses them for matchmaking anymore? Most people play public battles, it's only really useful when ranked is inactive or when someone wants to private battle. Just wanted to share my opinion about this, I apologize for the long message 🙇‍♀️

absolutely, There was no Defense Up in splatoon 2 to counter MPU and many of the god tier weapons in splatoon 1 that helped counter it simply ceased to exist in splatoon 2

The return of Damage Up in the form of MPU in splatoon 2 was one of the worst (if not the worst) mistakes the developers ever did (specifically because they knew it was a bad idea from Splatoon 1)

they threw the entire game balance out for it
