022-5432/022-2402 error, tried several fixes

3ds xl, system version 11.17.0-50u. luma version 13.1.2.

originally i was able to progress through the NNID creation screen but would get this error after trying to actually create/activate the NNID. no email confirmation sent out. trying to create the account through the pretendo website has just been refreshing the page whenever i hit submit, with no emails generated.

i tried the toggle-nintendo-open-eshop-retoggle-pretendo solution and that didn't help. i uninstalled nimbus and reinstalled it from the universal updater (chose the cia version). now i get the error message as soon as i click "nintendo network ID settings", and then it sends me to the sign in screen for my existing nintendo id. no option to create a new one. i tried the eshop trick again once already and it hasn't helped. i've made sure it was back on pretendo. what else can i try?

Idk if this will fix anything, but try updating Luma

make sure the first two options in Luma3DS are enabled and then try again the nintendo-eshop-pretendo trick again

the first three options have been enabled this whole time. i'll try updating and see if that helps at all

yeah update/reinstall Luma3DS so you have it on SD

luma's fully up to date, first three options enabled in boot screen, tried the trick and i was able to progress through the NNID creation again but when i click "link" it throws error code 022-2402

okay that's a different error

what happens if you try to access friend list

loads fine with pretendo toggled though it says i'm offline and doesn't show any friends. with nintendo toggled it shows friends and it says i'm online.

every time i've tried to create the pretendo NNID it hasn't been giving me any mii options other than the one already set up for my nintendo id, if that means anything? and the friend list shows that same mii when i'm on pretendo

and i was getting the 022-2402 error before the nimbus uninstall/reinstall, just got confused with the other error code after the reinstall (my bad)

try switching back to nintendo > launch eshop > exit > switch back to pretendo > try again
if that doesn't work
try switching back to nintendo > settings > nnid settings > exit > switch back to pretendo > change language to spanish > try again

okay, i tried the website again and this time it worked? so i was able to just link that instead of going through the NNID creation on the 3ds and it seems to be working so far. i don't know why the website account creation wasn't working yesterday.

seems like i'm able to access it, though i got "a communication error has occurred" after trying to browse for a few minutes

ok, did that and miiverse still becomes unhappy after a few minutes (load errors, blue backgrounds, etc) but the NNID creation problem has been fixed so 👍
