Luma is installed to your CTRNAND. For Nimbus to work, it must be installed to your SD card
Download it from universal-updater, or from GitHub and extract the boot.firm and boot.3dsx files to the root of your SD card

Once installed, you will need to re-enable the required settings
Something must have happened to the boot.firm file on the SD card
Either way, unless you do some weird stuff, Nimbus will not work properly if Luma isn't installed on the SD card
Ignore that for now, just see if installing Luma to SD fixes things

Backup all of the SD card files to a computer or different drive (or just the saves if you don't have enough space)

They're stuck on Pretendo since Luma is running from CTRNAND, because B9S can't run Luma from SD

I think your SD card might be dying or corrupted
If you find any files with weird characters in their names that can't be deleted, it is corrupted

Start at pretendo network
Disable external firms and gmae patching in luma3ds menu, open miiverse and you should get an error
Then you re-enable them, go to nintendo servers, eshop, go back to pretendo and put the new PNID
try rebooting your 3ds
