Splatoon connection issue

Hello,

Me and my friend wants to play splatoon together however my friend has an issue with his console.
I play on Cemu fine and my friend wants to play on his Wii U BUT when he enters to the hall to play online, the game tells him that there is an update available. However, the eShop is down rn AND we tried to install updates found online, I even give him my own update file BUT nothing worked and the issue is still there.
Also, when he launches the game, he doesn't have the actual TV show where they present the actual playable maps online.

Anyone can help ?

PS: he can play normally to other online games such as Mario Maker.

ok, basicly the solution is simple : delete common data everytimes you launch the game with everything up to date.
It worked for me and it's consistent, hope it helped :)

if u start the Game tell me the version on the top of the logo screen

He has the 2.12.2 in Europe version and 2.12.0 in the US version

And I have the 2.12.0 Europe version in Cemu

my EU version of splatoon is in the version 2.12.0

the latest version of all Splatoon (EU/USA/JP) is 2.12.1

delete update data in system settings and reinstall the update over Nintendo Network

power off ur wii u

remove ur sd card that contains CFW

and turn on ur wii u do the update and tell me if it worked
