I'm having this error after being temporarily banned, still don't know why, checked today if I was unbanned and this error popped out.

Just to be clear, I DID NOT MADE ANY MODIFICATION TO MY SERIAL NUMBER WHATSOEVER. NEVER. So I don't really know what could be the issue.

From what I've determined, it's a result of your Local Friend Code Seed not matching what your 3DS came with, usually as a result of you trying to circumvent an NNID console ban by injecting someone else's LFCS. If you didn't back yours up (or in my case, can't remember if you backed it up), there's no way to fix this as of yet.

I think I may have found a way to fix this, as while I can't quite access my Friends List, I am able to link my PNID and access Miiverse.

You 100% sure you didn't change your LFCS? This error only appears if you try changing your seed.

I didn't circunvent anything and just in case that the prior owner did it, I double checked with the original box and the physical serial number matches.

I don't think the physical serial number has anything to do with it.

I don't know if it's possible nevertheless, but just in the hypothetical case that my LFCS was altered, I was able to play some days, played a bit of Mario Maker and less than 1 map of MK7.

I'm looking at 3DSident, AFAIK the "Original local friend code seed" and "NAND local friend code seed" are supposed to match, isn't? In that case, they match.

I would believe that 3DSIdent wouldn't be the best, as it copies your data I bet at first boot, but theoretically, you backuped your LFCS with that nand backup
