There are no modified files on the SD card, and I'm going to talk on the assumption that you won't be making any other modifications to the Wii U in the future.

First, download the zip file from this link and extract it.
Once extracted, put the "wiiu" folder inside into the "top layer" of the SD card.
Once inserted, insert the card into the WiiU, start the internet browser, and enter this URL "u.wiidb.de"
If you bookmark it here, you can come back to this site anytime, so if you want to do it, do it.
Then press HAXX and wait for a while. After the screen becomes a bit cluttered, you should be able to go to the WiiU menu and see "Use Pretendo Network" in the top left corner.
(If the screen does not move after waiting about 30 seconds, please press and hold the power button to turn off the power and try again.)
Now you can connect to Pretendo. If you use this method, you can use Miiverse.
The next time you start up, you can connect to Pretendo again by doing the same thing from your internet browser.
