I think that extending the afk duration by 15 seconds would be a good thing to have more time to report cheaters because sometimes after reporting a cheater, I get disconnected because I haven't moved for several seconds, and it would avoid having to keep pressing the A button to advance to avoid getting disconnected while filming to report cheaters.

my only concern with this idea is that it's very common (e.g. in splatoon with TC/SL prefixes) for users to edit their Mii names so they don't align with the records on our side. so I'm not sure what to put on such a website for users to work out which entry on the session list corresponds to which player

Here's an idea verify new accounts with a week long delay till they can play

First connection on wii or 3ds starts the timer
