Also, if you downloaded it from github or the aroma site you are completely fine. Both are official sources (i think) and have to viruses or something like that.
And if you only had watched a video tutorial about installing aroma when you already had Tiramisu installed, it's not really outdated. It's basically putting files on the sd card, nothing else.
