You might want to stick with the gamepad for Splatoon mate.

Unless someone has made a mod for a wii u procon for splatoon, there is no way to use a switch procon for it

Because you also need the touchscreen to jump to teammates

The only way to do it is by walking away with the gamepad

But again, it only works with the gamepad unless it is local multiplayer
