cant link pnid

hi its coming up with this error when i try link i dont think i have access to the 3ds its linked too, is there anyway I can unlink it? i have got my pnid login saved and logged in on the website and linked my discord i just cant link my 3ds, thanks

Yea make a new account with a PNID that doesn't match your NNID.

You're suppose to unlink anyway especially before/after setting up PNID

Seriously, please do not unlink your NNID. You will most likely lose your games that you bought off the EShop, and why would you need to unlink it anyways? The NNID can’t have the same ID as the PNID, but please don’t unlink your NNID unless you absolutely need to for a specific reason.

I came here looking for how can I link my PNID, I thought I should unlink my NNID first. I'm confused. How do I use my PNID on 3DS?

EDIT: I found the solution on Reddit!

My problem was that even after switching to Pretendo on Nimbus, my NNID was there and I couldn't change it.

Solution: open Nimbus, select Nintendo, go to Settings and then to NNID settings. Then go back to Nimbus and choose Pretendo. You'll be able to sign in with your PNID.

There’s an error code that sometimes shows up specifically for that reason

There should seriously be a rule against doing this. Unlinking your NNID gives all these risks, and you could lose all your games if you accidentally open Pretendo EShop. Now please stop telling people to unlink your NNID. There are risks.
