The only thing that works for me is 'Unregistering boss tasks' from the aroma config menu, then pressing home button (NOT POWER BUTTON), I'm then taken back to the user selection screen where i log in, start Splatoon, and then i can get online. I have to re-perform this on every bootup of my Wii U or error 104-2210 will return.

try clearing your shared save data. the DNS method should allow you to play splatoon
if you dont know already its system settings -> data management -> storage device -> splatoon -> shared save data. its unrelated to your player save, so deleting it wont remove your save.
