Pretendo is working great for me, tested Mario Maker, Miiverse and Splatoon. However, I can't change my Pretendo account Birthday and Region and this kind of information wasn't asked when I created the account in the first place. Is there any way to change this?

At the moment, no. It doesnt really effect your experience but hopefully soon we’ll be able to change some details
