Hello, at the time of creating an account I set the PNID of "Syphist" on the website. This cannot be logged into because I have an NNID of the same name. Since then I have created a new PNID and signed in with that. I was told that I could request an account deletion for this PNID. If it wouldn't be any trouble, the PNID Syphist can be deleted as it will not be used. Thanks.

The problem I'm having here is it's preventing me from logging into my pretendo account since I'm already logged into my nnid. so in that case, what are the reasons for not deleting the nnid if Nintendo shut down everything?

ohhh I see. well for me, my issue is different. I need to somehow get it to not try to sign me in automatically to my nnid so I can sign into pretendo. well since I never had a lot of stuff installed on my 3ds, it probably won't matter so if I can't find a solution soon, I'll just do that. I have school anyway. good luck.

I'm on my Wii U rn; I tried do the whole "Delete this user" thing for my NNID-linked profile, but it wanted me to re-enter my password, I hit forgot password and it gave me an error code- I'm assuming this might be because of the shutdown

Well, you can transfer the save files from your NNID-linked user to your PNID-linked user with SaveMii

See, the problem is I can't link any of my PNIDs to my Miis. I made two with a similar (if not the same) to my NNID, then made another one with a different name. I'm trying to link the different named one but it gives me the same error code of 102-2571

I'm following the instructions on-site. Create an account, don't link an account yet. Pick a Mii, select, THEN link.

Two of my PNIDs are similar to my NNID (OkamiTakahashi), though one has an underscore. This other one I made giving me the same error is different (TakeshiNakamura)

It's weird, this wasn't happening before, either, I once got as far as being prompted for my password and email address. But now it thinks I'm trying to create and not link

Again, I did that the first time around but didn't finish the process, I backed out to make sure I was reading things right. IIRC the site DID say to say no to linking at first, then make an account as normal, THEN Link an account. But now there's no trace of those instructions on the site

The website used to have two different setup methods listed, one for linking your account on the Wii U and one for creating your account on the Wii U. The first said to pick “yes” on the link dialog and the other said to pick “no.” That’s probably where your confusion came from.

Yeah that's probably it; I have a tendency to misread things. Usually my brother helps me with these things but he's not around anymore so it's been daunting to do this without a second man right there to make sure I've done it right

It is possible to create another account with the same email but with a different PNID.

For those who created a PNID with the same name as the NNID like me, this is an alternative.
