I've enabled Pretendo on my O3DS. Nimbus shows that Pretendo is selected and I've made sure that game patching is enabled in Luma3DS settings, and I've been able to sign into my account. However, every game I've tried including Super Mario Maker just shows "This service has been discontinued. Thank you for using this service."
#This service has been discontinued

Currently only the friends app (3DS) is available to the public, if you want to try out other Pretendo Network related service, you need to donate to the project or wait until a public beta test happens (probably in winter, this year). More info on why in #announcements.
Can I self-host it?
Yeah, you can selfhost that's one of the reason why it's open source.
Okay, thanks for your help
How do I close this?
A moderator needs to do it.
Also, is that message from Nintendo or Pretendo?
What do you mean?
Is "This service has been discontinued. Thank you for using this service." written by Pretendo or what Nintendo servers now show?
Also I think you need to modify Nimbus to selfhost.
Pretendo.
Oh, I assumed it was still connecting to Nintendo's servers lol
No lol
Unless you're from the future.
lol
Maybe the message should be something like "Pretendo's public test beta has ended. Thank you for using this service."
Either not possible or they haven't implemented it yet.
Is that "This service has been discontinued. Thank you for using this service." hardcoded in the firmware?
If so it's interesting that Nintendo hasn't used it yet
I don't think so, I think that this message comes from NASC.
I see
Out of curiosity, what do Nintendo's servers say?
I don't have a Nintendo account so I can't try it myself
The same message.
Because NN hasn't been shutdown if it's under maintenance, then there's a maintenance message, but the NN is gonna shutdown next year.
Not needed.
Including firmware updates?
No, firmware updates are handled by NUS.
