#Password

Same thing here. I've also tried every combination I can think of for my passwords to login to mine, but it still won't work. This is gonna be a problem for both of us since they said on their website that they can't reset passwords. 😕

This actually outdated documentation I had missed, password resets work now
Please ensure you are using the latest set of patches on your console and that you are connected to our servers. The latest version of our patches show a notification on your console if you're connected to our servers or not
Oh really? Cool! I will say I did reset my account password on the website, but I'm guessing that password is not tied to the password on the Wii U? (Also, thanks for getting back with me so fast! 😃)
I also did put the new patches on my Wii U a little bit ago, but it's not giving me the "Connected to Pretendo Network" notification you mentioned yet.
Side-Note: I have the Standard Tier and Production Environment for my Pretendo Account if that helps solve any connection problems I have to the server. I can't afford to upgrade to any of that on my account currently, but I will someday. 🙂
then you dont have the latest patches
Really? I thought it said that they were updated around 1 or 2 weeks ago.
At least for the Aroma patches. I do also have Tiramisu installed on my Wii U.
We no longer support Tiramisu, we only support Aroma moving forward. If you have the latest set of patches then you will see a notification in the top left of your screen saying either "Connected to Nintendo Network" or "Connected to Pretendo Network", depending on if you have the patches enabled or not
When in doubt, you can always verify you have things setup correctly by checking the docs. As I mentioned earlier it's not always 100% up to date, but it's a good starting point. In fact, we just updated the WiiU docs yesterday! https://pretendo.network/docs/install/wiiu
Ok. I'll make sure to double check my work then. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Maybe I used to have Tiramisu and switched it over to Aroma and I just forgot. I'll message back if I can't get it figured out quite right then.
I definitely don't remember any "enabling" of the patches. Only copying them over to my SD card.
I'm just now double checking my work and going through what I currently have on my SD card, maybe I never fully finished installing Aroma, or maybe I left that for a different time. That might explain my problem. Lol. I guess I try and finish installing Aroma then.
That should do it. You will know if it's installed when it saids "Using pretendo network" on startup in the top right of the screen
Ok. Sounds good.
The patches are enabled by default once placed on the SD card. They come with an option to disable them in the Aroma config menu after booting so you can hot-swap between us and Nintendo
Oh! Ok.
I take it once I get all of this setup, then I shouldn't have any problem with my Wii U saying that I put in the wrong password anymore, right?
So, I just now turned on my Wii U and switched to my Pretendo account I made in the past. I didn't get any prompts about a wrong password (even though I don't remember it still), but I did get the "Using the Pretendo Network" notification, which is great! 😃
Good you should be in. If you didn't get any prompts saying retype your password it could mean you have a pretendo account with the same Password and username as your Nintendo network account
It could be a old account or your current account only you know that though 🙂
Yeah. I think I mentioned this earlier this morning on here, but with my password for my Pretendo account I changed on my PC, does that password correlate to the Wii U? I'm assuming it does. Does that make sense?
You would have to retype in your password it will prompt you to when you sign in again
