I'm trying to log in to my PNID on my 3DS, but immediately get this error

Error Code: 022-2571

The Nintendo Network ID you entered is already in use.

my PNID is not linked to another system as far as im aware

just made a different PNID and it worked

the first one had the same username, which i didnt think would be the issue since that announcement was wiiu specific

i made another with a different username and it let me link it

i switched to pretendo in nimbus, and have the luma patch files in place (with game patching enabled)
