Before anyone goes out buying a LAN adapter, learn from my mistakes; the Wii U does not support most LAN adapters, only ones with a certain chipset; the one in the Wii LAN adapter.
It only has drivers for the official Wii LAN adapter, so that one and any one that happens to have the same chipset will work
I have a ugreen one which does, and it works very well with the Wii U
If I'm wrong here in any way, feel free to correct me

It improves over time. Very recently the portal for screenshots and screen captures have been standardized, so OBS actually can record the screen as expected.
I too sometimes go back to X, especially when streaming VR games because I haven't figure that out with Wayland yet either.

Some folks think it's cool to push for the opponent team's base right away and prevent them from escaping.
S3 does a better job at protecting you from killer wails and other specials though for at least two seconds, so you can at least try to get rid of those guys.
Dunno if it ever helps but I just downright report these players to Nintendo.

yeah, most inexperienced players just use Rollers and hold ZR. if you do use Rollers, I'd recommend flinging it, as this can more easily splat your opponents. Carbon Rollers are the fastest to fling, but are the weakest (though with the right gear this type of weapon can become pretty overpowered)

or you can just use an Inkbrush
(did you know that in Splatoon 2, the vanilla Inkbrush is tied with one other weapon for requiring the fewest amount of points to enable the use of your special? plus the Inkbrush includes the (infamous) Splashdown, so combine that with Ninja Jump and insta-splat your foes with no chance of escape! (note that I can get 150p in 10 seconds.))

at the same time, you don't get the movement speed boost when holding ZR on non-inkable surfaces
so on glass your character moves at normal speed (maybe even a bit slower), but in Splatoon 2/3 movement speed is unaffected, at the regular cost of ink though
now we just need Splatoon 2's Splashdown (vanilla Inkbrush) and Ninja Squid๐
