though in Wii you have to use the Mushroom much sooner

Since there was no one on the MK7 pretendo race server, I was actually testing whether my custom character's lod_model works properly by matching Actual 3dsxl and citra.
When testing something, I use a CT called Frost Flooded City, which replaces Coconut Mall.

i was just racing with other 2 guys and i pulled a blue shell in 3rd

i decided to hold it, and the other 2 stop in their tracks to not get hit, so i just passed them and win lol

bluffing works in MK7. Blueffing, if you will hehe

theres always someone with a mushroom or a person who never ever under any circumstances looks at the bottom screen

i always hold the blue shell for a bit, even in larger rooms

getting 1st by bluffing is rare, but its not unusual to create a bit of panic in the top positions, and closening the pack a bit that way
