I got my Wii U for $25 on eBay was "bricked" but using a Pi Pico I was able to reinstall all the corrupted parts, but I haven't had issues since so I'm sure It's fine. (It's been over a year now) I wish I still had my OG one, though I got the gamepad on eBay elsewhere.
