There's a lot of minor things about mk8u that I like better than the rerelease

#

Firehopping is one of them, sure, but I prefer the less item chaos with no double item boxes, and the netcode during races are way less prone to phantom item hits on general, etc

Well, that's the point. Since Cemu player (most likely) can't easily change their Mii, neither can they change their Country/System Settings

I think no country, custom mii would be a little harder to do

Yeah, most likely. It's basically the same with the vWii on the Wii U with stuff like Wiimmfi. You don't have a country selected due to you never being asked for one, so you get no country assigned (which pretty much is just a random spot in games like MKW)

It's just a thing with emulating (including the vWii) where the emulated thing isn't quite like the real one (who could have guessed)

No, it was actually for protecting the servers

With the previous system, a hacker could make a new account at any time because otps didn't get banned, just accounts

But the way it is now, the otp (console key) gets banned and the hacker (quite literally) pays

i never had issues with playing with real hardware on cemu, it just comes down to the wireless & graphical performance of the device running cemu

#

you’re already at an advantage using cemu performance wise, but if your internet isn’t up to par then it’ll be laggy for everyone

well you could get uncapped fps, lower latency & any controller setup you want

i think you should if you have under 60 fps in cemu (or have a patch that lures the game for you e.g. to 30 fps but runs the same speed on the server ). If you drop to say 57 fps or so for a few seconds that is certainly not so bad but if you do not reach the 60 at all, you should not play with others. I wonder how online gaming then works in Pc games, for example, which are designed for different FPS. I for one see beui me only quite rarely a frame rate below 60, fluctuates actually always between 59.5 and 60.5.

Yes the console will probably always reach 60 unless it overheats or something and has to throttle the line, but so far I haven't seen a game run slower by players.
