#I'm not understanding cadences fully

oh wait I'm looking at it now and maybe I'm the wrong person to ask - it would be helpful to looka t teh answer choices though
but basically both the last two measures could be argued to being a D major chord so if you look at the measure before that that's an A major chord going to D major
but that just doesn't feel like the right way to look at it which is why I'm confused too lmao
like that would theoretically be a imperfect authentic cadence
the other way would be to look at literally the last two sets of notes and seeing the E to D thing but I don't think that would be an answer choice and I'm just viewing that as like a transition thing
The harmonic rhythm here isn’t measure to measure, it’s beat to beat
Like it is earlier in the excerpt, but you frequently see a quickening at cadence points
Wait I’m not real ignore me
so to answer the original question, would that be a ii-I motion at the end there? I got kinda confused there bc I didn't think that would be a real cadence option
oh
so what would the real walking bublasaur say
The real walking bulbasaur would be roughly 1000 miles away from my current location
Me rn
real
that would be the real bulbasaur
but the quesiton remains unanswered
what the heck is going on
I mean you did answer the question the way I would’ve
It’s fucky though so I think you could argue it more than one way
Yeah its really confusing to me
The choices are Half cadence, Authentic cadence, and Neither
@floral helm
So would it be neitehr?
I would personally go with authentic cadence
Half cadence wouldn’t make sense for me
Authentic cadence makes the most sense bc of the V-I movement
Wait do you understand that?
Also if you just google cadences there’s a Wikipedia page that has the ones you need to know
