First, update lacklustre elements to match design elements of other UI - My first example here is a new healthbar it would have designs similar to that of the level/exp icon. The line segments just split the bar into segments for flavor.

Main Hud Elements

  • Health could have updated details/borders similar to other elements as drawn below, the actual concept of splitting the bar into segments with the divisions is just flavor/style and honestly could be a better way to gauge or even communicate with friends how low exactly you are, little details are important!
    • I would also make the healthbar longer, as the current one is quite short.

Inventory & Equipment
First, expand the row of equipment to 4 boxes. This way, a row is each of the current 4 weapon types. Organize gear by priority, starting from the what monster it comes from and then in what order of progression the weapons/monsters come, i.e Primitive will always appear at the top, Primal in row #2, Scaleback under them for row 3, and then Venomcrest, Tremorhoof, Thunderhorn, > Frostclaw & then Thundertail as the final row for now.

Additionally, weapons would now sort in order from Cleaver Saw > Axe > Spear > Hammer in their respective rows.
I would also merge both armor tabs into one, as now with the expanded UI you could divide two pieces from each monster into rows of 4, split into halves for monsters. This would clean up the look & sorting of weapons much much more, and could additionally be used for the armor tabs for better consistency. (Imagine the drawn image shows Primitive Upper Armor & Lower Armor side by side, and as armor is only in pairs of two, the Primal Set would be next to those two for that row and so on.)

I will learn photoshop and make better examples of the inventory, trust

I agree on these, but I would place the armor tops together in a upper row/lower row pattern rather than next to each other. Like the top armor of a set would be in the top row and the bottoms of that same set would appear underneath of it. Could be done pretty easily if I'm not mistaken 🤔

also I would just gut the armor icon, the little shield that's just like 2 armor

Defense itself is a fine mechanic for damage reduction
