correct, since you can't tell the bots to not fire their weapons, and fireing invalidates, it would just make using bots on it frustrating/confusing. But using bots to kill everything for you invalidates the point of the achievement.
so is it just intended for the achievement to be that no one fires for the whole thing?
admittedly that was my first assumption, though the description does kinda leave some slight room for interpretation, and you could think that it's just meant to be yourself specifically
The spirit of the ach is about not using your guns. Since it would be so easy for 3 people to carry one person (by the 3 firing weapons, the one not) (hence the discovery of the bot cheese), we set it up that it's team-based. Bots just happened to fire their weapons in a different way than normal players.
I have heard the feedback that the description could use improvement and I'll bring that up internally.

A lot of the achievements in this game can be not in the spirt of the achievements. Complete a d tier using no doors r1d1 is kinda free

I think there's a different between playing a level for an ach where you're supposed to complete it with only melee/tools, and you do that, but instead you let bots fire their weapons and mop up for you, than still playing the level and just choosing a level that is most optimal.

I guess its a question as to whether the "Removed Rundowns" are canon. I would assume they are no longer canon, but since most of the logs are on the santonian website... maybe the difference is moot?

For the superscouts the data block says 161HP, 81 bodypartHP, 1x crit mult, and a 0.3 armor multiplier. So in theory you have to break 2 tumors at nearly the same time to kill. I'm unsure if back mult is a thing. Sniper deals 81.12 prec damage so just enough to break a tumor even from the front. I have no clue how he broke a tumor with the knife... or how the sniper finished the enemy. There shouldn't be overkill damage on the tumor. I wonder what I'm missing here.
Pretty sure sniper leaves nightmare scout very low, though I donāt know the exact numerical number

afaik one of the zones in secondary with hsus doesnt have a cell
If this zone is NOT the one with your hsu and you open it while having used the other available 4 cells then you cant access your hsu Zone (that has the missing cell)
so if you an idiot and open both side zones in main and then open the all but your hsu zone while the hsu zone has a cell then you softlocked
but shouldn't it at least mention ab the other cells then instead of just 1 main - 1 sec?

its funny how all the soft locks (that actually lock you out without a player being stuck or with bugs involved) are generator/cell combos

I checked a few times and 2 of the 3 zones had a cell each. If 2 cells can spawn in the same zone, you could still get softlocked. Otherwise you will begin secondary with 2 cells and even if you choose the zone with no cell first, you can still open one of the other 2

It won't change any existing areas, at least I've not come across <ins> or <del> tags anywhere. They're tags used to annotate changes to a document.
I was going to upload a diff of all the game logs with similar logs, and highlighting the changes is particularly useful. I could just style them inline using style, but figured a CSS change might be easier.

I am personally a very big fan of doing a bunch of work for a minor thing (me, learning the intricacies of the wiki math rendering environment just for some pretty formulas), but what is the advantage over the images? Images as part of the infoboxes is pretty standard no?
Mostly copypaste-ability and the ability to format it to look nice and clean

The wiki page for the "IIX Syringe" does not mention how its effect wears off after your first attack against an enemy, making the implication its effect could be used multiple times in the 8 second window, which does not seem to be the case.

Gonna try rewriting the R7C2 guide, it's got a bit of inaccurate info (like saying desert run at end of main objective is on a 2 minute timer, not mentioning how you get the bulkhead key, and saying the fog will lower at 5 cells plugged in (it will only if you checkpoint)

Bit more complicated than that. The objective (terminal command vs scans) is tied to the order you do it in, but the wave spawns are tied to whether it is main/secondary.
I actually think it is even more complicated than that, but haven't looked deeply into it

Looks good! Incredible level of detail and looking at the old page it definitely needed some fleshing out, but it might lean on being too comprehensive.
What I mean by that: the wiki tries to be descriptive rather than prescriptive - we state what players need to do, not how they should do it.
For example, it is possible to get the bulkhead key with any of the sets of cells, while it might be easiest to get with the 1/2 set, stating that isn't necessarily something for the overview part of the article, more appropriate as a tip after that
Same thing with the timing of opening overload bulkhead, opening it early is actually very strongly advised if you want to do overload with the 3/4 cell, which is a completely valid way of attempting the level
All that said, it is a massive improvement over the original article, so excellent work! More just something to keep in mind if you were looking to make similar additions on other levels
I actually had no idea that secondary unlocked after 6 cells, I always heard the "door unlocked sound" after you finished the gen cluster main scan

i genuinely do not see the reason why the devs decided to remove the originals in favor of any alt// placements. to me that sounds horrendously bad of an idea. the lore is already convoluted and overly complicated such that barely anyone bothers to read into it at all, yet moving previously known-to-be logs just makes it worse.

Just for reference, I removed the log from the wiki because I have a script which outputs, amongst other things, the Index of Logs page (https://gtfo.fandom.com/wiki/Index_of_Logs), and when there is a new patch, I can just re-run the script and note the additions/removals of the specific logs.

For "How many cosmetics are there" section, i've recalculated the amounts of RANDOMLY acquired cosmetics:
+34 Helmets
+15 Torsos
+14 Legs
+16 Backpacks
+22 Colour Palletes
for a total of 101 RNG cosmetics.
Accounted for 83 missions that are in the game - that's 18 cosmetics new players from Rundown 7 and onwards are potentially locked out from.
Noticed a lot of guns didn't get updated with their r8 changes. I gave the arbalist it's lower bulletcost (just guessed until I got the total 184 like it has in-game)

the empty shells come out of both sides of the gun, alternating left to right with each shot
the weapon has incredibly fire rate, more than a bullpup but still less than the mschinepistol, which makes it one of the faster weapons to kill giants not counting oneshots
it is one of the only weapons to have a grip in the front, along with it being the same one as the bullpup and both were introduced in the same rundown

hello o/, i wanted to discuss a change i want to make, wanted to get some opinions and stuff just to gauge if this is something you guys are okay with or if you prefer the current layout:
the current layout for the expedition table section on the individual rundown pages feels cluttered and isn't very user-friendly, especially with the need to scroll horizontally to see beyond the second expedition of each tier.
this is mainly caused by having the image of the level included with each expedition; I strongly believe we should just drop the images for each specific mission and instead list the sublevel name (e.g., ALT://R5A1 - FLOODWAYS), along with everything else currently (some extra information also).
the expedition images aren't very table friendly, and a large portion isn't very useful while taking up so much space.
i've provided an image of what it looks like currently, and the change that i kinda wanna make for all the rundown pages (def a wip, just what i have so far). i also just found the list of expeditions page - i think something very similar to that (+ adding sector task type) could also work very well.

also, here's a different design, it's basically the layout from the list of expeditions page. the first redesign is there for comparison, wonder which one is preferred. also, feel free to give any suggestions for a completely different design or the ones made so far. things like color choice, layout, etc.
i dont like the second design a whole lot, the fact that it lists checkpoints seems a lil useless- more so cause 5 rundowns out of 8 don't have them
feels like a lot of wasted space for the majority of rundown pages

that's fair, maybe ill just keep it for the newer rundowns that actually have them. i think a potential alternative is something about the infection maybe? i've seen some expedition pages have whether or not infection is in play, like this one (although this type of info is very inconsistent, some pages have this info, others don't even though there is infection in that level). i could also just completely remove that column if there isn't anything else.
I think the second redesign is probably preferrable.
The mostly vertical layout will make it much more usable on mobile devices.
I'd tend to agree that the additional columns of checkpoints/expedition depth(/infection presence) are probably best left off. With that info being available on the expedition pages themselves.
Seems like majority prefer the 1st design, so I'm gonna go ahead and make that change to alt r5.

Reading the Precision Multiplier page -- the introduction paragraph gives the impression that shooting a weak-spot should increase the damage dealt, but most of the figures listed are below 1.0, which when multiplied would reduce the damage not increase it. I can't make much sense of how that mechanic is meant to work?
the precision multiplyer only comes into play when hitting crit spots. With the exception of something like the N-Scout which has a multi of 1x these are always above 1x (ranging from 1x to 5x)
the precision multi is then multiplied with the crit multi leading to a still higher value
(even for the N-scout the shot cant be reduced below its base dmg, so it would still do 30 if the calculation is 30 (base) x 0.7413 (prec multi) x 1 (crit multi)
yea its a bit confusing until you look at the example calculations. it should probably be revised at the top of the page - from my understanding the precision multiplier is applied on top of the weakpoint multiplier (if applicable).

if you headshot a giant with a hel gun its

vs with a sniper its

When hitting an enemy in their weakspot the player's damage will be multiplied by both their weapon's Precision Multiplier and the enemy's Weakspot Multiplier. While most weapons have Precision Multipliers less than 1 most enemy's Weakspot Multipliers are much bigger than 1, so the player ends up dealing extra damage.
For most enemy and weapon combinations the bonus multiplier ends up being ~2-3. Weapons with high Precision Mutlipliers (such as the Precision Rifle or Sniper) will result in notably higher bonus multipliers. Additionally, for some enemies such as Giants, which have a weakspot multiplier of just 1.5, combined with a fairly typical Precision Multiplier of 0.7413 results in a bonus multiplier of just 1.11195, only 11% bonus damage.
Weakspot hits can never deal less than base damage, so even in the case when the product of the Precision Multiplier and Weakspot Multiplier is less than one (such as when shooting a Nightmare Scout with a Scattergun) the player's shots will simply deal base damage. The back of an enemy does not count as a weakspot for the purposes of the Precision Multiplier, although for most enemies you will deal extra damage from behind through the Back Multiplier. However, for enemies that have both a weakspot and can receive bonus back damage it is possible to stack both of these damage bonuses at once. E.g. hitting an enemy in the head from behind can apply both the enemy's Headshot Multiplier, your weapon's Precision Multiplier as well as the Back Multiplier. This is typically referred to as the "occiput" of the enemy.

Yes, simplest explanation is that its just a game mechanic and doesn't need to align with reality, i.e. a virus hurting you immediately. Could be that the fog contains the parasite, not the virus, and they're more destructive š¤·āāļø . But either case I guess the point of the wiki is to document these things for the reader's own interpretation

minor complaint, having MTFO listed as one of the two mods that "players will also need to install" is a bit of a strange decision to me? since that's the main mod that, well, loads other levels and stuff, and if you're loading other levels you won't be able to play with others unless they have the same things, as well as it disabling achievements unlocking by default
if you're specifically talking about mods that load other levels, that's fine, but having it listed before talking about some strictly client mods that can be run without any sort of coordination or extra thought being required... just a bit weird to me

for the hyperlinks on the objectives though, while it looks better, i feel like the hyperlinks aren't the most intuitive on what it would lead to

like, there is no specific article for hydrostasis, just HSUs, so if a log or something needs linking to hydrostasis, it'd only point to the objective item page

i think having an updated clear outline structure for each page type is enough initially and over time we can add all the info itself
for example, even if we havenāt filled in a list of all enemy types for every expedition page yet, if thatās something we want to include on each page, there should already be a designated labeled space for it
everything gets copied over initially and then its up to us to edit it to be different from the fandom stuff
generally yeah speed isnt super important but initially they want a lot of changes done within the first month
you can do that with fandom as far as i know, but yeah im pretty sure wiki.gg can do that too
