I'd consider things like speedrunning or soloing/duoing to be tryharding. They're also really enjoyable, I've done a bunch of both.

Fair point, those rooms are great. DX While you can technically just trigger the room n go guns blazing, it's one of the few times where stealthin' the whole thing feels particularly rewarding
i think it's relavant to mention that my favorite weapons are usually the niche ones, the r1 machinegun, the machinepistol, the 556 rifle, things that aren't the best but have a unique feel to them
Scouts, while maybe not the hardest enemy, are one of my favorites just because it's one of the few times where you have to change up the way you approach a room in stealth. Not by much obviously, as skilled players can just roll up and confidently demolish it's cranium soft spot, but it's a nice change of pace, especially for new players

oh I found them outright awful
on levels like b2 secondary, the tension of being on terminal and having gunfire all around you and your entire team relying on you to be successful with it is great
everything rides on your shoulders and all you can do is focus on hacking while you hear hordes of sleepers beating down the doors and your teammates fighting tooth and nail to protect you
its something i deeply enjoy
I found the middle terminal in particular to be the worst, cause you get that false sense of hope that the flyers won't be able to touch you there, which is an absolute lie
oh on dx? yeah those were bad.
Main issue is performance. My teammates had like 10 frames between them, and I had horrible pacing issues which meant I couldn't aim. The cringe forced audio log beforehand doesn't help though.

I guess take it as a suggestion in future that dropping patch notes a little early could allow players to get them out of the way before the game drops

Honestly the marketing part of the new rundowns is... I won't say "terrible" but it seems like you guys haven't figured it out yet?
- You could take inspiration from what PoE does (or any other game with a regular releases schedule). Leading up to the release, hype up your player base by dropping some teasers here and there. Maybe something daily in the last week leading up to the release.
- You definitely need to release a trailer way, way sooner. Something like one week before the release. This gets people hyped up and it will be shared to people who don't play the game (by people who play the game).
- The dev streams at launch is just... Yikes. 95% of people who play the game will play the game (???) at launch. They won't be watching the dev stream until after. 95% of people who don't play the game will not watch the dev stream. The idea/format isn't bad but this lacks consideration. You could do it 1 week after the launch and bundle it with some "launch post-mortem" or "early rundown stats" or things like this.
- And finally, patch notes. It's probably way more subjective than the rest at this point, but I guess releasing them maybe 1 or 2 days before the new content might be a good idea. This way, players get technical information out of the way (which weapon will be in the rundown, what they'll want to try out first, whether X bug has been fixed or not). Also it sparks some discussion before the release which is always a good thing.
Your game is awesome. Having proper marketing and communication with the community is key to keeping it awesome for the years to come! Good luck for the R7 release 💪

Something similar to a scout, but it just positions itself in the fetal pose, surrounded by other enemies. And it has it's feelers directly linked to the nerves of the surrounding sleepers, so if you kill any of the connected sleepers it'll wake up and trigger the alarm. So you have to sneak past all the other sleepers and take it down first
additionally it'd be cool visually to watch every single connected sleeper pulse violently as the tendrils disconnects, only for them to quickly fall back into a slumber
