I probably had issues with that because we used a checkpoint, and they're still pretty buggy, was wondering though
yeah i've had where someone who joins mid run has a different IP for the initial uplink connect and then the waves never stop spawning even after all codes are entered

yeah, the three letter/digit code wasn't even one of the options on the other terminal for the other person

so only way to do it in that situation would have host run back and forth between the terminals? lol
it could be that you guys arent seeing the correct code i.e. "Y07" but the logs file that has the passwords is correct
could be worth trying 1 more time where host does the uplink connect, then reads the code and one of you can find the password
yeah, I'm gonna give it another try tonight and hopefully this time we don't have to deal with any of these issues if no one dc's on us
the way I've seen most players deal with that is to just sneak through it, don't wake up that room, there's no alarms in or near there

the error alarm stuff, you just have your teammates hold back the waves since they have a set spawn point area, they can't spawn inside that area or near the father room, so you can have one sneak

personally I'd recommend going through the charger error alarm part instead of the mother stealth part, but generally you shouldn't be fighting the mothers anyway, but if you still want to, give the bots scatterguns and they'll actually instagib the mom

How does one solo giants with the bat
u bonk them, effectively
you have to aim for the legs, arms, then the head, in any order you choose, to continually stagger the giant till it dies
if you break all of those limbs, then try the center chest, after that, can't stagger as effectively
sledgehammer is better for that situation
but you can do it with the bat

Spear can out range them and can break limbs on full charge to force a longer stagger
Hammer and bat stagger on full charges. Hammer can break limbs in a full charge for a longer stagger
Hammer can also out range giants if you understand how hammer arc works
Giants can only have 4 parts break, after that they will stop breaking
Head, chest, pelvis, both arms, both legs
It didn't occur to me that you can stagger them and lock them in place with the bat or the hammer.
I find it risky to melee them since if I fail it means I will have 3 dead bots around the giant after they all get spin attacked once. Usually if I have to do it loud, it's with CQ Scattergun. Unlike sniper rifle, it relibly drop them when sneaking and in combat.
But I now that I know, I can try practicing downing them in melee.

Hammer can solo stealth giants cause of the buffs to stagger multi and charge speed
And with a bit of practice you can out range giants with it so you don’t risk getting slapped

I like doing very quick chain kills while they are sleeping with either the bat or the knife. It's fun. Makes me feel like a slasher film villain.
Knife is good until you realize how agro mechanics in stealth work, and that the bat is effectively the same thing but with more utility

Oh man, you have no idea how many times I screamed as I watch the 90000 IQ bots in the middle of the reactor wave as we are being swarmed by Naruto Runners as they stand around doing exactly nothing then as the situation gets dire, instead of using the 100% MG I gave them, they bring out their butter knife or stick to try and hit the mobs.

Not going to lie, It was a mess. But at the end, I had to stand on the platforms and juggle him left and right as he is stuck between trying to pick an optimal way to close in and hiding his meatballs. Then I had to wait for it to roar. One of its roaring animation have it bend over forward, that's the only time I could take a clear shot on the meatballs with my sniper rifle. When it attacks, I hid myself behind cover. I am going to try again but this time I will place mines on walls and have him back towards them.

we accidentally woke up the tank room on the way back and had to fight the two last codes in the fog
though we couldn't see very well then anyways so probably wouldn't have made much of a difference
After overload, you usually want to reach the reactor within 20-25 minutes.
Otherwise, the fog isn't actually the worst if you know the map.
The other wise thing was to have someone save fog repellors and throw then for the tank fight.
Two people even made that fog much more manageablr when you tryin to figure it out.
Just fight it in the key zone

Our strat was to play as fast as possible, get to the 5th code, and then the fog actually didn't matter because we had strats for it.
Like, we could probably cope w/ like 30-40 minutes to get to the reactor (maybe, 40 is pushing it).
Man. I was this close to finishing that level 6 sequence in D1. Then bots derped out, tried meleeing mobs while we are being mobbed, got one downed, then the rest folded because they decided to revive each other over killing the mobs around them.
in the heat of battle a bot stops shooting and starts running around w/ a medpack in hand or starts reviving w/ 2 strikers crawling around. infuriating.
or just as the door is closing a bot walks outside to bioscan tag. just as you didn't have time for de-re-spawn. gaah.
God help you if two of them are holding a medipack each.

So true, I hate how if one bot dies it guarantees the rest dying as well since they will attempt to revive in combat
our biggest grief is the running thru closing doors thing, if you're quick you can do the de-re-spawn thing in about 5 seconds or so, but that's 5 seconds of being in the menus
pre-patch they just phased back thru no problem, not anymore
i feel like they make bot not be able to walk through walls so it seems more realistic

Yeah. Have to wait for them to be improved. I gave up D1 for today because of that C6 alarm section. Completed it clean the first time around but bots decided to melee the last 6 or so strikers despite having >80% ammunition each. Didn't even kill one and I got mobbed.
Getting better at that myself too. If i got room to run in circles strikers don't scare me anymore

in the past rundowns you could snipe enemies and hit melee fast to make it silent, idk if that still works tho

My take on that level was that you're constantly jumping to different periods of time because our characters have been there multiple occassions. So, we're there to properly unlock and lock parts of the facility the Warden wants to use.

Considering how fast it is to get to the reactor, the only long bit of the level is the fog terminal
So it's just an expedition style level
But if you do all of the steps, how does it compare to long and grueling levels like EP/overload or whatever?

Instead turn that off as well as the shadow error at the 2nd terminal

You have to finish Overload, runback to the other side of the map for extreme (with pulse because error), do Extreme which is shadows, then run back to extract before 15 minutes is up or you just fight surge wave after surge wave.
I suppose the shadow scouts dont matter when surge is activated, but 🤷♂️

for this way, does the first wave of the surge spawn as soon as the 15 minutes is up, or can u disable it before the first wave spawns
Good question, don't know if the surge alarm's active when reactor's done or 15 minutes.
after main finishes you have 15 min to finish the rest of the level before the surge starts
but honestly the level is so much more satisfactory to finish when you don't just cheese switch off the surge from main
pubs will do anything but finish the level legit
Oh yeah. Imagine matchmaking for D1 for your first playthrough only for the 3 guys you matched with immediately jump into fart gas in total darkness.

Oh I see him now. Time to UHH play with them for a bit until I figure out how to murder them, I guess.
For the charger scouts, the easiest way is to c foam them and hammer them 3-4 times. For big chargers, you can kill them with a team same as big strikers, just be ready to have space to move around since the big chargers get launched further away by stagger.

but back damage bug can make it 2 and a half
just keep in mind, that they got no head
only weakpoint is the back
they do have head but it's armored....
normally u can stealth kill a charger with a fullcharge to the back with hammer or spear, but back damage bug makes them survive it

if you use checkpoints its probably easier than D3, if you are a no checkpoint enjoyer its a bit tougher
