R1A1 didn't have diverging paths though, it was a straight shot all the way excluding areas within zones.

||When you first start, you get fucked by something call "Surge scans". This requires your while team to be in it which can fuck you up if you're not coordinated enough. Then you got the invisible big guys who also love to fuck you up too. They hit and run faster than the regular big ones. And if you have a team wh doesn't know what to do, you are good as dead. The. There's the 595 door, which is very hard to do and legit, the RNG can fuck you really hard like really hard. Which then Leeds onto the 4th, it's pretty RNG heavy. If the RNG isn't good, it just made the whole run more difficult||
There's more mechanics but best of luck. I highly suggest you play it for the first time with new players. It's so fun learning from scratch, I really miss the days I was shit. Since R3 is coming tomorrow, you got lucky as in you get to play with even more mechanics and weapons that some of us Vets already have. But don't be discouraged, failure is what makes you a better player in this game. Getting carried when you're new is boring and you don't learn shit, that's why I recommend people not get carried. Learning the game is the most fun part in this game imo.

@drifting ermine Oh since you're new and you have not Known how the game works yet. Don't worry, you'll get fucked a bunch. It's normal for new players do not do he A tier in first few tries. If it's with a complete new team, expect it to take some time. But you will most certainly fall in love with it if you love challenging games. It took me 6 hours to do the first A level in R1 and when I did D1 in that rundown, I could complete R1 in under 50 minutes. So you'll get better each level. Good luck!

They've always 100% ran faster than normal giants. The shadows giants for sure, always run faster. I've never, ever had expedition where shadow giants has been slow. I've even had to kite them all on my own several times, they feel faster and also hit faster than regular from my experience.

u just get unlucky then the giant strikers do have a sprint but they most of the time dont use it

in D1 you get cancer , D2 most fun level . E1 you get the objective for R3A1 + a alot of suffering

At the middle of e1
D1 is a stealth-heavy level that forces you to go up against some hard alarms right away and then stealth through several zones with multiple enemies, including titans and scouts, in order to collect cells for the central generator cluster. You need to do 1-2 zones in heavy infection fog without a turbine (just fog repellers), but it's a very good stealth-oriented level otherwise.
D2 is a reactor level that requires you get codes from terminal logs found throughout the map. Opening zones unlocked by the reactor eventually means you have three paths enemies can come from, including a large number of titans and hybrids. The terminal logs are collected for the code segments, which are timed, so you need to stealth or alert very quickly. These pit you against normal rooms, titan zones, scouts, and zones full of fog and spitters. You'll rely on a lot of the supplies you find on the side paths to actually manage the waves as well.
It's prob the only level you can completely ignore your melee.

U mean in rundown 3?
E1 requires you go through supply rooms with shadow titans to find cells and loot. You'll need to do some surge alarms to progress (each has three team scans and constantly spawns only strikers to hit the mob cap), and each of the main zones you pass through has two scouts (including one in heavy fog). After you get the neonate, that zone also will have a key which is required to reach extraction. Leading to extraction is three zones, two of which have many areas and some degree of fog. There are chances for scouts, lots of sleeping enemies, and all doors require cells. You'll need to either find those cells in the zones or carry them with you. Two of the doors have surge alarms on them. Oh, and opening the exit zones starts a class error alarm, which is essentially C2 since it never ends. The waves get larger the longer you take, starting at 3 and ending at 8.

Honestly. It would have fixed most of the problems if they done it reverse if we did the end part first and then carries on like normal. So much better.

They should have either:
a.) Opted for more down-time between waves but make them much larger and much scarier when you take too long. This would make stealth more of an option as a solution to bad RNG.
b.) Deleted zone 593 and just had extraction right after 594 (with the surge moved to this zone), then make it so that a scout always spawns in 594 but none can spawn in 593. This would have removed a lot of the needless clutter in 593, made the difficulty less variable, and cut out a lot of the difficulty that made it feel like you were wasting your time during the 1-2 hour build-up. 593 is almost all of E1's major balance issues in one place.
They should've had less rng bullshit

Yes, the Fucking RNG just makes it even more harder when you get unlucky. I really enjoyed it just not the fucking tedious grinding.
I also tend to think it's actually a bit too hard for the E tier. If they really plan to go lower to, say, F, then it feels like E1 is better built as a max difficulty expedition. A lot of the leadup feels "fair" while the error section itself feels very unfair.
I wouldn't mind seeing 593 with fairly bad RNG on an F1.
Nah, the difficulty is fine for the E tier. It's just they need to iron out the issues for it. It's perfect for us suckers who want a hard challenging expirencece. I'm glad I can go back and say that I've done it and be proud.

Naw, I think some of the really bad RNG on 595 and 593 is overtuned.
593 is heavy RNG based, and buggy.
Like, if you get 20 enemies in two to three rooms, the level gets exceptionally difficult.
595 can have terrible spawns but at least not that buggy.
If scouts are in those rooms, it's over.
Yes, the RNG is what makes it a bad level. They had the difficulty spot on, it's just the E1 suffers a lot from how it's been executed. Like RNG, time, e.t.c all the issues about the community complained about. If they ironed all of that out, E1 would be very good. Also, E1 in reverse would just be a much better choice.
Reverse the route is probably too generous.
Nah, if they kept it like that with the same difficulty it would be much more fair and less time consuming. If they wanted to split it midway, they could do the part halfway in the expedition. I would not have an issue with that.
The problem with it is doing like E1 50 attempts. A lot of time goes into it. A little too much.
D2 was perfect in my opinion, it was a beautiful level done correctly.

I really should have played the R1 version of the MG since that's the one I hated most cause of the recoil
the problem with the R1 machinegun wasnt the recoil for me it was the low mag ammo
it does 2 shot kill to the heads on strikers IIRC
it was better for single shots i think

in R1C1 i used to use it for long range taping

The sad part is that the Shotgun was already kind of poor, but this just makes it borderline worthless.

The devs felt that the shotgun needed a good nerf due to many of things, it's all in the eyes of them and the feedback they got from R2. They have a lot of data they can use and go through to decide which guns needs nerfs/buffs.

Like it's good to reuse things, but in E1 it was done so incredibly intelligently - the copied rooms were deliberately in darkness, and lights were intentionally placed to cast shadows like the shadow giants
but there was nothing new in A2. Just "okay, we've already got this shit lets make some money off it"
the fact that there are only 2 B missions and 2 C/D missions, with there being 3 bland, boring A missions is really disapointing
