You need to unlock sec bulk first, THEN you can go and acquire extra ammo from main.
Scatter is the nighty-night button for Moms
You can try, but its ill adivsed.
I guess you can take a first sync attack on his tumors, then run to save some ammo.
Bonus points if all spears.
Extra bonus points if boosters.
But frankly currently nothing beats 4 scatters up the ass

so it was just go time
and it was a wipe

Just without premature scouting
You clear the super meatball and his friends, sneak past the scouts to the scan and just trigger all of them on the way back.

They will actually summon normal enemies and dillute the spawn tables from nightmares. You don't care because you're just gonna run past them straight to extraction.
There is no point in actually trying to fight your way through - in my experience there's just not enough ammo, or people are not that good at fighting nightmares.

Hey, I'm in the third level formatting the datacubes, what command do I put in for the "Format Warning" thing?
I've tried every combination I can think of and nothing's working

Does putting in the command on the 3 floodgate terminals do anything in R8D2 or does it just shorten the time for the security door to open?
i think it reduces the strength of the waves, not sure though

Is there a way to prevent enemies spawning right on top of you and behind in r8d2 extraction? It hinders us completing it because they swarm us from all directions.
We had similar issues in r8b4 with the giants spawning apart from the actual wave right on top of us maybe its a bug through multiple levels?
make sure the team doesn't split up with players 2 rooms away from each other. or, if you do have players 2 rooms away from other players, have one player stand in the middle room to spawnblock.
We are usually with 3 in the room next to the big one with schaeffer at the bottom and i carry the mwp upstairs but as soon as i enter enemies spawn in that room and sometimes on top of me. So we are not really split up far away of each other idk man
First wave is always spawning the normal way with snatchers but second is just erverywhere
weird, i usually do something similar and enemies always come from the mother-zone direction until MWP holder has left the big room, at which point they spawn behind, but not on top of us. probably just a bug/gtfo moment

no lmfao me and my friend saw that two terminals were in resource zone and went "nah we dont want to fight a tank"
and then like 10 minutes later, we had to fight a tank anyways!
we were super stacked after secondary and wanted to play it safe so the moment we opened resource zone and saw like the 200 hybrids and sleeping tank we both went "nah" and passed on it
oh actually im pretty sure we had to fight two tanks
it might be that the number of tanks that spawn from the wave depend on the number of floodgates you have closed
we only closed one floodgate, and we got a tank somewhere in the middle and near the end as well
anyways yeah close those fricking floodgates
i remember having to fight a tank soon after opening up the second power-out zone you needed to wait for alt team to get open
and one near the end in with the alarm deactivation room with the huge dome + ladder
actually there are so many fricking tanks in R8
Friends: any R8C1 overload tips? Do the giants ever stop coming? I know people say to do overload before secondary, but is it really worth it?
the waves do stop coming but it gets queued up even if you do the terminal fast. so the whole 3 minute wave does come and it can stack if you just keep going. You could try to clear before starting next terminal. I think thats how it works
ya it was a surprise to find out they are reactor waves instead of alarm waves

The RNG on the terminals is crazy too. On one run we got the same terminal IN THE ROOM for all three vers
Unfortunately we didnt know that it ended with a tank and shadow giants wave so we rushed up the stairs and got pulverized
Does anyone know what to do for R8A2 main? We just did the "smi override" and now the objective is just "installing update"
There should be a new command on each terminal after the smi command

Go Secondary, do everything but dont put the code in, Go Overload, prelist all the terminals divided by the three zones so you know where to go, when scan starts everyone goes to the door you need since there's a team scan, 1 guy defend at the bottom of the staircase (ideally with Scattergun but whatever), 2 go to fetch the code and 1 stays in the main terminal. After Phase 1 is done, wave stops, open ALL the other zones, clear them, then resume as before. You can have 2 people defending and 1 fetching but if the waves spawn on the fetcher it might be needed for 1 to swap, caution because I think that failing the phase 3 means you add a tank since ending of phase 3 should be a tank. Finish Overload, error starts, go to Secondary, put code in, go to Extraction.
It's such a trek to go back to secondary
Sadly, players will often elect the most optimal, yet less fun way of doing things, when given the choice
It is kind of the same reasoning that pushed players to use circle kiting to handle R4B2 Overload alarms, back in the day
I wouldn't compare doing that to leaving the terminal last

(which could have very simply being fixed, a bit, by having the bulk key being in the same zone as the bulk term for overload)

R1B1 about to become the most played level for all these achievements
in r8b3 is the filtration door the best option? what does it do also?
filtration door has a much harder wave but theres no fog for the next scan. if you go repellers/turbine it will be a lot easier but youll just have to deal with fog for one scan + a couple rooms right after
I guess a couple areas in secondary that can be dealt with if you just pick up some repellers as well. but then the rest of the level has no fog issues. overall i find the level still pretty easy to deal with if you dont use the filtration door but some players like the challenge of the extreme scan and then not having to deal with fog at all
its a pretty heavy scan to do just to make a couple rooms less foggy though imo, i always vote for turbine when my teams get there

B3 gives you 3 door options. One gives access to some fog repellers and has the easiest alarm.
The next gives a fog turbine but has a harder alarm.
The last removes the infectious part of the fog but has the hardest alarm to get through
sorry just wasn't sure if it was just the door to open the filtration area that the class is harder, or like the error alarm later is just harder

There’s a time delay between each verification code; they don’t need to be interacting with the terminal but basically needs to be stuck to it nearby
So if any enemies do make it past terminal guy should be able to shoot
Holding top of ladder is dependent on how well you shoot and what loadout
I think that section is also easier without holding a fog turbine

It has less than other levels to work with, and is less complex

tbf I think r4e1 is easier than r2e1
I guess they struggle with pushing forward as a team while dealing with error waves, or with communication

I am playing with randoms, so yes it's very difficult to coordinate quickly while doing 4 other things simultaneously
And for communication, even if you clearly state what to do some people won't listen
I called to have cfoam and turbine push to a door to foam and mine it before starting surge, but it didn't happen because of complacency or something

The difficulty in the ending of r2e1 is trying to micromanage clueless players that don't know what's going on while trying to move 2 or 3 heavy objects, clear enemies, save doors, and loot at the same time

2 separate occasions, first one is a terminal along the scan path, the second one u gotta hit 3 terminals in sequence on scan start... after secondary, there is none (afaik)

What is the optimal strategy if the team wants to do the Class S X alarm for R8D2 secondary to clear all fog?
when I did it with a few other people we had 2 c-foam launchers instead of c-foam and a turret just to stall the enemies longer
and killing the tank as quick as possible
How long were you able to stall before they broke in?
uhh... a mine pre-emptively exploded and broke the small door lol
we were still able to use c-foam to freeze enemies though
and we killed the tank in a decent amount of time
I wouldn't recommend mining against Snatchers.
Since Snatchers can clip through the door quite far to trigger any mines on the other side.
You can foam 2 doors, permafoam w/ 1 cfoam launcher, and have everyone try to bring cfoam nades for tank

Alright, my spreadsheet is 2 logs off from my achievement count. I assume its R1C2 logs, actually, but i will re-read them just to be sure. Otherwise... I'm on the right track.
R8C2 "extraction" was very surprising. I was fully ready to make a run to extraction through an error alarm or something, but no - it just... Woosh, just like that.
On a side note: HEL Pistol really grew on me. LIke seriously. Love the design, love the function.

Its a normal alarm that has a very low cooldown time (effectivelly immediate) and spawns 1 room away instead of 2 rooms or something? Couldn't confirm that one.

You do, however, run the risk of missing the kill if scout is further than 7-8m away.

been a while since i've tried that, but i wouldn't be surprised if we don't show hte join lobby button if you're already in a lobby (or maybe it's just host of the lobby that doesn't see it)
if you join a lobby while in one, i believe we do gracefully handle that, so it's more of a ui/ux issue than a technical one
