D2 isn't that mechanically demanding. It's one thing that makes it really fun to PuG, your teammates have to be really bad + sniper sentries have to run dry to struggle on that level once you know what's up.

Like different ways to play the level within the layers of difficulty is what I’d love. Most secondary and Overload objectives tend to just be a linear path with no choices in them, I’d love different choices in the bulkheads as well

I think a lack of independence is the bigger issue. You kind of need people that can handle themselves if they're paired off either defending or looting, and a lot of people are used to coasting while other people do the heavy lifting. Terminals is just an example of that, but it includes not checking your surroundings effectively and barely putting a dent into waves.

Example of my idea for a different take on layered difficulty. You have chargers and shadows in a room, and there are three doors. One of them has the extreme item behind it, but is locked by a command. The command is found on a terminal in both of the side zone areas.You have two different zone doors to choose from. One door triggers an error alarm with chargers and you have to fight through several zones to reach the terminal, which can be used to shut down the alarm and unlock the extreme item door. The other door causes a blackout, is filled with shadows, and the terminal will not restore power. Then you proceed through the final zone to grab the item

I think it is designed to be the easiest one, they said in their rundown explanation video that the levels get harder as you go further down the rundown, so A1 will always be designed to be the easiest

A lot of the challenge comes from the map layout, yeah, where enemies can spawn from during an alarm door, how many doors you have to guard, sleeper positioning in a room (more RNG than the map, but map can affect it)
so it will still be a challenge, something to figure out, but will be the easiest out of the rundown by design

Installed overtone with 15% battery. Im editing my profile and I get the 5%battery warning. That shit EATS battery life what the fuck
Not to mention the mobile app is laggy as hell. The one thing it has above Discord is it actually has mobile sound effects

@rain tendon Right now one of the areas that Overtone is helpful in is the Voice and Party side of things, as well as the grouping community for creating a party to matchmake. They have amazing audio quality and scalability that allows for thousands of people to be in a voice chat at once, but the party leader can mute everyone except a few people so many can listen but only a few can talk. In the future GTFO and Overtone are strengthening that relationship with an SDK that will allow even cooler functionality.
You can use Overtone for matchmaking by creating a party inside the GTFO team and that creates it under "discover parties" section for others to see available. Of course you can also use the discord here, or just grab your friends and create a private party too.
@inner stump the mobile apps do need some improvements and something the Overtone developers have recently shifted their focus to for bug fixes, enhancements, optimizations, etc.
To join the GTFO team you can click the Plus button at the button left rail > discover teams then use the search for GTFO

How's the Overtune booth doing?
@hallow epoch It's going really well. Everyone is having a lot of fun. Seeing a lot of new players stop by, but I've also seen some that have 100+ hours, some that are speed runners. Overall it's been amazing.

I am not sure if it is a good idea to divide the community in discord and shift some of them to this alternative app that's poorly optimized and not as stable as discord. I feel it would make finding matches harder as number of players decreases.
