Did you switch out for them after failing, or did you keep using them from the start?

I keep my guns and turret unless we try a new level where there's tons of Chargers. I swap to Hel Gun for the easy overpen. The Turret gets switched to mine deployer on levels with huge rooms or lots of invis sleepers. In later runs I use the Hel Gun more but it's not until R4 C floor I think because I was too uncomfortable with the charge up. Generally though I prefer the heavy machine gun though because it's great for smalls (something I get better at in later runs with quick two shot bursts and much better accuracy than you see in this specific video I posted). My job is normally to front line and deal with smalls during scans so these guns help me quite a lot in that role since I'm not great at head shots.

Theocog's job is to do objectives (except hold objectives), ping, and versatile snipe (kill bigs and save Feeler Fails). Sniper is super good at this. He uses the Shelling to stagger enemies so the rest of us can kill them without us getting hit. It's ammo efficient in this role because he's shooting far less than we are. He does have problems if he gets trapped by himself though. ShasXV is our Big Killer. His guns don't really make sense in this level, but generally he uses Carbine and Scatter. Scatter is for bigs and mini bosses, carbine is for backing up my front line during alarms. Unearhtlytag, our last guy doesn't actually normally play the game has no clue what he's even good with using yet, but his accuracy is actually pretty good so he's good in alarms and stuff. However he's pretty bad at sneaking and he hasn't play the game enough to really have any good positioning.

He could explain better than I can, but essentially you get a 3d map that shows where everyone is in the game for the duration of the game
Only host can see the damage and accuracy stats, but it's good if you're trying to learn what you've done wrong in a level once you've learnt the layout and the enemies
(and yes, it'll spoil the map cause it shows the layout, and the enemies that have spawned)

That is actually super cool. Sucks it shows the whole map but I guess it’d be hard to make the game disable stuff that locked. More work than necessary to accommodate my whining lol

The preview video of what it looks like is awesome. It’d be crazy to see clutch situation happen or solo gameplay in particular. Seeing all the enemies on the map and how they come at you? Very nice.

I have been watching my recordings very intently and keeping tallies for individual player deaths, feeler kills, room fails per player (when a specific player wakes up a room and what enemy it was), plus I count up our total alarm scans, number of attempts, start and end dates. If this thing totals up player accuracy and I could average that along with total enemies killed that would be icing on the cake!

On Attempt one we go in without our fourth member Unearthlytag to try and scout out what we're up against. We find out the hard way that there's a Mother at the stairs and we have no clue how to fight it. In Attempt 2 Unearthlytag hops back in but we do worse, getting lost and suffocating in the poison fog room in Zone 396 just before the NFrame objective. On Attempt 3, we kill the "Stairs Mother" with ease and complete the Zone 392 Class V Alarm but get overwhelmed by the Chargers in the next room. Finally, on Attempt 4 we fail both Charger Feeler rooms and survive, kill the Big Mother, and make it to Extraction for the win.

I don't remember anything from the day I initially recorded this yet somehow we beat this level on our first try and got an achievement for no one going down during the level. That's a huge feat in my opinion, all things considered. This is also probably the most unhinged opening/loading screen I've ever had in GTFO. Be prepared for some crazy dialogue in the beginning.

Also, this was our first time seeing multiple objectives and it's Theocog's first time using the terminal. Unfortunately the rest of us aren't much help with that in this level.

On top of all that, this is the Last time Unearthlytag plays with us for many months. We also take a long time prepping in this level do to my inebriated state but I've put time stamps down so you can skip past all that if you'd like.

Stealth scans or whatever you want to call them are scans that require just 1 player and aren't tied to an alarm. First sec door of R1C1 has those, now that I think about it, after that you dont meet them until much further.

It's not really a bug (it kinda is, but it kinda isn't). That zone tries to generate too many boxes, so one just ends up on the floor, but the devs left it in and changed to prompt to "surprise" as like an easter egg.

For ur info headlamps are 11m range, i zoomed from eagle view to show that we were further than 11m from the striker that woke up beside the scout. i also zoomed in on each of our current holding weapons, to show that we had no chance of waking that deep enemy with out headlamps.

More ammo just lets you do more things, vs. the weapon having weaknesses that require you to play better to do more things, but you do just do more things if you pass the skill check.

And I feel like people really do forget, a big part of why the current metagame is so oppressive is because these are guns that both have incredible ammo pools and are incredibly potent for those ammo pools. It is a best of both worlds kind of deal. Even in that metagame, BC gets underpicked because of ammo problems. Eco is not a nonexistent issue, it's just very easy to forget about it with how things currently stand.

And in this same vein, HAR's second issue is being a "bursty" weapon that isn't very bursty. Compared to other options, it is far more a sustained wave clear gun, and yet it has a completely awful ammo pool. Revo is unironically just more "burst" w/ more fuel (and is better than SR for it).

https://youtu.be/ytqxkc6tVGc Another Progression finally! This is the first level we play without Unearthlytag. I'm also completely sober for it, so it's much less of a crazy meme fest. It's also the first time we really can all cohesively think about how door controls and bulkhead keys work so there are moments we spend a lot of time talking about all that.

During our first run we had lots of problems but the big one was me using our only cell on the wrong generator, meaning we had to go back and find a different one inside the Main zones. On top of that, Theocog starts the HSU scan while no one is by him (ShasXV is literally lost and can't find us) so we waste a ton of time, making the enemies double up and hit us on what was already a bad HSU spawn.

On our next time around we fair insanely better, don't mess up the cell placement, and we get through in a faster time with almost zero downs. Our HSU scan was in a much better spot and we were all nearby to get on it right away.
