Solo is significantly harder than solo with bots for most levels. You shouldn't be playing with bots tho, game is a much better experience with actual players.

Once the feeler turns red you have a little over a second to kill the scout before it goes off. Shooting, damaging the scout, touching the scouts body, or an enemy screaming in the same room will make the scout go off almost instantly.

You don't have to worry about solo at all actually. the game is not finishable either solo or solo with bots . In a LEGIT way. You can do a lot, but not all

I don't know how long exactly you have but I can confirm from experience that you have enough time to shoot two scouts before they scream if you're using high caliber pistol. Choke mod shotgun might be the best if you want to take them out fast because high range, damage and fire rate plus narrow spread

this is false, 1 person can't kill 2 scouts with high cal before one of them goes off, the firerate is nowhere near fast enough. choke mod can tho. edit: @coral valley you have no more than half a second to kill a scout when it gets damaged or hears a gunshot before it goes off

Really the only weapons you could use to kill a scout via hitting it in the body is the burst cannon, which is a insanely high dmg gun and the choke ofc

The only viable way of doing that is literally having them within each other so you could rapidly shoot both of them in less than a second without strafing your mouse and potentially missing. Of course, also dsync + ping issues can obviously factor in as well. Couldn't tell ya myself since it's been a while when I tried killing 2 scouts at once w/ a gun

25x2=50, scout has 42 hp, pre nerf you could kill cscouts like this. HC is still rly good for shooting lone scouts in the head from a fairly long range

watch the videos I sent further down, with a lower rof on sniper that's not possible without desync fuckery. The likely explanation is your teammate shot it in the back which would kill it in one shot 40x2 and cscouts have 60 hp, even if it wasn't directly behind there is room for error. You're welcome to test it out yourself in R7D2 cscout room.

ok now that i'm awake i probably should've mentioned for my scout double kill i was client across the entire country (california and nova scotia), last night i didn't even think of that. sadly the guy i did that with doesn't really have much time to hang out anymore and doesn't seem to play gtfo anymore so i probably can't get a chance to replicate it

Nevermind I'm right after all, used an autoclicker to make absolutely sure because cps might not line up with rpm and behold (ignore the extra shots fired)

It's host without bots and with autoclicker because that removes the timing requirement. Firerate is roughly 0.45 seconds per shot and I don't trust myself to click at the right time

2.2 CPS is easy to get, the problem is timing so that you click right when the gun can be fired again. It's not reliable without an autoclicker, but it's definitely doable if you've got the right cps or just lucky with your timing

Since there is a read hit maker its either them jumping too far into the scout before it actually hits, shifting them to "infront" of the scout orientation wise when they hit.
or
due to the late timing of the hit (and them dropping again before it actually hits) its just a back/shoulder hit

especially since knife starts out from the bottom right (or left if as a 2nd hit in a row) and not dead center

what dumbass cat said would also work due to the knife hitting angle coming from bottom right.
its probably a mix off all 3 tbh. Start the hit earlier and it should kill here

Back in R6 I tried knife for some times and I do remember I have the same experience when stabbing a scout. It could be just somehow the host registered the player touching scout first before the stab, or it could because of not enough back multiplier. Note that back multiplier consider elevation angle as well so although in the video the player seems exactly at the scout's back, since the player jumped and extremely close, it could lead to high enough elevation angle so not enough back multiplier.

I took three Sniper Sentries and a bio tracker. Choke mod shotgun to stagger snatchers. Try your best to conserve resources before the first checkpoint. The constant alarm ends as soon as you collect enough GLP canisters. Lay your sentries outside the ramp to those areas and only go two rooms deep max or the sentries won't cover you. I slotted an MCFC into both generators at the most shallow point, pushed back through to the hub area, and went one room deep into the other area.

In the large room at the end stand as close to the door leading to the exit zones as possible during the bioscan. Place your sentries close and pick up two of them when you proceed. If you're lucky you can pick up some trip mine equipment items in other zones. Don't rush through the last few zones because bots will get confused and die if you move too fast. Use sniper sentries to cover your escape, drop one in an open room and the last one in the extraction area. Be very careful using Choke Mod on Snatchers in the extraction room, it generally takes two shots to stagger them but they often travel in a column so you can accidentally spend 3 shells on the one in front of the other.

But you also right that, the bot tend to be around player and well, they path finding near a ladder.

Depends a lot on level tbh. Supply efficiency breaks some level balance where ammo and tool are carefully tuned. You can uber buff sniper sentry. You can upgrade DMR and HEL Revo into Main slot Revo. You can stack bioscan speed on the team to trivialize some encounters (room scans, class T, etc.). You can stack melee damage to one-shot tankier enemies.

Most broken combination altogether would probably be either 99% infection resistance or a supply efficiency aggressive booster, a bold sentry CPU speed, and a muted Main damage booster with no conditions.

At 99% detox your infect level goes up so slow it's basically null, so you are immune to infection.

So don't waste your other booster slots if you have a 99% aggressive detox; you can equip another booster besides detox in muted + bold

The mapper looks really cool but I think it's functionally just not that useful since:
-you already have Bio (and you don't really want to drop any other tool for just.. an alt. Bio that can't tag)
-tiles repeat a lot so it's really not useful that much if you're familiar with them
-you can usually just.. open the door and shine a light in quickly to immediately grasp the room anyway

Even just one of the above kinda explains why they scrapped it IMHO.

the biotracker actually has an internal option to enable or disable the mapper particles
as for the tentacle thingy there's remnants of it but the pouncer is effectively the updated version of it
