The simplest and most boring explanation is that he just lost his mind. It's a shame to do that to such a cool character.
The hatred for Warden just came about because he blocked all the people in the complex, and forced them to die. Then when he became part of the operatives, he lost his group. He was angry at Warden because he used the human resources as if they were some kind of expendable. The goal of defeating Warden is clear. But where the hatred for humans came from is a mystery
