it is on based terminal setup
Maybe if you provide a path (also hidden), you start Doom in the Terminal
In any case, I doubt it is lore-related
yeah just firgured frostty might have info to crack the easter egg
she would be the one to know this style of gtfo things
Like if I set a terminal to have a spinningwaitdone output of say, opening a door, it will always be visible if you type "commands". As to weather the devs can bypass this somehow to make a hidden command... I'm not sure
I'm kinda interested to know what this easer egg is, though
you can from code it be a hidden command just type start on any terminal
yup i guess the hunt begins!
Where is the terminal in question
any terminal
Is something special about it?
Everywhere, apparently
you can type start in it
Just any generic terminal?
seems like it
I... have no idea then
there might be two peices in my mind
Which probably helps reinforce the idea that it is not lore-related
Otherwise, such command would have been placed in a specific one
the terminal and the place for the easter egg
I was thinking I could track down that specific terminal and look in the levellayout but if it's every terminal then it's certainly hidden far deeper.
I'd have to find the code that makes terminals work
i could dump the mono code but if i remeber correctly it isnt in the r6 mono
When it comes to the ARG logs I was only really able to help with the one that cracked destination's coordinates, and that is because I already had used Base64 in the past to encode things. These kinda hunts are way beyond my brain power
makes sense
In fact, there is still that audio log that is unsolved I got pinned in here a couple months ago
cool fact the start command is on the training terminal
which is crazy cause it is restricted terminal commands
Is this new or how long has this been around?
no idea we found out about it because a new gtfo streamer couldnt firgure out about reactor start up
they typed just Start reactor and it gave us it wasnt a vaild file
So it's asking for a "Start __"?
start something
If it's one word, you technically cooooould brute force it if you have enough time on your hands
Break down words in the English language by commonality then run through the list
i can force it through with a scipt that logs through every possible combo
idk how long it would take
Obviously skipping stuff like
Start Start
Start a
Start I
Start the
Start what
Start jam
If it can accept multiple words than that'd take infinitely longer to crack
We've brute forced a terminal password like that
_ove i think it was
Or something
Would it be fair to describe over-canonizing game mechanics to be the main flaw of the story?
It'd be easier for this game to show a narrative if they didn't decide to make levels entirely out of prefabs with randomly generated aspects.
I guess it depends on if the story was completely planned out already, and the game is just being fit into that plan, vs. if the gameplay is taken as direction for the writing room.
But part of the flaw is just refusing to thoroughly explain the story, and instead making it a puzzle
I think I hard disagree on that.
Part of this is just my preference to RPG style games where you go to A-B through a campaign rather than a level, but having to search for a story isn't always a good method for storytelling.
Gtfo simply is pure gameplay with lore on the side. Post r6 with a shift to a much larger story focus, it doesn't work
I think when the story was more of a puzzle, it had much more of an appeal.
That isn't to say that revealing information was the problem, either. The problem is that the story itself has problems that are becoming more apparent the more we know about it. A more compelling narrative would most certainly feel more rewarding.
It does introduces new problems, but it's not inherently bad... Just not desirable.
The story focus in R6 wasn't the problem, though. The way the story was presented was bad, but after that has been rectified the narrative itself is still flawed.
They didn't had to make enemies disappearing canon. That just denies us the autopsy report and deeper look into nature of sleepers.
Multiverse shenanigans is... Whatever.
Other than that they didn't really touch any other mechanics. They havent even attempted to explain infection, spitters, shadows, fliers...
Yeah, I guess the story is somewhat on its own.
I guess I'm thinking back to D0c saying that the Warden statistics are canon, and conflating my impression that this was a forced plot device vs. in actuality he was making a reference to what the plan was all along.
Still, I wonder what that original sketching looked like. Were they really not influenced by a desire to connect the hardcore nature of the game to a story about a literally near-impossible collection of tasks?
The story is flawed because multiverse mechanics always are. They are insane. No one has the time to actually think them through.
That's on top of just... Clichés like big corporation bad and everyone sucks at their job and is an asshole.
What happened to noble scientists opening pandora's box out of curiosity.
R8 has a chance to clarify some things, so we're currently stuck in limbo of not knowing the actual state of the plot line and unable to make the final verdict.
But from experience of other franchises - the chances are not great. It always becomes too convoluted and nonsensical in the end.
The flaw is the puzzle might be missing half the pieces and you also don't have the cover of the box to look at
Blind assembly of pieces that might fit together until you get given a new piece that contradicts it
Honestly my original theory (way back when) of "prisoners working for a maintanance AI in a doomed world, because it doesn't know what else to do" is far more potent, because it opens existential crisis of being the last people on earth, performing pointless tasks like Sisyphus pushing his boulder.
That would have been too artistic or something of the devs to do
All kinds of conflicts and debates could be made around that, but alas.
The funniest part is that the side plots of the game are far more interesting
My favorite side plot is how the hell the virus and parasite works with the hsu
I am relatively convinced that HSU kills the virus and MAYBE the parasite before a certain point
The spiraling of Mr Truth.
The Daylight expedition.
Schaeffer and Art trying to be best bros around an asshole overseer.
The patient zero - whoever the fuck that was and why did they do what they did.
The Durant expedition and their closure.
We still don't even know what's the deal with Project Insight. A project so bad it made Dauda - the immoral scientist he is - to forsake and curse humanity.
Idk maybe r8 can wrap up things
Would be cool if r8 showed the project insight in some way
They fucking have to. They owe it to us.
Well now you've done it.
Chekhov's Gun is a writing principle for a reason.
We definitely won't be seeing it now that you've said this.
I like to think of the Warden statistics as in "each run represents the team of 4 characters in a dimension. Each time we fail, this dimension is doomed, but there is always this ideal dimension where we just keep on winning." Chad theory remains canon, perhaps ?
I mean... Yeah. Out of a billion membranes he will eventually find one where our lads always win.
However the question remains: do they win through raw skill or because of the premonitions they get through membrane leaking?
Not to say I agree with the whole idea, but I find it appealing, in the current state of our knowledge
Alt Woods was acting like he's seen it all already.
There are indeed some logs that seem to indicate a sort of knowledge transfer between KSOs, that cannot be explained
We are the best version of ourselves prisoners stay winning
Too many plotholes, but well, we will see how it all turns out Soon™
BORN TO STEALTH
WARDEN IS A FUCK
Kill Em All 2055
I am KSO man
410,757,864,530 DEAD SLEEPERS
I can't wait for the revelation where it turns out we, the player, were the wardens all along
Mr Truth getting confused by alt memories is probably one of the biggest mindfucks right now.
I don't see how that's a bad thing, though. That is what makes the progressively more complete puzzle appealing.
You could argue that it can lead to people latching on to headcanon too strongly, but I don't think that has ever been a significant problem in the lore community. The narrative isn't unappealing because we had a better alternative we thought we saw right around the corner, the narrative is unappealing because it is unappealing as a narrative.
It's bad because it makes speculating extremely speculative, and impossible to confirm anything that isn't explicitly said and even then it's sometimes contradictory
I like my puzzle lore to have at least something of a solid base and many pieces that are interesting.
Like the souls games
Like, okay... I can accept that people in the complex suffer membrane fuckery just through proximity to the inner and everything related. But Mr Truth is not even near. What is his deal? Is he the only one, or the entire population of the planet was exposed?
I like the item description lore
Item description lore mega based.
One of the Garganta laser explosion beams bounced off a satellite and nailed him in the forehead
It also helps that they explain things that already happened and thus just provide context, they don't actually progress or affect the story.
Sleepers should have had usbs on them that you got when you stealthed them
And each USB gave you data lol
That would have been so goofy
That is literally the story. It's not really in the realm of speculation anymore, there is an interconnected multiverse that we interact with, most directly in the alt timeline, and we are the most successful version of our quad (and most successful quad in general) in the local stretch of multiverse (which is presumably some kind of infinite fractal-esque structure).
Did you see this fractal
But that's good? No room to speculate makes for dead discussion. Knowing everything upfront is not necessarily good or interesting, and many narratives in fiction reveal information gradually exactly to engage the reader.
That's not the good kind of discussions, imho.
A discussions about a story should never be "how could this be good or make sense?", it should be "it's great because of this, this, this, this and how it all intertwines and works together" or something like that.
The former is just coonsoomer discussions demanding a sequel that will finally explain things and fix the problems. Which is, unfortunately, very much what we are experiencing right now.
We don't even have characters here. Our lads are basically Gordon Freeman with extra steps. No agenda besides survival.
Schaeffer, Warden and Collectors are actors... But I couldn't tell you one interesting thing about Schaeffer's character.
...
Actually there is one. His bromance with Art. You know... The one that he successfully forgot because of HSU, not to mention that Art is very likely dead.
The fact that most significant characters in the game have suffered from severe memory loss does not help with their development, I agree :(
That and devs' refusal to use the goddamn random dialogue.
Important plot elements are left unknown. Speculation is good but if there isn't enough concrete anything then too much guessing goes on
Anyone remembers left 4 dead? How characters would comment on things and even have banter in the process? Best we have is banter when someone takes fall damage.
There are a lot of concrete baseline elements, in both the OG Rundowns and Alt:// ones
We know how we got here, and why
The way you're framing this doesn't match what I'm talking about or how the lore has been presented in practice, imo.
You are not describing problems with the gradually provided puzzle, you're describing ways in which the game's narrative is flawed, contrived, or bad.
We still don't have confirmation on why our squad hasn't died of nam v
We kinda do.
I have said before it's the HSU killing the virus and have been met with "no it can't" and "yes" and "it might but we don't know"
We have no evidence of the HSU being unable to neutralize Nam-V for a time. I know proving a negative is not great, but there is that.
As far as we know, each time we enter our pod, we get healed (for now)
I'm pretty sure there's a single log saying something about HSUs and viruses
And what is the problem with that? What about the narrative is currently incomprehensible?
Virus development time to kill you is 3 weeks, at least.
We spend most of the time in the HSU which basically stops the progress.
Average mission completion time is like 1 hour.
There are 70 missions.
Even rounded up we still only have 100 hours of up time and virus progress, out of... 24 x 20... 500 hours required to finally give us in.
Maybe.
How come Schaeffer says we can survive with the warden
How did Schaeffer last so long
That isn't a true plothole, though. Nothing really needs to be elaborated on here, if everything were explained up-front this would still be a "problem," and then it's still really not one, people are just wanting too much information.
He spent the last 7 years in a HSU
Then he got out and walked around the complex
Actually yeah... The fact that they could've been infected prior throws all the wrenches into my calculations. Ouchies.
Another hole for the pile!
We are KSOs
Chances are we were walking around at some point during the Nam-V first spreading debacle
Even then Schaefer not dying after breaking out of warden control is one thing
Yeah, we want explanation because information we already have does not add up, it's that simple.
It kills you in a month. No immunity. No cure. So what the fuck?
Hsu 100% got something to do with it, that's the only thing we can say for certain.
I therefore propose again that
-HSU kills the virus, it's just everywhere so when you get out you have it again instantly.
-Schaeffer survives by periodically going in and out of the HSU, bypasses memory by writing down important stuff
-the parasite dies in the HSU, probably as long as it is below a size. Even if it doesn't, wouldn't matter so long as you didn't get it, or warden could do surgery and remove it.
And there are a lot of red herring logs that say contradicting things too.
One log says "nothing survives hydrostasis unless we want it to".
Another says: "send me the list of pathogens. It might be incomplete" in response to KSOs having weird behavior that they can't explain otherwise.
HSU killing the virus doesn't contradict the lack of cure. HSU technology is relatively secret and it doesn't cure it, just kills it. A cure would have to treat it like other vaccinations for things.
If there is no cure, then how tf does the HSU kill the virus?
That’s not how viruses work though…
This actually supports it. This means the list of pathogens is expandable, and any mutations of namv could get added
Look man I'm trying to be logical and scientific but you can't be when we use a vibrating cube to transmigrate to a desert
I Do My Best
There are bread crumbs everywhere, but the discussion is dead because we have next to nothing to work with.
Either HSU kills the virus or it does not. Which one is it?
If it doesn't - how are we still alive?
If it does... Well, that closes this particular question and there's no discussions to be had past that.
Vaccinations are not equal to cures. Vaccinations are preemptive measures to NOT getting a specific disease. A cure removes a bacteria/virus from within a mainstream body
Ok replace vaccine with whatever word is a cure
So that just doesn’t add up
Super antibiotics idk
Adds up better than it not
I mean...
The hsu kills viruses though
Why do you think ICUs exists?
The HSU is a fictional invention
And in the story is limited to Kovacs security
It is not widely available or even used
If anything HSUs are essentially ICUs for our KSOs
And it's existence is honestly borderline illegal
They keep them relatively stable
Allowing them to live longer
But killing is a stretch
There is a log stating the HSU kills anything that isn't the user
Okay, let’s go along with that
There is another log mentioning weird KSO behavior, and potentially needing to update the kill list or whatever on HSUs
And we know that they aren’t widespread
"nothing survives hsu unless we want it to" is the quote.
Then why is the theory that we may be able to survive such a shot down theory?
The warden though can actively do such a thing
I don't shoot it down
They can manipulate the liquid to contain vitamins or whatever to make sure specified flora survives the stasis and can be restarted after.
Not you, but a lot of people
"The only method we have found of killing the virus is by stopping the biological functions of the host through hydrostasis (or death). Fortunately, the parasites have not yet found a way into the HSUs. However, after hydrostasis reinfection is possible. We continue to improve our sterilization and prophylaxis methods, but
we are fighting a losing battle. I see no future for us if we do not seek the
origin of these lifeforms and find an immune genome. If we are to survive NAM-V, we must turn to the nature that created it. Evolution has had millions of years
to fight the virus. We have months."
People are doom braining it idk
Like bacteria in your guts.
HSUs can be dragged, albeit with a lot of force
So it does kill it
The log is very clear.
Then that would mean the only reason why we aren’t bringing it is because of inconvenience
To me this just screams similarity to ICUs
Dude
Exactly!
So cryogenics
You are Dead
Similarly
Then you become Alive again
So what's the deal with KSO handlers trying to figure out the decease that keeps messing with their heads?
That’s not killing the virus…
Is that a red herring? Something else completely?
Brain damage from repeat freezing and unfreezing
Wouldn't be weird
This could be a side effect of having a chip literally implanted in your brain
Or a strain of the virus they haven't put on the kill list
This here
They weren't considering that possibility and from the way they speak it can't be the case to begin with.
"send me a list of pathogens. it might be incomplete"
Let me get the counter-log
Mutagens
Alternative point to the story sometimes being bad, some "holes" in the story are just people not reading or failing to process existing logs.
Having the complete picture or not doesn't really affect that.
Idk HSU killing virus is pretty real
Didn’t the log just prove that HSUs are more similar to cryogenics?
.
HSUs are basically a future advanced cryogenic machine that can bring you alive again
Stopping
It says
Stopping
You die
It revives you after
And it says it kills anything they don't want alive in there
That is cryogenics, lol.
Anyone here knows what a BAT result is?
Unless I'm wrong
Stopping the host
Cryogenics freezes you to slow biological functions
The host being some person, in this case, an operative
Not stopping them
No
You are wrong
Today, modern day, cryogenics, people are dead within the machines
Their bloodstream is pumped full of sugar and they are dead
No heartbeat
All the machine is doing is preserving the body
That’s exactly what HSUs sound like it’s doing
Except with an addition: bringing you back to life
Therefore it does, unless they're lying, which at that point you might as well assume it's all lies
Nothing survives unless we want it to
As in it kills everything it doesn't explicitly allow to survive
That could also be up to interpretation
It does say it kills the virus, tho.
Reread this entire conversation from the start please
“Nothing survives” could just be killing the operative and just everything along with them
The logs imply that the virus cannot survive without a seemingly alive host. Be it the parasite, or us.
"the only method we have found of killing the virus" is saying that hydrostasis kills it.
If you kill the host you do have a chance to kill the virus within as well
So that can be interpreted to be “killing everything within”
The HSU process is similar enough to cryogenics; you are, for all intents and purposes, dead inside.
The pathogen log doesn't necessarily suggest that the thing they are sequencing the DNA of is alive, either.
HSUs have to have something else in them
Because if we are to say that HSUs are advanced cryogenic machines, viruses can still technically survive within a host
Even in cryo
The virus just has to be sustained/mutated to bear extreme temps
But I doubt that’s how HSUs operate
Some of virus might survive in a dead host, but as far as we know this is one (maybe the only) weakness of NAM-V. It needs a living host to survive and multiply.
Works for me :D
I have more serious questions about other plotholes
The "HSU kills NAM-V" is good enough in my book
**Angela,
I don't see how pathogens could be influencing the BAT results to be honest. The assessments are carried out after at least 5 days in HS recovery, and very few organisms will survive suspended animation for more than a few days without a finely tuned external subsistence strategy to keep them alive. When we introduce positive bacteriophages we have to stimulate them constantly or they won't survive even a few hours in HS. This is without considering the counter-agents and neutralizers we use in the amniotic plasma.
Any behavioural issues you are seeing are psychological, not biological. Nothing survives HS unless we want it to.**
**"Very few".
There are things you don't know that you don't know. I need a complete list of all pathogens you have exposed to hydrostasis. I have a suspicion your list is not complete.
Angela.**
I'm trying to find logs that talked about this prior, but so far nothing matches the topic of these 2.
WTF is a BAT result?
This log could be interpreted as "NAM-V survives longer in a dead host than expected ; 5 days will not be long enough to kill it when it should kill everything"
It is an extremely resilient organism, after all
I’d assume the test subjects are being evaluated
It would make sense for it to be a Basic Ability Test, as they are being tested and watched for behavior issues
Anything that would be remotely linked to behavior would immediately be picked up in those tests
After all, you don’t need emotions to do specific tasks, right?
Like walking
hydrostasis also kills you. thats your "cure". while in hydrostasis, you are 99.99% dead
So:
A) It is nam-v, which contradicts log that Rayalot posted.
B) Its a red herring and Angela is wrong. It is, in fact, not a pathogen but something else... Like membrane fuckery.
it doesnt just remove it from your system... its like saying a boiling pot is curing a live crab of any bad diseases it may have carried. everything is dying equally
@silver ibex you give the devs too much credit
They are probably not biologists or virologists
and the bigger problem with nam-v and hydrostasis is moreso the mutations that it leaves
since those are permanent
Nah the mutations are resolved
Ye I know lol, I pulled shit from my classes
You deal with the mutations because the warden is an excellent surgeon
That’s why I think some things don’t add up
Like I throw some sci-fi shit in there it’s all good for me
Uh
The stasis working is the sci fi
The part where you come back to life is the sci fi
But I could say that if HSUs are anything remotely like cryo then there is a possibility that a virus survives
It’s just possible
It's possible from the standpoint of reality and stuff
gtfo is already far beyond anything realistic. @rocky wraith can talk about unit 23 in r7d1 for example and how its growth to adulthood in seconds is physically impossible
Yea
But we are gaming
mlem
Thats why I said I threw in some sci-fi shit and called it a day
We are gaming and not doing biology or complex medical science
Save the realistic virology for GTFI
If anything the closest thing to that is Captain America
(get the fuck in, the hit game prequel where you play as an underpaid and overworked Garganta scientist trying to cure Nam-V)
HSU's are far from cryogenic unfortunately
Matter wave projector to super age them
So simple
Vibrate them thousands of times faster
recursive growth patterns with high intake amino-importers and you could do it scifi theoretically
i mean to be fair some of the people in this channel are IRL specialists, like beanz
Like I said
like everything in this game
that's why i called him in
I threw in sci-fi shit and called it a day
Be me got my molecular bio degree and now applying to the RAF
clearly not smort
the thing with RISE is that's a KOVAC effort, not Insight. they wouldn't be using the alien tech with it.
Not necessarily a contradiction. If it is killing the vast majority of individual NAM-V viruses, then it is still killing the virus, it just reinfects right after. This would also explain how we survive, as the virus needs to remultiply every time we leave a long period of hydrostasis.
I thought we went over this log ages back and already concluded that this log was from before they discovered the NAM-V virus and parasite stuff. Because NAM-V is destroyed by the HSU's however any damage caused is non-reversible
He directly says they do the BAT test at least after 5 days which kill everything else. So something is still affecting the KSOs after the long sleep.
So calcified brain parts aren't able to regenerate and so psychological symptoms remain
It's from before the ALT
like OG rundowns
A-ha.
The log is indeed present in the original R6. It just didn't had Angela's response.
yems
Hm. No dates on either.
Could also be that they are chasing the red herring of the virus, when in reality they are seeing the recursion of memories in Operatives under high stress. Which causes them to redevelop mental tics and fragments of personality after being exposed to high stress situations
That would be a fair enough explanation for now.
Which was mentioned in another log
AND we have to account for the memories being shared across membranes which are psychologically influencing our operatives
If it is a Basic Ability Test - surely that wouldn't affect anything? At least if it truly is "basic".
Some re-surging trauma wouldn't affect your ability to lift weights, surely.
Then again, they don't specify shit. Internet couldn't even tell me what BAT means.
Which again just kills the entire conversation. Can't come to a conclusion = nothing to discuss.
R8 can't come soon enough.
The definitions on the internet don’t really apply to this
Don’t think blood alcohol really is useful
Or the technician
Lol
They could have modified the Basic Ability Test
If it's anything like the CBAT I took recently, (Computer Based Aptitude Test) then it would also be taking into account coordination, problem-solving, short-term memory, reflex, etc. all of which can be affected by psychological changes
Would make more sense if it was an aptitude test
The BAT test for immune responses may also make sense, as they would detect heightened levels of Basophils and IgA markers indicative of a recent parasitic infection, possibly the parasite in game
Which may relate to possibly the Parasite being killed in their system from the HSU, however your antibodies and heightened system would show on the BAT
even 5 days later
so if it is the classic Basophil Activation Test, then it may make sense in the time frame that the scientists are aware of the Virus, but NOT of the Parasite.
And we do have a log saying that parasites haven't found their way into HSUs... Yet.
I'm still massively behind on ALT R6 logs and stuff but I hope I was helpful
and this is where shit gets fucky. yeah we have an expert looking into these logs for information, but the devs themselves aren't experts. what are the chances they are just winging it with termonology and stumble into stuff that sounds like its accurate?
Maybe get a dev to dive into lore and come out with what they planned/expected vs what it is now

I mean, we'll try to interpret in the best faith possible, but so far they have been excellent on the bio side for most of it
hahahahahhahaha, they'd never do that
they dont talk about the lore ever, not even in QAs
believe me, i've tried

I think they learned their lesson after that whole debacle. They know you are up to mischief >:)
which debacle?
can't remember exaclty, but I remember a dev responding to something once and it caused a small uproar with the lore peeps lol
this one?
"well i will never answer things in a chat like this that you could find answers for in the game itself, i can talk about the process of developing the game and the process of writing the stuff, but questions about the logics of the story itself you have to play the game and look for answers and clues, but i mean yeah that was a little bit of a flex of that first like, "i know this stuff and i know about the timeline and i'm trying to put you on the spot here and point out that there is a logical fallacy"
Oh, that's 100% what's happening.
It happens with every sci-fi film, book, anything.
Writers just... Skip the problematic parts. They just say that it works, not how it works and its the watcher's duty to not dig too deep because they will reliably find some dirty cotton.
"holy shit... that is a great idea... lets take that and pretend it was ours all along:
is one of the more common i've seen, though it isnt always a bad thing
Like Dragons for example
They are basically the golden industry standard for that kind of stuff
I can't remember
They do not need to explain how they breath fire, they just do.
after Goblin Slayer basically every movie and video game franchise now uses that for their goblin lore, instead of trickster forest sprites
Inb4 some biologist comes in and says that no biological material can withstand that temperature or something.
magic of course!!!!
plenty can lol
i mean, look at the difference between LOTR orcs and conventional orc lore
only other that comes close in uniqueness is 40k plant orcs
What was that one dragon based horror movie...
It was a post apocalypse modern day film where actual dragons were the calamity that brought human civilization down
I think they had some funky explanation for fire breathing, but can't remember
usually it's something along the lines of flammable stomach acids and neck-pouch(Crop) rocks that grind and make sparks
has anyone else noticed the interrupted communications are different than how they were originally
Is there a lore reason why dauda is black
Why doesn't warden kill Scheaffer? Is he stupid?
?
I thought that there was a log saying that NAM-V is killed by hydrostasis.
also hydrostasis is not cryogenic. its a made-up system, so no telling what "hydrostasis" exactly is or does. all we have been told is that it creates memory loss, and has the potential so kill basically anything, including NAM-V, which we have been told it kills from a log.
is it said anywhere in a log that being in hydrostasis kills you? to my understanding, it only creates memory loss.
that last part makes me want to see the log where it says hydrostasis kills NAM-V. Is the bottom part a new log? I dont remember that paragraph. Makes me think that they are alluding to the fact that NAM-V can survive hydrostasis.
actually, the log im talking about never explicitly says that hydrostasis kills NAM-V. Just says that "nothing survives hydrostasis unless we want it to"
I never said it was, I just said it was most similar to
it is. (but so are you technically speaking)
rayalot posted a snippet of the log earlier

The breakthrough that Kovac Research hopes will answer these questions is called Hydrostasis - a process that allows humans to be held in a state of suspended animation for weeks, months, even years at a time without suffering any ill-effects. The nuts and bolts of the process are a closely guarded secret, but sources speculate that the procedure likely uses a synthetic amniotic fluid to sustain and protect the body while it is in an induced comatose state. In this state, the body is - for all intents and purposes - dead, but no cell deterioration or physical decay occurs. For the human in Hydrostasis, the heart, and time, stops.

ah ok
Artifacts r just candy with worms inside them. Like the suckers that have scorpions in them
This is now canon
real
I mean it is
I know. the person that you were replying to did. I was adding onto what you said
alright alright
honestly theres still too much questions about everything
are we at least sure the warden wants to actually help us?
or is he just playing with us?
they do certainly have a whole hell of a lot to explain
thats my idea too.
goofy ass is probably stuck in the fucking sand world
why are there chargers and gaints compared to regular sleepers? are they mutated or do they have some other virus in them?
Probably mutation of the virus/parasite
that causes them to take the role of like guardians or smth for the hive
i guess that makes some sense
Well we know the warden is something from the collectors ship right? In which case it would make sense that the warden would most likely want to do something about the sleepers, but since we aren’t collectors it probably doesn’t view us as relevant to it, hence why its willing to throw us into situations that should probably kill us till we succeed
We might be the “expendable” units it can use to solve its problems
It spoke to Schaeffer though saying it wants to help us or something
It could be one additional way to motivate us to perform what it wants. But to be fair this might be the only chance we have to save whatever is left of the Human race so...
Honestly might be more of a “the enemy of my enemy is my friend type of thing”
It wants to get rid of the sleepers, we want to get rid of the sleepers
We aren't getting rid of them though?
Everyone's a sleeper or infected besides us and the other KSOs in the HSUs
The whole plan isn't to kill them all, or wait out the disease cause we cant
It'd probably be to escape the timeline with the matter wave projector
- That might not be the case
- Getting rid of the sleepers is not solving any of the problems
Sleepers are a phenomena exclusive to the facility due to presence of the parasite.
The NAM-V virus is the primary enemy here, and it already won - the outside world is 99% dead save for very far away and very secluded communities, and even then its only a question of time before namv finds its way there too - be it by wind, by animals, even by flora maybe even.
sleepers are on the surface in ALT
Localized to america, at worst. Still its only the 2nd largest problem
Fish sleepers? Or what about migrating bird sleepers...
You know albatrosses can lock their wings and sleep while flying over insane distances
The parasite has a number of ways it could leave the americas
To be fair we don't know how the virus interacts with animals, but its safe to assume that probably the exact same way it does with humans. Being agressive only to humanoids or even just primates would be... Way too specific.
yeah, i'm leaning heavily off of the destination species here
but if it can jump from something as alien as that, to us, it'd be far, far easier for it to jump from us to other earth species
Ngl where is the sleeper bear final boss
different subspecies of the parasite + differences in the infected host's genetic material and physical makeup.
Here are several of the named subspecies in the genus; Gallus Reptus, Gallus Jaculus, Gallus Capreolatus, Gallus Horridus.
more details on the individual differences can be found in the ALT//r3 log "7GY-HYP-SDW"
Ahhhhh ok
so is there a video thats canon-lore explained and revealed? so much vids and idk which one is real n true
The truth is that we do not know for sure yet.
By the end of Rundown 8 (hopefully) we will have all the elements at our disposal to try and piece this all together
wait wait wait
ur telling me
there will be more RUNDOWNS?!
isnt the final damn boss the big giant ditto?
That's... Not what I said.
Profesor scaler made a decent one recently
but also R8 is said to be the last planned rundown to release
u lying cheeki breeki u just said at the end of R8, but theres only R7
hopefully they buff the guns or make it easier goddamn
or nerf the fogs at least idk something, ANYTHING
not at all the kraken just kinda exists
sorry to say but the game is pretty well balanced
its not the final boss?
ur shitting me
First of all itd not even in an E tier
E tier? as in what
second of all it has no lore behind it
like literally its just a giant infected alien fauna
u mean ditto
its in a D1, not even D4
ditto as in d1ld0
no one calls him that
point still stands
pablo is just a super old tank
also in terms of timeline R7 is really far back
so ur telling me, there is no lore till this day, just theories and thats all
ditto isnt the final boss because he/she/it is in D tier whatever that means
whats S tier then
What the fuck do you mean
which rundown is E and D
NONE
there is R1 to R7
RUNDOWNS HAVE A TIER MISSIONS
ALL THE WAY TO E TIER
So you have R2A1…etc…R2E1
thats what i mean its in E tier
so when tf does ditto spawn
an E tier level
starting which R
WHICH FUCKIN DITTO
pablo is only in R7E1
you dont make sense
immortal is called pablo?
YES
why not just call him immortal
ALWAYS HAS BEEN
Cause its spoilers?
it spoils its entire mechanic
from who please im willing to bet my left nipple im the newest player here
You are not
do you see how many new people show up in the discord
fix thy eyes
Then just answer the initial question and move on
No point getting pissed over that
i would love to if they said who are they talking about
yeah no need to be like pablo here
cause i still dont know
im talking about ditto
Then just wait until he gives a better question rather than going suicidal 🤣
the final boss
…there is no final boss
Also it's likely he's trolling you
sppits out millions of projectiles and tentacles apparently
Considering how circular this is
god
he is the final boss tho
its not
its in D1 which isnt the last level of R6
ok NOW ur just lying
has no lore in it
the what now?
pablo is just annoying
wtf is pmom
several big chargers will be harder than kraken
Mother on steroids.
yeah now i know for sure ur lying
new monster?
artek back me up
Hm?
theres only 2 mothers no?
Kraken difficulty?
or birther
It does not matter anyway. There is no need for a single enemy to be a "Boss". The hardest challenge is faced in the hardest expeditions.
Much unfortunately, yeah.
You just hide in the corner with a roof somewhere and he can't touch you.
wdym
The Kraken from R6D1 was singular, and out of place. I found it a cool gimmick, but that was it
The fliers he spawns deal 90% of the damage by chipping away at you while you're not looking.
since he cant anwser me can u do it? which R and tier does the d1ld0 spawn
Technically his artilery strikes deal a lot of damage, but they're so disgustingly easy to avoid
oh so R6D1
…
I have no idea what you are talking about.
I know
Ditto
i hope so
D1ld0
kraken=ditto
At this point he can't make it anymore obvious
If he isnt trolling i will be amazed by his ability to be annoying af
so ur telling me a giant ass worm who spits out billions of projectiles and hundreds of one eyed flying tentacle that also shoots projectiles at u and has billions of hp is easier to deal with than tank?
Yes
isnt shotgun (few shots at the back) easily kills it?
Bruh
D1ld0
How obvious does he have to make it
🤣
Not a few first of all but frankly a badly placed tank will be harder than kraken
R4E1 final room for instance
badly placed? meaning?
||pmom next to tank||
oh u meant as the position hes in
Shows up at a bad time, all of sudden etc
vulnerable spots at the wall
huh
ok
if u find tanks (killable) annoying how come u dont find pablo annoying?
i said pablo is annoying
i hate him
with every cell of my body
whats the strategy dealing with him then?
Wth pablo?
apparently some ppl claims they killed it idk why its called immortal
someone loops him
like dbd?
it takes several hours to kill it
Several hours of dodging attacks and meleeing it
no way he has that many hp unless all 4 has auto pistol or some pish gun
Kinda one person leads him away and walks him in circles
isnt he more grey-ish than tank?
oh so its like deebeedee
he has a lot of resistance and a lot of health
check his wiki page i think it has it listed
he is a tank with more grey and no bubbles on back
i remember reading it all like 2 weeks ago but not good enough infos
yeah i remember hes more greyish
But overall answering your question as to what is the final boss of GTFO - its just the expeditions as a whole, you could say its R4E1 or R5E1 as a whole but its just that. An entire mission as a whole could be considered the final boss of the game
doesnt make sense but ok
It makes total sense once you have played throughout all the Rundowns and Expeditions.
Maybe R8 will have something
maybe
but even then i dont expect a singular big enemy
Rather something like a super hard alarm
oof dont get me started on that
R2D2
absolute cancerous
finally managed to beat R2D1 tho
so thats something
btw recommend me a gun for wave clear? special and main
it is for me
hel revo/carbine and machinegun
lots of hybrids spawn at the alarm so one must have sniper right?
which ones that main and special
oh hel revolver i see
i like the semi shotgun, useful for run n shoot the annoying ones but very short ammo like wow
what is even this convo and why is it on lore
it was lore before
Not sure why we jumped to strats
still having trouble at r2d2
Feel free to ask for help / advice under #gtfo-related-questions
And going back to "final boss" talk - Kraken so far fits the most just by sheer girth of him and how long it takes to take him down, but he's just not well designed. The R6D1 arena you fight him at provides too much cover and fliers are not much of a threat.
They need to do him again, but this time with less cover and more threats, maybe an occasional giant walking in and providing pressure and forcing you out of cover only to get hit by artillery strikes.
Honestly the flyers are the main threat in the kraken fight, if you arent careful you can just get swarmed by 20 of them
but yeah i think the fight needs some ground enemies like strikers maybe even chargers
it would defo add a lot of tention especially if there was less cover
They needed to remove the side balcony
also i would love to see the kraken projectiles explode in a small area on impact
If one guy hides there - kraken focuses on him (due to proximity?) and the damn thing just eats all his attacks, its like a bunker
They just needed to remove either the whole balcony or the roof of it, but that's too much work
They need to make it cooler
The boss is too unlit to be as cool
Also the attacks are all just spitter missiles
We will probably see more of them in r8. We saw several in r6c1 after all but only killed one
Also holy shit the off-topic in the chat this morning is insane
I think it just needs more mechanics. Right now it functions a fair bit like C'thun from Ahn'qiraj.
Add a second phase beyond popping pimples and it should be good
can we not talk about this in #gtfo-lore?
Rude. Unlike this morning's 'going in circles', my comment is directly related to the topic at hand
It's not as if some deeply important lore discussion is going on, simply talk about squidward. And I'd love to say more, but I can't because r8 isn't out yet.
well i find it rude that #gtfo-lore didnt contain any lore related discussing this morning and that is not a good justification to go off topic
I agree however I didn't start the conversation nor am I replying to the person that did.
I'm not sure why you'd @ to complain to me about it
you literally did reply... Anyways im not here to argue with you but please for future reference keep to the topic or i might need to call mod mail
I replied to;
Artek, the topic of which is seeing more encounters with the boss (which is absolutely lore related)
Crab, talking about the boss' functions, but I literally cannot say more because I know too much (rule 11). I don't think they have more changes planned to it, but with what I know, it is absolutely a possibility.
Please stop arguing with me
Then stop commenting? I'm simply replying to your statements. This is a public channel and you are equally as free to talk as I am.
Do you think I'd just NOT reply when you bring up reporting to mod mail?
Huh i see im not the only one going in circles here today
Hm? What do you mean
Ive been on this discord longer than you to know that its not free to talk about anything in this channel, apparently they made a whole another chat for other theories due to someone complaining so dont act like you know what youre talking about.
Like i said im just here to let you know that we should keep to the topic without this getting out of hand and getting mod mail involved.
that argument seems to be goiny in circles
U people needa chill
(he's trolling)
so did mine
Clown readings off the charts tonight
How many reactors are in the base
A lot
There seems to be at least 1 per rundown... Or actually 2.
Literally just out in the open
So that's about 14 already
They are just sitting in the open though
we do see a couple returning designes
What's up with that
1)you aren't a moderator.
2)seniority my ass. I've been playing gtfo since OGR1 and was on the discord at that time.
3)and that chat got instantly removed because of memers abusing it.
Ur caring too much about some random person
Talk about lore
That's just normal, unfortunately
Oh absolutely.
I think level architecture kinda doesnt make sense lore wise
I agree with you
Then talk lore
That's fair
Levels be built like a labyrinth
Not only it doesn't make sense, but we can pretty much just go "its a game mechanic" and just decanonise facility structure.
Imagine the struggle of trying to go from your dorm to your work area
Another thing though is our suits
No toilets, no kitches, zones are connected in the silliest of ways... Its just not real.
Some of the masks leave parts of the head exposed
Isn't that counterproductive for protection
”at the crossway turn right, hug the left wall to avoid toxic fog and turn left in 100 meters”
Staircases into walls etc
Probably is
but its probably also just a game mechanic again
Man what the hel
Hybrid electro thermal gas gun
Yeah there is a lot of „game mechanic” bs in the game
It's an irl thing too iirc
I swear to fucking god if they'll attempt to canonise facility layout in R8 with some silly log complaining about bad architecture
speaking of which is there an irl HEL gun?
oh lol
I don't know enough to say, I've only briefly been to the Wikipedia article
Slightly different I think
Significantly smaller
the amount of reasons to throw the 10c writers off the tallest building in sweden might grow
Over here
Pic on the wiki is like a cannon, isn't it?
thats big
Here too
yeah its like straight up cannon sized
There's the ones that use a rupture disk thing and ones that use just a gas propellant
I'm pretty sure we use the combustion ones in game
Combustion light-gas gun
Well, to be fair its from the 2050s so quite some time has passed (2060s gameplay)
Not a HEL gun per se, but there is a light gas gun. It isn't a weapon, it's basically a system that uses light and gas to propulse a projectile at such a high speed that it overpenetrates certain materials. It's basically a bullet that goes insanely fast which causes the overpen
The hybrid one seems like it requires a rupture disk to help build pressure before it breaks and releases it
So HEL should be renamed to CLG
Yee
Abso-fucking-loutley. Though, not much of a difference it'd make. The parasites can break through SCBA III hazmat suits which is about as full body protection as you can get
They aren't. Their eggs are like tennis ball sized
Since I think theres a lot mentioning how they don't know how the parasites keep getting in
Maybe the eggs have a bunch in them instead of just one?
Idk we never even see parasites
Each body/corpse has hundreds of eggs too
It is truly odd
Unless you count the worms in the artifacts, yeah
But we don't know if those are parasites or not. Completely unexplained
We DO know they attack potential hosts in swarms, though.
Truly a gtfo lore moment
There's SOMETHING going on and doing things but we never actually are given a good explanation
Question is -- is it a swarm of locusts or halo infection forms
I should mention we did disprove infection and infection fog being nam-v a while ago because of the 💉
They are glassy, hard, and show nothing on thermals.
I have a picture somewhere, but I'm not on my PC atm.
I am sure the thermals are not logically accurate
Idk... they weirdly light up for scene decal like machines, even some plants
I consider them a gameplay feature only because if thermals were "accurate" then sleepers giving off heat would break the laws of physics
Able to remain in hibernation forever, but emit large amounts of heat at all times
We don't really know why or how they can live for eternity, but if we have dimensions where time and space work fundamentally differently, I think the law of conservation of matter being different relative only for them isn't too much of a stretch
Then the complex should be incredibly warm
Several years of the sleepers constantly outputting body temp level heat
I get what your point is but I'm sure thermals are more of a gameplay feature than a lore accurate one
The complex is also incredibly big and the overwhelming majority of it is sealed log a clogged chimney with security doors and collapsed segments.
Most of the sleepers are still over 4k meters down in the inner
It being sealed only makes it stranger for rooms to not trap heat
But I'm just assuming the thermals don't work on the eggs cause they were forgotten/mistake
What about the holes from the blast that go all the way up from the inner? Could vent some
True, but most rooms are sealed behind multiple doors
Security doors especially
(Oh probably. It's very likely we are overthinking this)
Yea
Idk thermals being 100% accurate in lore would be too wild for me
I can get behind alien parasite disease
Real
I mean think about it
If they produce heat and then emit it for the thermals to catch
They are quite literally infinitely producing energy
Sleepers are the true final form of green energy
And I think, another thing that's a bitch is that we know they still do use resources, calories, and stuff because they are confirmed to not be zombies. The hosts are still alive
Most chambers would be c02 death traps
Even the gardens aren't recycling that much of the air
And also because of that and the nonfunctional ventilation systems... how are they breathing?
Off topic not really but kinda
I just got this ad
They are genuinely watching me what the hell
Like yeah they don't die from age but a bullet kills them just fine... but how are they keeping the host bodies alive?
Yea the sleepers being able to sleep forever thing breaks so much
It would make sense if sleepers didn't work on thermals
And would be better if we didn't have thermals but had night vision instead
Zombies would be unironically simpler as they wouldn't need most of that
Yea
I feel like zombies subtracts a bit from the vibe of the game though
Since it's sort of like weird sci-fi somewhatish realistic
Oh yeah 100%. Get taken or infected, live forever in agony as a parasite mutates, contorts and puppets your body
But the generic zombie that just kinda ignores physics is diff
But yea
Logically speaking and in terms of lore
The eggs prob didn't register on thermal cause they forgot
Zombies isn't assss nightmare-fuelish since the suffering would end once they got you
My personal guess is the eggs work like spider egg sacs and release swarms of parasites
And they don't eat their way in, but are able to squeeze through gaps too easily
(Unless you are talking some Return of The Living Dead style zombies where they are still conscious and intelligent)
Literally though why GTFO setting is cool
You know, it's surprising there isn't a sleeper variant using the host's voice to try and trick us
I also think this explains why we the players don't have a parasite
That'd be cool but gameplay wise they probably realized it'd be too obvious
I mean yeah but we are talking lore here
Because the HSU can kill it like it was bacteria or something
Like a left for dead witch
Maybe the parasite has to live in the throat area
Like no choice it eats your vocal cords
Yeah
We need parasite info
Ten chambres why can't you give us concrete info please im begging you
The church does have symbiotic variants that let you talk, but this is waaaaaaay off topic now. Gtfo parasites not Barotrauma ones
We do have some info from alt//r3 I'm not sure if you read it, I posted yesterday, about several of the recorded subspecies
But in terms of like what it looks like or how it works we aren't sure
who the hell is loutley
absolutely
No info about parasites whatsoever then?
Hey, can someone explain where do we go after MWP issue in r6ax? I thought we teleport to some distant alien planet in prev r6 levels, but here we could see basic facility doors and sleepers as well
It's the same planet. The implication is that the expedition that got stranded there got stranded for so long - they managed to build an infrastructure out of sheer boredom (and supplies they sent prior).
But who knows, Inb4 some game changing R8 reveal.
the same planet as in the same alien distant planet
Its important to note how they were able to do this. Time flows 85x slower on destination, so relative to earth, they has been there for almost four hundred years
We have some, just not a lot.
Wait wtf
So that's why it takes so long for warden to take us out?
And what does it mean?
400 hundred years on earth is a 50 on destination?
I dont get it
yeah smth along these lines
Backwards.
Other way. For example, during the ef01 mission, bishop left earth for ~2 weeks iirc, but he was on destination for years
When he returned, only those two or so weeks had passed, but he had aged and experienced those full years.
In ~1-2 years at the facility - the lost expedition spent like half a century on the planet, which kinda explains where they got the time to build infrastructure.
The multiverse is funky. I can't explain it much better than that
Except we don't know how big the expedition was...
So it means
We also don't know if they sent more after ef01
If we are on destination for 5 minutes when we take data cores, matter wave etc
They do have a lot of alpha outposts there though
We are doing a mission. We jump. We are gone for 5 minutes. Warden is waiting for DAYS for us to come back. We come back in the case of r7e1
It's a bit fucky and confusing
Damn whaaat
Writers trying be consistent challenge (impossible)
But you said 2 years on dest is 2 weeks on earth
Or maybe in the case of e1 we just instantly jump there and back from the wardens perspective?
We know it's 85x1 for a fact from a stokes log. I'm just trying to understand it and put it in a picture myself
Assuming this then though, raises questions about the immortal(s?) In that level. The one from the first jump wouldn't have time to wander off by the time we jump back but it does
Game mechanics be gaming
there's a chance it got pulled with us. Doesn't an immortal attack while the group is in alpha?
Immortal probably found his own matter wave then did a class 4 alarm and plugged it in
Immortal used infinite ammo choke mod to do the class 4
Immortal had to listen to schaeffer and hendrikson and is in on the plan
Wtf my immortal didn't do any of that shit
Ill need to get a new tank_boss one of these days
i love how lore chat always goes from serious lore conversation to casual shitposting
its amazing
there is so much room for guessing that it is inevitable
genuinely a possibility that the immortal regained sense of self and helped schaeffer accomplish tasks
how? the fabled third syringe containing a failed attempt at a cure!
it really shouldn't tbh. There was a massive ban wave recently because of this.
we keep it serious enough
most of the shitpost is interspersed jokes within real discussion
That is what happens when people are effectively deprived of lore though. This channel serves no real function after a week of fresh rundown release since that is how much it takes to uncover new logs and extract relevant information from them.
After that it's just running in circles of discussing things we already know with new people.
Idk I try to be creative
But I see your point
There isn't really much to discuss after a period of time solely because we discussed everything new that was concrete
And then it's just guesses we have but those are either unprovable, already known, or outright disproven but only sort of because of inconsistencies
thats the point of making an interesting story though, people talk about it past what is provided, joke about it and make new branching content/concepts. Not allowing that is just shooting yourself in the foot and cripping your community imo.
i think the ban wave was more cause of like
constant shitpost preventing people having actual discussion
than the interspersed meme statemennt
The ban wave was specifically aimed at the monke clan, who for all intents and purposes were malicious and their entire existence was to just annoy lore enthusiasts in general and Frosty specifically.
this is the problem
apart from explaining the lore to newcommers (which isn't that necessary cause of the txt) the only other use for this channel is just
"So X event really happened huh.
"
"Yeah. Crazy.
"
Or 2 lore enthusiasts debating something
It is what it is
i still feel like there is no non-dev human that can grasp the entirety of the lore
everyone does the fucky wucky and makes mistakes about the lore
Hell, half of the speculations are useless because we don't have enough info and R8 is around the corner
that too
we'll get answers anyway
some people already have them
this channel has image perms and no cooldown so it's the unofficial meme channel
you just need to be careful
and connect them to the conversation
like even frosty didn't know about syringes being connected to infection which confirms namv isn't infection
and cho didn't know about the tunnels 4000m deep
even though they're 2 of the most lore savvy people ever
there is too much lore
but not enough actual answers
btw does anyone know if there is anything behind that one door in Alpha 3 in AX? The one in a cave
i dont remember... i know i checked at one point, they are mostly Unity orange walls/floors
this is unironically probably the memey-ist? thing i've made.
and i'm honestly quite proud of how it turned out.
Presumably a research outpost filled with scientists and maybe some KSOs considering the amount of sleepers that come out
It's what I think would make sense
Lore-wise anyway
I mean thats what would be there if it was to make sense
i wonder what did the devs actually put there
I dreamt that i was solo holding r1c1
How did it go? Sounds kinda like something that'd happen to woods
Premonition of solo holding a reactor before he drops in to the mission alone
i was basically just the doom slayer
also my hel revo for some reason two shot sleepers on the chest and i was going nuts with it
thats... an oddly specific dream
guess GTFO irl edition has launched sooner than expected
i dream about the most random shit imaginable, i haven't even opened the game in weeks
i remember also getting nasty collaterals with the hel rifle
like 2-3 with each shot minimum
it felt pretty good ngl
Having actual ALT memories from other universes in real life
I was once lying in bed trying to sleep
But I kept hearing the fog propeller sound
I'm pretty sure I was also sick and had a fever and was having auditory hallucinations
Welcome to state of truth fm
State of Truth is my favorite GTFO log type tbh, hope we get more logs from them in R8
Pretty sure alt state of truth guy is living alone in the middle of nowhere
Had to kill his wife who was with him cuz she got infected
honestly I could see him still being alive
Isolationist guy in the middle of nowhere
we don't actually know for a fact she was. Its equally possible Mr. Truth himself was infected -- Mental disturbances is one of the first major symptoms of NAM-V infection
not to mention the bleeding memories from different worldlines, it's quite possible he mistook her for an impostor
Aren't the bleeding memories just from warden merging og worldline with alts?
given they only appear in alt// to my knowledge, it's probable that they were caused by the merging of our original worldline and that of alt//'s, but like many things, we cannot say for certain.
If that were the case then I don't think he would think she's an imposter as the parasite didn't get out in og worldline
We do know Truth also experienced them, along with a majority of Santonean staff.
right, i'm not saying that. I'm simply saying as per the symptoms of nam-v, and the mixed memories, he himself could have gone mad and killed her.
mr truth probably simply went insane
paranoia was the killer
he said they replaced her with an exact replica of her
which doesn't happen
symptoms progress as follows:
Starting with minor flu-like symptoms, progressing to:
**HAEMOPTYSIS, MUSCULAR SPASMS, FROTHING AT THE MOUTH, VIOLENT BEHAVIOUR, EXTREME LETHARGY OR DROWSINESS, DEPRESSION AND VOMITING **, then progressing to:
**Whitening of the skin, Inflammation of the cheeks, neck lips and extremities (fingers, toes), Spinal pain or shocks, Susceptibility to bruising or broken bones, Accelerated breathing/panting, Blood in the sputum **,and then finally killing the host.
