probably looking at a 3080ti or a 3090
Har har
GTFO is a weirdly optimized game
It's good for some
It's ass for a handful
6800xt's are about$200-$300 off
pretty
What
Besides some cable work, and a back ordered 140mm fan
Shes done
Rtx 3090, 12900k, 64gb of 5600 mhz ddr5
two months in the making
Jesus Christ
lmao
"Pussy fire"
nvm that
ok wait
what am I waiting on?
try deleting the thumbnail cache
pretty sure windows already has a utility for that
its basically what the article says
"disk cleanup" or something
I think there is an option in there too
👍
That computer ready for minecraft
im broke
whatt
people need help in different ways

i can give prayers but thats it good luck tho
ur gonna need to hire a bot to get those drops for msrp
if you work as a discord mod on the nvidiaGFN discord server for a year then you get a free rtx3090ti
WHAT? FR?
Yo is this real?
I'm in need of a new pair of headphones for gaming as well as just listening to music on my phone (android) so preferably something that can do Bluetooth or even just use a cable. So far I've narrowed it down to the corsair hs80 and the Asus rog delta s. I'm still looking and combing through the options but would love some feedback on if anyone had these and has opinions on them? Or anyone else with a great pair. Budget isn't too much of an issue bit I'm not really wanting to spend close to $400 for a pair. My current ones are turtle beach elite pro 2 with the super amp
aye I had those ones before (the TBEP 2)
I would recommend the akg k371
really good ngl
the cloud alpha can also be a great and cheaper choice if you are willing to EQ them
What do you guys use for your 2ndary/library drives? I have an old 5TB WD Black which I'm thinking about changing out. Does anyone recommend slower high-capacity SSDs or RAIDed HDDs? I'm looking at 4TB WD SSD or a couple 8TB WD Black HDDs.
@abstract kite I have 3 m.2 nvme ssd I use my first for Windows and launchers etc the second is where I put most of my games and my third is there for when I fill my second drive.
unfortunately I only have SATA ports left
i just put windows on my ssd and games on my m.2 nvme
you barley notice a difference between those 2 on windows anyway
you won't really notice a difference unless you move video files around a lot or something like that
not even with an HDD as long as it is properly optimized
Try to change your device. Are you using laptop or computer? Do you have both?
If so then try to play Roblox at both devices and see which has a difference.
If you spot a difference of one of those devices then it would seem the problem with the CPU.
Or at least check the specs for one of those devices.
That would be helpful
@abstract kite either the 2.5 ssd or get a pcie nvme card and another nvme ssd stick and put your current and the new one in that share their speeds and storage it would still work out cheaper than that 2.5 ssd.
@dry hollow Games load faster with a nvme I'm always waiting for my friend who uses 2.5 sata in pretty much every game we play. They will write the game significantly faster too as well as verify files and as mentioned read it a lot faster. Nvme are superior in every single way, go put your games on a firecuda 530 and tell me you don't notice the difference when you're reading 6.5-7+ Gbps or writing 6gb while downloading, sata maxs out at 600mb my Internet is actually faster than that. That whole unnoticeable thing is losing its meaning more and more once the pcie 5 ssds are out sata ssd will seem primitive like HDD does now. They are just not worth the money over 2.5 if you don't have £150+ to throw at a 1tb stick. Nvme is only going to get faster and faster non volatile is the future and will be a fixture and a must have in gaming soon, its pretty much there now and within 5-10 years games will be relying on it.
I'm sure a sata SSD is fine
Unless you mean an HDD
For games, SATA and NVME ssds offer really not much of a difference
I've rarely seen game load times differ much from sata vs nvme. load times aren't just dictated by what drive they are using but also their internet connection or if they have a pegged cpu. in an identical system you won't notice a difference between sata and nvme. Linus Tech Tips did a blind test and came to the conclusion you cannot tell the difference in game load times unless its timed. The only outlires I can possibly think of would be gtav or rust.
I mean, load times are virtually not a concern
and modern games are shit anyways, even if they advertise to use direct storage and shit
bad optimization is bad optimization
I've also seen my load times on siege differ wildly on the same drive just due to an unstable overclock on the gpu. my point is load times aren't just dictated by what drive you're using
yeah, learned occt wasn't very good at stress testing gpu's
furmark or heaven bechmark are usually pretty solid
i've been wanting to experiment with open benchmark stuff, but setup is...complicated
should i buy a new monitor
depends
You could get a cheap 1080p 144hz if you don't care too much about nice looking images and want a nice, smooth gameplay, assuming you don't already have one
Although color will change a lot, as tech improved
I do recommend you get some freesync/gsync one doe
Just get a freesync
ye
All PCs will work with freesync
Gsync stuff tends to be more expensive for stupid reasons
gsync is overpriced :troll:
i think ill get a new monitor when i move out of here
Can someone hook me up with some good videos/websites to learn each parts quality and limits and all that
Like what each parts of a PC does?
Some basic stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExxFxD4OSZ0

A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES:
1: At the end I said cooling is not required. I went off script here, I meant to say "additional cooling". Any fans your CPU or case comes with are most certainly required.
2: A GPU is technically a component within the Graphics card (CPU is to Computer as GPU is to Graphi...
man sometimes roblox can be a demanding game and honestly surprises me some crap wont even run right on my phone on roblox
Is it the fpsunlocker?
yeah
idk i dont use a fps unlocker
Ok
it might be part of the problem tho maybe
Ill experiment with it later after we finish d1
if roblox is trying to take as much as it can
Need a bit of help here.
The mouse I been using has a problem where, sometimes when I click, mainly clicking and holding, it acts like I've clicked twice, or on occasion, three times. It's really been bothering in my gameplay and Discord especially.
I do not know if I can take the mouse apart, but even if I could, I'm not able to, since I share the computer with my family.
Anyone got some advice?
Check your stuff?
You're gonna have to elaborate.
I wish i could help but cant
a lot of mouses(?), mice(?), whatever the plural is, have a double click issue after awhile, you can either clean up under the clickers, be careful you could break it that way, or you could take it apart and try to see if something is broken, you could change where u click, or click lighter or deeper depending on what works, last but not least, you could repalce it
replace*
I'm not sure how to clean under the mouse.
cleaning under the clicker is very hard, and normally i would advise against it, but if ur desperate enough give it shot, Q tips might work, dont use compressed air bc i did once and it tore the clicker straight off, granted it was a cheaper product, but still
im sure one does
buy a 80% then
100% was too big for me
I would always bump my hand and mouse in the keyboard
Just look at what each type of keyboard has
also numpad is useless
Not necessarily
Depends on what you play
But just see each type, and think whether you'll ever need them
i use them for rhythm games
like?
I got myself a ducky one 2 mini, and I kind of wish I had some stuff bigger keyboards had that would be a nice thing to have sometimes
mania
Though not really too important
i use A S K L
and I have no problems
but everyone has their own preferences
so yeah....
i use zx,. but i like numpad more
I mean, you could get a dedicated numpad thing
no
NO
at least get a gaming version lol
one for mania one for gta
yes gta
should i buy this 600 bucks gaming chair
yes
Ok
typing numbers is way faster on a numpad
good for hotkey combos too
nice for some alt codes as well
e. x. ALT + 0128 = € don't have to look for the symbol via google or whatever
0153 for soon™ i also use often
kinda odd seeing occasional recent game not recognize numpad keys when rebinding controls
dev oversight since they don't use full keyboards probably

Using @e should just insta mute you
I wonder why scammers use @e when it's literally required to be disabled on community servers...
Maybe they just target every server of a hacked account?
Ithink
They join a lot of public servers too
Mods wake up pls :(
Shoveling snow
Yr
Guess we just need australian mods then
Thanks my guy i appreciate that
I can't get a q-tip under it
They're too big for the space between the mouse.
I did try getting a napkin in there but to no effect.
Can you send me a pic of ur mouse
Not sure if this specific one can be disassembled.
Running
nah that looks cruesader ngl
I think T. Rex used that mouse before
Is that a left hand mouse?
man that mouse just needs to be replaced that looks like an ancient relic
Ye
You should be arrested for stealing The Queens mouse
Is that the fricking G9
That probably needs to be replaced ngl
It's THAT old-?
Yikes.
It's not my PC so don't blame me for how outdated it is.
Over a decade
Welp.
Mans got the Logitech grug

If you need a link to a new mouse, I can help you find one
Tf you trying to accomplish calling mods
fortnite cards
Like cards of fortnite characters, or content creators, bc either or isn’t needed
Can't get a new one.
I just want the clicking problem to stol
well only way thats gonna happen is cleaning it which doesn't seem like it will be easy or buy a new one
Not too sure where to ask this, but my friend got GTFO but their PC keeps crashing even though they're on the lowest settings, is there anything else they can do?
likely in #gtfo-technical-support
maybe cant run?
i doubt it
Gr
Is that on a Ryzen system?
Gigabyte- sells graphics card with a warranty void if removed sticker
Also gigabyte- ship thermal paste with the graphics card
I'm getting some mixed messages here
?
Seems to be their ID to looking for group
I thought it was a tracking number they accidentally sent or something
im still waiting for a code to have 69420 in it
Don't know if this is the right chat
but do we know what kind of optimizations GTFO have used
with this I mean stuff like Level of detail
batching, don't draw what the player can't see
minimal
we can see detail pop, there is minimal render culling
there is quite a bit of unbaked lighting because of gameplay reasons
and enemies are still rendered behind doors and walls
so, there's quite a bit of nonsense
@hazy pumice
and we're roughly limited to about 30 enemies
and the game starts to roughly break down around 50-70 enemies.
each sleeper generally has its own independent pathing
to call the game unoptimized in general, would be an accurate statement.
ideally not a bad thing, just dont host missions on a steamdeck or anything like that.

hmm unfortinate
I have to this for a school assignment
but it seems there is little
my monitor so old omg
olds
1992
mine is 2
zad
your monitor is older than me
ZAMN
Same
Huh
Did English and maths hit you across the face
Ah yes much better understanding now that you explained it that way
my monitor broke
Oof lol
some asshole or idk cat knocked it over
dang that sucks
yeah
Lol
Oh god help
How do i turn off gpu scaling without my monitor on
I was testing stuff in amd i accidentally clicked it
I restarted my pc and there's no way im fixing this back
For nvidia control panel
On your desktop, right-click and select NVIDIA Control Panel from the menu that pops up. When the NVIDIA Control Panel opens, click on Adjust desktop size and position underneath the display tab on the left-hand menu
For AMD, idk, look for it
If you could turn on the monitor maybe
Just go to display and change your display resolution there
GPU scaling forces a resolution to fit on a different resolution and aspect ratio
And for the moment, he's stuck to having no display so
So maybe check your cables lol
I dunno if clicking on things can unplug cables
If that doesn't work his monitor might be fucked
Ay listen anything can happen in todays age
I remember when I was a wee lad like ye, I was a fucking idiot
So I was angry in team fortress 2 and I hit my mouse in anger
Blue screen appears
Just something I remembered anyway
Apparently I was told that breaking my mouse couldn't cause a blue screen
But somehow it did lmao
2077 lol
I CANT IDK WHERE TO CLICK
Go windows button
settings
click system
It'll already be showing display tab
Now idk what else
Aside from the nvidia control panel thing or whatever AMD is
Cant you just reset your graphics with a few easy button presses on your key board
I think its Control + alt + R
I don't remember
Im disabling with my brothers display
Lol
I meant monitore
Still lol
idk honestly
I did think maybe you set the resolution so high it couldn't be displayed
Isn't there a way to just reset settings
Like something similar to a cmos reset but not for bios/cmos
Yes by resetting the graphics card with the wierd buttons on the keyboard
My 1992 monitor wont work anymore
The other one is for work stuff
Right you've completely fucked it lol
Yeah
If you up scaled it your gpu on a 1992 monitor i think you could've also fried iy
It*
Deep fried
Other one broke
Welp you've now broken 2 monitors what you gotta say for your self
Lol
l
Hj
how can you fucking blue screen a computer with a mouse lol
never seen that
It's easy
The computer freezes
And you just click stuff randomly
And then it crashes lol or bluedcree
Bluescreen
I disabled
bruh
But input signal out of rage is stuck
if you have RDP access of some sort, you can use that to try and troubleshoot settings
Like what Merv said, I think that's what happened
I honestly have no clue how it even happened
Lol
that doesn't even make any sense
anger = blue screen
It makes total sense
I got my res at the cost of my stretched res
May invest in a monitor with a wider color range soon. Right now I've got a 1080p 144hz sceptre
i bet it sells within a week
3K for that?
Hm.
I think that's probably a close enough price
Average price of that GPU, assuming it's an asus strix white 3080, which is 1800-2000$ from what I checked
CPU and cooler, ram, totals 700$
Case is def a fucking overpriced thing
So it's actually fairly priced following the usual market prices
it's no deal, just that in todays world, stuff like that slides
Even less than what he paid for too I believe
PSU would have to be about 150$, motherboard probably is also one of those ROG things so big money go brr again
I don't really like it when people go on those strict rog builds imo lol, I do think they look cool and nice, but to do a strictly rog build is quite a lot more money than what I could get for similar specs
It’s a good deal even at Msrp prices
Micro center sells that rig without a cpu ssd ram for 3k
give me sec I will check it out
It’s 144 refresh usually but overclocks to 165
ah damn the response time is also really low
Which
the monitor's
you just said the Asus 165 OC monitor
I was checking that out only
and the price is also decent
Ya there’s a few overclocked ones tho
I see
I think mine is a TUF
You could ball out and get that Gundam monitor haha
Idk the specs but it’s $$$&
what GPU you are using ?
it is a great one actually
3060 is not powerful tbh
but it is what it is
really can't deny the temptation of the 4090 now
For the time when the card came out was pretty impressive haha and I didn’t even know those existed
I heard of 4000
hmm
2k seems a bit overkill for the 3060 imo
well anything above 1440p isn't that great tbh
Wait u say play 1080 or the opposite lol
Or 2k dullahs lol
On gtfo I stay pretty locked around 120+ some dips here and there nothing crazy tho (2k)
Check out Gigabyte m27q
I have, got it about 320$
It's 1440p, IPS, 170Hz, 1ms whatever the fuck
Fairly good monitor for a good price
I have a 2070 Super and 3700X, runs alright
<@&408548765599793173>
5600xt
I overclocked my 570 and it runs at 86C now with fan rpm at 3.7k rpm with smooth 60 fps in GTFO on ultra texture quality, however it starting to over heat because i notice frame drops every time there is a huge amount of objects to render, and when I dont have it overclocked, it runs more consistently.
When I manually overclock the boost settings of it to 2.25k mhz and max the power limit etc, when I boot up any game and a few seconds into loading all my screens freeze for a minute and cant do anything, then the soft ware says there was an error and puts settings back to default.
why are you OC-ing a 570 to >2k....
it's not only about temperature, but stability
Tell me you don't know anything about clock tweaking without telling me you don't know anything about clock tweaking
loL
My buddy had a newer amd card and had overheating problems, exchanged for a rtx
I never even oc my gpu no need, I do oc my monitor tho
I, on the other side, undervolt my gpu
is that actually possible?
I've never managed to do that before lol
Yeah not much of a diff, 144 hz to 165 lmao
hmm
in all honesty that doesn't sound worth to me if you are unable to reach the framerate
screen judder is a bitch 😩
I lock in with v sync only for gtfo lol turn v sync off and FPS limiter on other games
But gtfo runs really good on my pc so it’s pretty much constant 165 fps
2k res
I don’t touch my gpu stuff lol I only loaded up precision once’s for rgbs 😂
I just want my fan to be constantly running high rpm
My gpu has 3 fans
I honestly recommend running your GPU undervolted instead of stock clocks
saves a bit of power and can reduce heat to funny extents
or overclocked if you want to go for it
My gpu hardly ever reaches 70 c unless I’m playing something modded with memory leaks 😂
lol
I play at 74.5
Pain but portable
portable my ass
Why would i want my gpu to be slowrt
Portable pain 🤔
I dont need to save power
Save life
I have like 300w left
undervolting doesn't make your gpu run slower
at worst it just makes it unstable
Or run that mfer to the ground haha it’s ur card
Run this fucjing game
overclock it 😎
Fuck that
brb imma overclock my eyebrows
I like it running at 37
Another person of culture
Undervolt is the way
Especially when I'm running small form factor and everything is mega tight tolerances
I'm managing to squeeze a small stable overclock out of my GPU while having it undervolted by a decent amount
Example of the limited space I'm working with here: "https://imgur.com/a/dogNrJb"
undervolting my gpu helps me reduce temps by like 10c when playing gtfo
I straight up would hit thermal limit without the undervolt at my current stable clock speed
Undervolt dropped me by 15c
These were the biggest pain to install though
Also the GPU wouldn't fit in the case. Had to dismantle the front portion of the case to slide the GPU in & then rebuild the frame
I would try a higher than -120 gpu undervolt, but that's the limit of the average min stock clocks
testing stability sucks ngl
but the pain is worth it
I'm down to .806v stable from it being at 1.0 - 1.1 unlimited
Slight gain in performance verified by benchmark cause of the now stable clock speed
But the speed
Will it run faster because its cooler or run slower because of the power limit
At worst it will be the same as stock
undervolt doesn't intend to limit power, but reduce the utilized for clocks in the stock curve
and as an unintended upside it can reduce the amount of heat throttle/power throttle which can help maintain a stable clock
still, not intended for maximizing performance
just optimizing it in some sense
Slightly faster. Cooler temps help maintain a stable higher clock speed
Different for everyone. Follow the process for overclocking with increased voltage, but in reverse
Or look up a guide
I'd start by setting a max clock speed that you achieve once your clock speed evens out (if it does)
Then dial back the voltage at that speed
Try starting at -0.1
Also monitor the core voltage to make sure your changes are actually applying. They sometimes don't like respecting voltage limits being set
Ez
I don't know the first thing about overclocking
tbh googling it would be the fastest way to learn abt overclocking
also don't forget testing real world stability
aka test with a game or benchmark program
undervolting is far more simple than overclocking imo
for CPU throttlestop can do the job (unless you have amd)
and for GPU...idk I guess afterburner or AMDs panel thing
now overvolting and underclocking is the real deal /s
on another topic, any of you nerds know of a decent QEMU frontend?
(for windows)
I was told oc the 5600x was not good
tbh idk
5600x cpu? It should be good
Offers better gaming performance than a 3700X iirc
Speaking of heat, I hit 75-77c consistently now lol
I believe it’s because there’s now an SSD directly under it after having to figure out where to place it after getting my hdd in
dont oc ryzen
use pbo or curve optimizer, i use both
locking ryzen chips to locked frequency kills it faster and worse performance overall
Nah it's GPU OC
I don't think they we're doing any CPU OC
Not really a reason to unless it's intel
gpu oc use msi afterburner, if evga card use percision x1
bum
Itsnt good for oc
Well no I thought you were just doing that for your GPU
I did say there wasn't a reason to unless it's intel
bruh my pc keeps crashing due to whea uncorrectable error
at least be a specific man I'm curious now SMH
Thanks I turned the brightness down on the ram lol
was it the r1 beeg flashlight before?
Could prob see more than
ah did you build that gundum pc for me how nice jk but it looks really nice i would try to build one but it would cost money that i already used to build a pc
now that's a real chonk
Haha yeah I just sold my old pc to help cover some of the cost didn’t really need to upgrade but huge Gundam nerd
yea i love it so far though its the samsung galaxy s22 ultra
Samsung phones have really cool hardware but all the bloat they have tends to really drive me away from them
I ironically ended up prefering xiaomi for that reason lol
they are still pretty good anyways
I love the way rog gpus look. I'm gonna try to get ahold of one as soon as I can
hmm
I personally only like the more cubic design of the FE cards
On another topic, I wonder which types of compression you could apply to games on the steam deck (arch)
would be an interesting thing to see how much you can squeeze space on it
honestly, i'd rather hotswap USB-c drives.
hotswap and compress
i would much rather just buy another microsd card
m sd cards are kinda expensive though.
Spent a while tweaking fan curves & voltages for everything last night & safe to say I'm happy with my idle now
Getting those idle temps from something this small, I'm very happy
Damn
I know I'll never ever get to have a build with this small of a case
What are the specs?
I haven't seen or don't remember
I thought it would initially be a fun project, was pulling my hair out by the end
5800x & 3080ti
lmao
It probably might be nice for me
Yeah I moved country early last year with a full tower PC & It's something I don't want to experience again
Can i run dark souls 3 🤔
Can you?
Wanna see how well the game will run with a 3070ti laptop
Just fine. If you get freezes or skips. Thats just the game. All from soft games do it
I've got a 3070 and I'm 3 playthroughs deep
K
I rate this a cursed/10
Is this a good pc to use?
Yes
maybe
What's the Processor generation
nvm I see it
With many gaming laptops having Thunderport 4 included its an amazing PC
Solid for 5ish years for gaming.
The MSI Aegis R pre-built PC is one of the worst systems we've ever looked at. It's impressive how MSI combined software and hardware incompetence to create this abomination.
Sponsor: Buy Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste on Amazon (https://geni.us/JMVNtOE) or Hydronaut paste for water cooling (Amazon - https://geni.us/Fsray)
Watch our pre-built ...
The more I watch it, the more I'm just disappointed now
wtf that's beyond a joke lmao
Yes
If I spent all that money just to be left with an exploded potato I'd be pissed lol
Yes
MSI moment
Is the NR200P a good choice?
Trying to find some cases, am just picking out some that could be good
I only have the concern about the airflow but that's about it haha
Nvm
can anyone recommend me some ddr3 1333mhz ram
What was it? I think I remember seeing that but forgot
Also any important notes for fans or is it just basic placing it down?
I guess the h2o is out of the question because it doesn't seem available
Right I can't seem to make sense of their fan specifications lmao
Though from image it seems I don't have to really worry, you pretty much just left in their fans
honestly, i dont like the airflow pattern of that image at all, if the cpu cooler is working as an intake.
i'd rather have the top fans be intake, and have the cpu cooler directly vent out the back.
if i had the top fans as exhaust, i'd probably want the front fans also as exhaust, but that wouldnt work very well because negative sp.
the gpu in that picture unfort does not even have a clear exhaust path in most configurations i can think of.
oh. thats very not poggers
Only access is top, back, bottom, and behind motherboard, assuming that is for whether a motherboard has m.2
Cause idk what else that'd have to be lmao
But it looks like it's not so bad
i'd probably stick an intake fan under the gpu in that case, so the airflow path includes the GPU
I doubt for mine, it'd work
can just buy slimmer fans
I'm sticking a 313mm card in that case if that'll happen, and case supports 330mm
I kinda wanna stick with the stock AMD cooler but eh
gross
fwiw, on salvage builds, i've even had fans on the OUTSIDE of the case.
Yeah that way isn't bad
Though it's just more convenient to just have a CPU cooler that could work as an intake
Outside fans for an sff would be eh
it definitely looked like an absolute mad science project.
Let me just have this insanely stupid priced fuck of a CPU cooler https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XzDJ7P/corsair-h100i-rgb-platinum-se-63-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-cw-9060042-ww
I'll probably just get a shadow rock 3 for it perhaps
Actually maybe not
I also just remembered that's a slightly taller cooler than the dark rock pro 4
what a silly cpu cooler.
Would have been nice though, it's supposedly similar to DRP4 in performance but priced about half of DRP4
Or at least considerably better than DRP4
my pc will be a hand me down and i dont even have to worry about the water pump going 6 years from now.
Uhhh
takes a long long time, but outside the operational lifespan, yeah.
the pump on the other hand.
Unless the aio got a bit of a beating that something might be done for
more likely to fail.
I will totally get this one https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Jf8H99/nofan-cpu-cooler-cr80eh
Indeed
What of the NH-U9S?
The font makes it unbearable to read sometimes lmfao
web design is my passion
I bet you use a fading background with bright red comic sans
I guess this nightmare is alright https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mtBf8r
my personal discord has that set of shades of color that are impossible to read on discord night mode.
/s
oh noooo
no the rgb is important
I nedd!
:))
I'm not sure if my current ram will fit in so
Probably will, to be fair
yeah it is
That's why I'll tape it

If not buying any, surely ripjaws v could fit
honestly, most of the time the RGB is implemented like shit, and the LEDs are absolute scorchers when you need to be next to it all day.
and its a pain to turn them off
because its a midrange item with low grade RGB implementation
so its either off or rainbow seizure.
im not like Char, i dont wear sunglasses inside.
Well if I could just get a solid black box for a pc case, I would just go for that
I just got a PC past post today since it's my first build any of y'all know any programs imma need? Got Nvidia GeForce experience steam and a program for my gigabyte Mobo so far? Anything to check my ssds or CPU?
to check your drives you can use crystaldiskinfo
for everything else hwinfo is a pretty solid choice
I personally never install nvidia stuff like it comes out of the box
I always use nvcleanstall to customize the driver and only install the minimum stuff (a.k.a. not installing geforce experience)
My personal essentials that are specifically gaming related are:
- RTSS
- CapFrameX
- ThrottleStop (for intel CPU only)
- Afterburner
- OBS
- BCUninstaller (as an uninstaller...duh!)
7zip, msi afterburner, notepad ++,
personally i prefer crystaldiskmark
i hated the fuck out of geforce experience as well.
spot the notepad++ user
what a waste.
:troll:
enjoy whatever nonsense text editor you use then, i dont judge.
the OBS + StreamFX combo is objectively better for recording
I use VSCodium lol
really overkill to only edit cfg files
honestly, i basically only vidya on linux at this point, so.
OBS and whatever default audio routing comes with ubuntu.
for media I would recommend mpv (or mpc-qt) and qView in general
I hate VLC with my soul and ass
i dont need any features like shadowplay or anything.
OBS has the replay buffer which is basically shadowplay
vlc is pretty good
but
yeah, mpv.
i just need something really poggers to replace irfanview
in linux.
ill add it to the pile.
found this earlier today
https://github.com/nvbn/thefuck
id rather not add fuel to the fire of shitposting in the m*d server.
im waiting for the form factor of the steam deck to get those weird guys who did all the graphics for the rubber sticker coatings of the nintendo DS to get them to make them for the steam deck.
because they would definitely make an amogus sticker pack.
why...
for the incalculable human suffering.

oh, this is also pretty useful for windows if you use the command line a lot
https://github.com/gerardog/gsudo
ah, i see people are still mass producing sticker packs for handhelds
i cant tell if i should feel old or younger
to add to the earlier list, my favourite software essentials are Ditto and ShareX
being able to search your clipboard from a day or two ago comes in handy more often than expected
and it's not exclusive to text, images too
it's there any water block for 3070 asus dual ?
Don't get geforce experience
You'll experience pain in every part of your body when it keeps fucking with your videogame settings every time you launch up geforce experience
only good part about geforce experience is easy to set up game recordings for people that deem OBS too complicated
besides that part I'd call it bloat
even with that it is bloat
It also gives pretty quick gpu driver updates but not really worth with them changing game settings every time
imo just use nvcleanstall
there are many scripts to fetch driver updates in any case
What about the drivers though
Haven't had any issues with game settings changing so long as I don't ask it to set them to recommended
to be honest you don't really need to update your drivers constantly
and yeah, manual installation is far from harder
30 frames smoother than 22 smh
Ay man people complain on cod for not having 240+ frames
But here we are and we ain't even complaining about only havin 30+ frames
Damn
I get 60fps when playing on 1080p but for some reason everytime theres a bunch of enemies coming towards me my frames just tank to 15fps
I feel like my sensitivity is slow
Ah i don't really mess with sens
I just play with my normal dpi i have setted my mouse to
I haven't touched the dpi stuff
Zamn
Idk what the glorious Model D's second dpi setting is but in use that
smoother than 22FPS?
I played payday 2 at 15fps and it was fun
DPI you should just keep it fairly low, just so for games you can aim well, but you're able to move the cursor at a comfortable amount
You just change the ingame sensitivity to however you like it
Yep
I barely got anything past 15fps except menu/loading lmao
technically low DPI has relatively less latency
Is the inside of the dongle look chipped/broken off or is this just normal?
The motherfucker broken to me
that looks like wireless wifi shit
Ye
idk i stopped using that bc slow
looks fine to me, as long as it doesnt rattle.
Tfw ur max temps reach 100c but average is 75c
its there any waterblock for the 3070?
my gpu heat about 90
thats not good to me
You probably have insufficient air flow
But yeah 90 is not good at all, way above the safe maximum
it is a open air case
i think the problem is the gpu
So it has like all the air in the world?
What model do you have?
Just rob a bank and you'll have enough money
sound good
Point some fans at it, and the backside.
Increase fan speed in afterburner
Epic
Except that's more of a loss than a gain
And even if you get back what you paid through mining, I doubt it'd be good enough
Found a water block for the card
https://www.bykski.us/products/bykski-full-coverage-gpu-water-block-and-backplate-for-asus-dual-rtx-3070-3060ti-n-as3070dual-x-v2
This full coverage block directly cools the video cards core (GPU), graphics memory (RAM), and the voltage regulator modules (VRM). By directly cooling these components you can achieve great temperatures along with the ability to reach higher overclocks or extend the overall lifespan of your card by running at below fa
seems v weird that the card is at 90c when it has plenty of airflow..
I guess the GPU needs a replacement?
Any of ye running a NAS, & if so what route would you recommend going?
I believe D0c is pretty knowledgeable about it
Thanks to MSI for sponsoring this video! Purchase an MSI Motherboard from Amazon at: https://geni.us/s3QsHs
This motherboard costs over $2000. Why does it cost that much? Is it genuinely GODLIKE? Anthony takes a look at MSI's most expensive consumer motherboard for the Z690 line, but you might want to take a look at something else.
Purchases m...
Apparently has its own test bench included
Includes a CPU cooler as well
do you think this is overpriced ?
tks
i hope this can solve my gpu temperature
It's dead on overpriced for me lol
And the 600$ motherboard they mention is more than enough
The 2000$ one is just for those OC people such as 3d mark leaderboards, or some shit I don't really know what anyone's gonna do with it
$2300 is the cost of my whole setup
it 100% should, just make sure to get the additional hardware for a full loop
More around 1500-1700$
keyboards so expensive smhsmh
I looked at the cost of my entire setup and got really depressed, spent $2400. It was spent over time but still
d
bruh your PC must slap
Does me good lil shoebox PC
I love your monitor, that looks so nice
Took some time getting used to but I never want to go back now
Thanks! Went ultrawide a couple years ago and it's amazing for productivity & games is also an upside
Just games supporting ultrawide. Seems far more immersive & I love it
Find it quite rough playing anything in 16:9 anymore
Ah oky
Yeah definitely, what’s the refresh rate on that monitor btw?
Mans probably got like 144hz
Yeah probably. I can’t play on anything less than that. There’s nothing worse than a low refresh rate. I hate using a TV to play games ‘cause the input delay is horrific.
nothing worse than elden ring at 59 hz ☠️
Brisih
Care to give me a boha wata
Boo woa mate
Even tho im not British i will not accept the fact that you just mixed an Australian slang with a British slang
boo woa sounds like a kind of snake
Lol
Gtx 660ti in a nutshell
That is in fact my gpu
as a Brit im horrified

He put in a pcpartpicker list, check it yourself smh smh
It’s 120Hz
Whoops my bad I was being stoopid
120hz, OC'd I'm getting 135hz out of it
Finding a 144hz 1440p ultrawide with low latency is painful & very expensive
Oh yeah I bet, I looked at the one you have and for what you get it's a very good price.
Yeah it does the job! People shit on Alienware but it's got the good Dell panel's so they can say what they want
lmao ik exactly what you mean, although different product; my cars an alfa romeo and everyone says the engineering sucks but it’s super sexy
Ok I'm building this PC and the bios is recognizing the nvme but the windows installation setup isn't can anyone help?
On Amazon you can get a 165 htz qhd MSI curved monitor for about 250 bucks it's what I just upgraded to
might need to install the driver
I already did
I think it's just a bum drive
What do u call one of those like cable holders for a mouse
So it doesn’t mess up your aim
idk
Nvm found it
I gotta run wired mouse cause otherwise it interferes with my dac & amp
how does a mouse even affect your audio lol
Ye nah that sounds a bit sus
also why run an amp
I always wondered if there is any real reason to use one other than becoming deaf
it do be a minuscule amount of trolling
Nfs heat pfp
SIN
I need it
My headphones have 300ohms impedance
It's the weird Logitech lightspeed mouse mat that wirelessly charges it that gives interference
Since it's just a massive coil for wireless charging
My headphones are very very quiet without an amp to drive them, can't hear shit if you plug them straight into a headphone jack
Ah that makes sense
hmm
eh fair enough
though imo that mat is a tad overrated
freaking batter from those mouse lasts pretty long
is it normal for your fps to drop in non-bot matches
because i run 70+ when its only bots but it gets dropped down to 30-40 during online matches
does internet connection/ping play a role in this scenario
graphical setting doesnt affect it too
it should only affect your gpu if your hosting any other issues can be down to internet and ram/cpu
because you was the host
of course you will have to use more power of the cpu
so cause low performance
hmm
R2D2 is great
I don’t think thats 100% how that works
can confirm my ,ain rig is all orange and yellow and its fast as hell and my aim is on point
cant confirm bc no colors 😦
2 gpu ??
No RGB gang
Can confirm purple means no crashes
Hmm
So I had this thought
What if Valve's Steam Deck is an experiment to see if they can make a small device powerful enough to make a standalone VR headset with it
something like that would remain behind closed doors imo
they have enough capital to prototype products, which they no doubt did for anything that reached regular consumers
it's about time for some VR breakthroughs, getting an Index feels like a very dated investment today, as cool as it is.
Quest 2 is nice, but with its flaws too.
With the amount of money Facebook is pouring into all in one entry level VR headsets I’m not sure they want to fight on that front
Valve's core base is people with VR ready, or at least quest level spec PCs. Unless they think they can pull more margin on allowing people to go untethered, most will probably prefer the better framerate and visual fidelity
They've always peddled the premium side of the market so that might be where they intend to rest
If they put out steam deck 2 and index 2 i will buy both
I hope my 5950x and 6900XT can handle GTFO on low settings
He's gotta be meming, there's no way you buy those parts and unironically ask that question
He clearly is
No he’s genuinely asking bc he bought amd instead of rtx/geforce 😂
Doesn’t want to run at 90 cel
Perfec ttemperature smh
My gpu is usually 40 cel
I think normal 3080s are like 800-1k around here. Since mines themed it cost more for stupid collector reasons 🙄 although I only play on 2k so I don’t notice much difference from my old 2070 super ftw3 ultra
If i wanted to buy an rtx 3060 right now where i live i would only pay 900aud for it
Yep
My GPU hits a great 82c~ average, warms my room up in the cold winter :)
2 in 1 comes with space heater haha
I really don't have a clue what's going on with it
My old card usually stayed around 70
Was like that for me as well
Gaming
Then in not too long, it increased to 75, 77, now 81
I do have to clean it but it really doesn't seem like the dirt is really the problem lol
My buddy had a idk what kind but some sort of amd and it was overheating so he traded it for 3070 I think
He also plays new world 😅
Could have replaced the thermal thing
Oh boy
bad game1!
As far as I know, those GPUs continue to be fucked over by that game
It was still warranties so he just traded in
But also I haven't heard anything about it in a while because idc about the game lmao
That’s hot. What gpu?
