i7 4790k 1080 150fps~
the game isnt that big and hardware killer tho
There are people telling here that GTFO runs like 60FPS or whatever or even 15FPS still on a 3090
So idk
This game is on crack
And the settings from experience are shit useless
Yeap i meant gtfo
Hmm okay ty for inf
yeah
not 15fps tho
I have a 3090 asus rogstrix and a ryzen 9 5950x and at best I have 100fps
and that's at best
if there are no enemies etc
I remember someone saying that but idk what it was exactly lol
The game is so weird as fuck honestly
not weird just trash optimisation
Yeah the optimization sure
Although resolution exist
But I still can't quite tell most times
I also have a 5120x1440 resolution
240hz
but on rust I have over 100 fps
and that game is more demanding
How much over?
We'll be doing optimizations as well
Soon™️
although if anyone else is as much of a lunatic as i am
if you're playing on linux
and you havent configured gamemode, i reccomend doing so.
easily brought me up 15 or so fps.
So I've been having issues with playing. I load into a lobby and ready up then when they start the game everyone else goes and I'm stuck in the lobby. I've got double NAT though so that could be an issue
Also the door to zone 78B in A1 has an issue where for some players it will be stuck closed and be unable to be interacted with. Had it happen last night playing solo.
Another day where my pc has crashed due to the side panel falling off then somehow fucking crashing the pc
I wish I had a new case
So I can get it to bios but no windows boot so
cases man
i would like to have a word with both the people who design, want, and buy these dogshit cases
Literally missing some screws to hold the jackass side panels on
"did you design this case"
"yes"
"fuck you"
So it just falls off from whatever happens
Carbide spec 03 series Corsair name can’t remember
Not the worst case so eh
But it’s the only case and the first case I had since I got my first pc for gaming so
Aside from psu, all parts have changed so lol
if it was me, i would 3d print some bullshit to keep the panels on
can you break out the zipties?
Don’t think I have any
are you in the 3rd world?
If America is a third world country, then yeah
It's close if you go to any Northeastern city
we should meet up and touch butts
i wanted to go clean cigarette butts in hartford alleys
Good enough
Corsair 280X is a decent case but there are some oversights in my opinion.
Like, you can add bottom fans, but unless you have an extension cable, the USB 3.0 cable will be in the way of everything.
just spend the couple bucks
And the top glass panel thing too.
the top panel is quite dumb
My temperatures are 15 degrees better with the panel removed.
Some people also decided to make their own panel that promotes airflow.
Top panel is more than stupid tbh
Why does someone need glass on top
Anyway the PC works fine now lolers
Usually it happens, I restart PC, works right away or in a couple minutes
This time it didn't really turn on until I came back from shopping just now so
So now it crashes
yea i agree my top panel is plastic which is good for air coolers in my case but if i wanted to do a aio i would want to replace that top panel with a mesh one i wish it came with mesh and the plastic one
the more expensive version still has a plastic version or it might be glass but the front panel comes with both a mesh or a glass option but still no mesh top which is stupid
Lol
Running A1 and I noticed a drop down to ~30fps when we got past the first alarm door
Any way to lessen that?
Specific graphic settings to turn down?
Or is it just my dogshit GPU xd
what gpu you got
1060 3gb
hmmmm might be your gpu
what settings you running i wouldnt have alot of stuff turned up
It keeps canceling my matchmaking and hosting lobbies attempt?
Can I run the game fairly well with a 1060 6gb and i5-10600k
Noticed some stutters starting up the game
Game introduction involves a lot of flashing lights and glitching, I suppose for the horror aspect
side panels are useless as well
why do you need to have any tempered glass or something
just remove it and get free airflow
yes but dust can accumulate and shit can crawl into your pc much easier like mice and stuff if you have mice
side panels are needed to maintain static pressure
without a side panel, you might as well get an open air case
dust filters on a case without a side panel are pretty worthless
also that if you have a good negative or positive or neutral pressure case with good airflow there shouldnt be a temp problem like mine is based on positive air pressure and highest ive seen it get is like 69 to 76c but that was under a stress test for a 5800x cpu
i have a 2070 and the highest its got was like 69 c
so if you have a good case designed to have good airflow and made for air or aio cooler you shouldn't need to take any panels off or replace them
i went with air cooling for my case cause of the way it was designed
Can you run gtfo on a gaming laptop?

Would you guys happen to know why randomly in a session of GTFO my PC will shut down? I’m running a 3090, 5800x amd, with an 800w PSU.
cooling?
sounds like the pc is overheating, bc those parts are intense on the heat. And GTFO isn't exacltly a chill game on specs
@young summit what cooler do you have ? How big is your case what's your fan setup did you build the pc or is it a pre build ?
GTFO is pretty chill, limit the frame rate to just under your monitor refresh rate. This will prevent temp spikes as you get 999 fps in menus
Hi all. I have extremely low fps (less than 10) on i7-6700k, 32GB RAM, RTX3060. In afterburner I can see that GPU load is so low, that video card does not even raise frequencies. CPU load is ~20%. Perfomance profile is enabled in Windows. Reinstalled nvidia drivers using DDU. Integrated GPU is disabled in BIOS. Nothing helps. Do you have any idea what it could be and how to fix it?
@atomic stump
Delete this file and should help. That's whats helped everyone else
I managed to fix my problems just by deleting all that preloaded Asus bullshit
i've been chatting with them in #gtfo-technical-support
Any suggestions for a psu? Mine isnt putting out clean power under load and it took me weeks of crashing to finally get motivated enough to diagnose.
EVGA is a great brand.
Alright, any others if that isnt in stock?
ASUS is also good.
Antec would be my next go to if both of those are bleh
Alright. Thank you very much
Is it me or the game keeps glitching me time to time
Or audio gets cut off later on
ended up finding one for like 44% off, thanks for the advice
no problem, if it doesn't work out ASUS is the next best for sure
I'm new to PC gaming, will a AMD Ryzen 5600x work with this game?? I've got a 3070 so I assume that's good enough as a gpu just wondering if the 5600x is too
Yes
100%
Sweet
Would an AMD Radeon RX 6600XT be able to run the game adequately? I understand it's one of the more mid tier cards but wanting to go team red
I haven't tested it myself, but I would assume you could run this very well given the fact this game can run at 30-40fps on some very low end cards
A friend of mine has a 6900XT, he claims it runs GTFO flawlessly and when playing with him he never complained.
So I think you're good with the 6600XT
I second that. I play with a 970 and its generally fine
Awesome awesome, thanks guys
my base 3600 literally doesn’t break a sweat with gtfo
(my rx570 wants to go jump off a cliff, however)
corsair rmx series is pretty good
How much money in € will I need for a computer that runs all the latest games including a screen, keyboard and mouse?
More or less?
for 2 and 3 you can get really good ones
it really depends on what peripherals you get
wheter or not you wanna spend much on a good screen keyboard and mouse
gpu is the main thing nowadays, really expensive
my advice would be, look up what games you wanna play, and how different gpus perform in them
then you can decide wheter or not for example 60fps is enough for you in a current game, if you want more etc
and the build the PC around the gpu
Well, if you’re looking to play 1080p on 60FPS or 144FPS, you’re fine getting one of the 6600XT or a 3060, latest low end to come out that’ll definitely play any games
If it’s 1440p 144Hz, maybe you’ll have to look a for something more, but even a 3060 is great on 1440p 144hz anyway
3060s and 6600s are not low end gpus lol they will play anything on the market with no issue whatsoever at 1080/1440p. dont fall for the twisted marketing. supply has been strained for 2 years so the price is high on any gpu
Guys, anyone had any problems with gtfo and bsod or mostly just complete pc restart during the expedition drop loading animations?
6600s and 3060s aren’t exactly the highest on the tier list as well
There is a 3050 Ti iirc, lowest for nvidias RTX 3000
Or a 3050 idk
i have problems on B1 dropping forever with or without bots so.. im stuck not beign able to progress 😦
running 1060 medium
Turn on the frame counter under HUD, if you are getting consistent frames (usually 10ish when it isnt consistent) your game might be screwed up, try verifying files and/or reinstalling
noted
@ocean ivy whats the usual time for dropping in rundowns?
i got 48-60 fps but at times it drops at like 16 etc unstable
i think reinstall is the last option since i still get stuck on the drop
@ocean ivy reinstalled and everything still the same i get forever stuck at drop and then it goes program not responding
might be better than here for solving your issue, usually people there can help out if you send them a logfile @orchid dagger
is this the channel i can flex in
Nice case stand and guitar
ty, moved the axefx already bc the pc almost fell there lol
Lol
should put casters on your case so you can drift it
I like the initial D
hello, my pc has 1050ti, 12 GB ram and i5 3340 (I know my build is bad/old, cant afford a new pc) I have been playing on half texture size and everything medium and i still get stutters sometimes when there are a lot of enemies coming, should i reduce it to quarter or reduce something else or let it stay like this
Try changing other settings first
I lowered the fog detail and literally couldn't notice
Gave me a good bit of frames back
2080s will play this game fine as well
nice initial D sticker
Ryzen 5 5600x and GTX 970, pre 1.0 met max requirements, now requirements changed and only run @ 20 fps on low everything.
Same here on i7 2700K and GTX 970. 12fps when in lobby. Strange fact: was running 1.0 smoothly last week. Need optimizing patch for older hardware please. All settings to low doesn't make a difference. @hallow rock help us!
I heard something about deleting the settings file in the game’s folder, that could help
Tried that yesterday and no difference.
Tried verifying game files through steam, re-installing, windowed screen, resolution down to 900p instead of usual 1080. Vsync and AA off, everything on low. No difference
i usually go from 80-100fps down to 40-50fps, sometimes low 30’s when in the ||outside|| area. any ideas on how to increase frames through settings, like particle density possibly? thanks
right now, that's going to be pretty normal to drop like that as we haven't done a lot of optimization for that area. It's something on our list to do, and optimization overall
Thank you for your reply. I hope overall optimization will make the game playable again for me soon. Good luck with the to-do-list 💪🏻
TBH I don't think any optimization will help a 10 year old CPU and an almost 8 year old GPU, u might have to upgrade to get more then 30fps in GTFO.
The GPU should be able to run the game
The CPU idk but it was alright before so
Uh oh
Extreme tech upgrade go blup
Pci extension time
Anyone know like the best settings for fps?
I'm running on a 3060 6gb and everything on high gets me around 80-100 but sometimes just drops to the 40s
Sometimes my fps dies after continously checkpointing
Sometimes its the map or area
its probably cause the game isnt really optimized too well yet
There was a fps bug that was fixed this morning tho
FWIW, everything on high is a waste
Can bump some down to raise others or gain fps
Unless you don't care for frames above 60FPS, or you can do high FPS while using high, don't use it
I see your point, I do. However, so far there hasn’t been a modern game I can’t run after lowering some settings. It would be a shame if gtfo happens to be the first as it’s one of my favourites.
And yes, it was fine in early access and fine at the time 1.0 was released. I can see the stunning visual improvements so I get it. However, see this picture. My system isn’t stressed in any way…
updated drivers, tried running game in admin mode?
Updated drivers ✅. Haven’t tried admin mode. Could that make a difference?
never know sometimes it does
u can also fully uninstall the game and delete all the temp files literally everything, reinstall and sometimes that fixes these kinds of issues
could be an older file messing with the new build and they are conflicting
when was the last time u used a fresh video driver uninstaller program might want to try that, if its been over 2 years
"DDU" is clean video driver uninstaller removes all bloat files, and u have a completely fresh install
i use that about every 2 years so its completely fresh, also a lot of people swear by fresh windows installs. (i hate doing that though)
if u wanna test something, u can use DSR in geforce settings to push the resolution higher and see if the FPS changes or if utilization changes and its nothing happens then I'm not sure what to do
I was having the same issue. If you go into your appdata folder and delete the folder labeled TEN CHAMBERS COLLECTIVE and launch the game it should fix it. It worked for me and seems to for others as well
This makes sense. I will give it a go later today and report back. Thanks for bringing it up!
You are very welcome!
ever since the first patch for gtfo's full release I have been experiencing some really strange behavior from the game, the game runs fine on 144 fps for 99% of the time but every now and then the game freezes completely for a whole second or two
It really is annoying is there anything that in that patch that could be causing this?
My system is running a i7 9700k and a gtx 2070 with 16 gigs of ram
rip deadly
your system is alright
most common issue is the texture loading
on what type of drive do you store the game on?
Is it me or my HDD is dying out? How can you tell if it’s out of commission?
Usually SMART will tell you if there is an error
This didn’t solve it. Issue remains
weird. I would go to the tech support channel and see if someone there can help ya out.
Is you hdd full?
SSD, not even close to full
Technical support gave some options. Will try again soon
And you can run other games with the same type of requirements just fine?
Certainly
Hmmm that is indeed odd
No launch parameters that could be affecting it?
Check fps cap
Try changing priority of GTFO in task manager
well my pc is broke so im upset
it turns on and has a yellow dram light but reseting cmos and putting one ram did not fix it we are going to try his ram and see if it fixes it
but if not is most likely the motherboard or cpu
cause it wont even post into bios
and i did a update that said motherboard in armory crate last night it was not bios update i know that
would the power button being stuck in during post do this it was stuck on posting and it turned off during post
and i dont remember if anything other then the dram light came on
Does anyone know if PCs running really hot for this game is a common issue or specific to certain systems?
whats the temp
The only temp you should be getting is 70-80 at the most
Anything past, you'll have to check in on cooling
Hey guys it has been a while
Hello
I am having a bit of internet issues related to my Ethernet Connection. I am getting "Unidentified Network". I have tried command prompts, updating drivers, restarting my Computer/Router. Nothing it working... I am not sure what to do.
Normally this wouldn't be a problem because I have Wifi, but I need to fix this for a potential job.
When did this start happening?
What was updated, what was changed beforehand ectra. This issue has a number of things that can cause it.
restart pc, modem, router? clean network cache maybe?
2 days ago. I didn't change anything it just started
Have you disabled IPv6?
How do I do that?
Command prompt would have been how you clean the network cache
ipconfig /release
ipconfig/renew
comand prompt run as admin then type ipconfig/release
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig/renew
Resetting the protocols is
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
I did do the Netsh winsock
On a side note, when was the last time you did a virus check?
I did it a few days prior to this happening
I would run it again, double check. There's a chance some minor malware caused this.
It could be also a driver issue
They did say they reinstalled/updated I recall
reinstalling network adapter could fix it
Let's try the Command Prompt thing.
If the virus check comes out bleh
If I uninstall this:
Wouldnt I lose internet access?
Yes.
Do you have a hardline?
Or a wired connection ready?
The Ethernet isnt working all I have is wireless
Alright.
Let's try the Command Prompt thing.
ipconfig /release – release the current IP address
ipconfig /renew – renew the IP address/ Request DHCP for net IP address
ipconfig /flushdns – flush the DNS cache on your Windows PC
ipconfig /registerdns – register the DNS
Follow this order and tell us what happens
If it doesn't work I can show you how to assign one manually
Might also fix it
Is that what I put into the prompt?
Yes yes
Just copy paste
ipconfig/release
then the renew
then flush
then registerdns
All in one go?
Nope, one at a time.
no spaces
ipconfig/release
if there's no spaces and that's just how it looks then press enter
Done
Noice
im wondering if it could be bios related, have you recently updated your mobo bios or changed settings? if the commands dont make a difference try looking in the bios settings
^
Should I do renew before restarting?
Yes
then ipconfig/flushdns
then ipconfig/registerdns
and that should be it
I haven't touched my Bios since I built my PC some 3 years ago
it auto updates
alright
and sometimes it's very sneaky about when it updates
Aye, my laptop does it.
its usually always manual cause its a sensitive task
screw the update and the mobo is bricked
It isnt letting me input more commands
Well there is no prompt...
press enter
Not doing anything
Alright, then quit out of it and move to part 2
MSI laughs at you
oh btw you can force ipv4 thats also something to try out
lol i have msi mobo it has a backup bios really handy although i dont use it never had to
Guys:
I had to use it once on my Z970
lifesaver 😄
Okay so
I see your problem
You have too many people on the DHCP
It seems
IE, too many connected devices to your router

So let's try
the last 2 things
And then we're gonna do something both lewd and magical
Hawt
We will come to this in a moment

uwu it's gonna get sticky
Anyway.
then ipconfig/flushdns
then ipconfig/registerdns
slap them in
one at a time~
That should be it
See if it fixed it
Huff.
So, the next step after this in my book is to increase the number of DHCP users
How to do that
which requires you to log into your router/modem and do it manually, following whatever steps are for your respective modem
see idk cus ever router is different
Uh
The thing I linked explains how to do it, kinda.
Uhhh
I feel like I should call my ISP then xD
Maybe you should, that might be a good idea.
type this into your browser 192.168.0.1
Hmmm
if no passwords were changed you can find it underneath the router its a sticker with passwords
Nothing was changed
you have to be connected with a cable to the router to do that
i see why nothing happens i cant see the info underneat default gateway
you can usually see the router ip adress there but in your case its blank
in that case idk
best to just contact isp
I didnt paste that link in my browser
my bad its 4am where im living kinda tired
good luck though hope it gets fixed soon
Called my ISP the person told me she didn't know how to increase the threshold on my modem so the next best option would be to buy a router?
do ram sticks just randomly die or do you think 1 was bad from the start due to my computer randomly freezing and not responding till i restarted it
sometimes
it took like 3 months for it to die
Uhm, that's interesting. Can you log into your router yourself at all?
I mean if you have the money, go for it, but I'm still certain this issue is something else
Then what can we do it @abstract kite?
remove devices from the network then try connecting?
Id say honestly figure, based on your router, how to increase the DHCP
Because based on what was seen from the Command Prompt screenshot, it looks to be you hit the cap
I found the model
Alrighty what is it?
I'm running gtfo with a 1050 2gb and the game is unplayable I have everything turned to the lowest including vsync.
that is likley because your puter is tater
Probably
I'm pretty sure I meet the minimum requirements however
I have around the same specs and am able to play around 20fps
on an 860m, all low settings, 800x600 resolution, i get 60 fps, drops a bit here and there, but nothing major. Are you sure you're using your GPU and not the integrated gpu?
also, drivers updated or not?
recently i installed manjaro (linux distro) and im having trouble running this game above 35 fps, i get that this game isnt native to linux but what settings have the most/least impact on performance?
Specs-
Nvidia 2060
16GB Ram
AMD Ryzen 2700x
sorry if this is the wrong chat, i wasnt sure whether to post that here or tech support for gtfo
i use ubuntu to play gtfo pretty much exclusivley at this point
if not here, you can always check the protondb discord
hows performance on your end? and i did find the issue, i installed the wrong drivers for my gpu, the game runs relatively ok now on the lowest settings
200 of my 900 hours at this point have been on ubuntu
on a gtx 970 and i7 3770k
i get about 50 ish fps on almost minimum
generally around 75 fps
does your fps dip to almost unplayable when in the desert sections?
this is roughly what im getting on average now which is nice
you should probably be getting more tbh
we can always hop into a vc and we can discuss settings and tweaks or what not
oh, not now, im going to sleep soon as its almost 2am lol
oh, in that case
take a look at Gamemode when you wake up.
got me a good bit of more fps
gn
I have an i7-8500u and mx150
I play on 1080p, because anything lower and I cannot read text
If I went down to 800x600 I might get something around that but I wouldn't be able to read anything
maybe try 1366x768?
with exclusive fullscreen
Yeah I can try that I guess
yes for now
If I were you I would run the game and open task manager
and figure out what is throttling you
it could be thermals
the surface you are playing on also can be a huge deal
so just check temps cpu usage and gpu usage
then we can figure out the best way to optimize your game based off of that info
@lavish steppe
Alright thanks
I have one of those cooler master stands that I usually use
Not able to play the game right now, but I'll get back to you with that info @abstract kite Thanks!!
np
Is there a potential bug chat here? Noticed my game crashes when I put it at ultrawide mode
I've a question. I noticed that there's a layout you can open with Nvidia Geforce which shows fps and CPU/GPU usage, and also something called Render Latency. What's that, exactly?
Render latency is the time it takes your GPU to render a specific frame
Thanks!
Thank you! I was able to get help and fix my issue!
What are the minimum requirements?
I have a i7-7700 with a gpu Nvidia GTX 1050 ti and I'm getting low frame rate what should I do?
how low?
@ocean ivy my main is 45 fps and when I'm in the data sample it's 20 fps
Lower resolution
data sample being the other dimension? thats pretty good for your specs
Yes I get 20 fps in the dimension
Hi! Hoping this is the right place for this, but I'm having a gamepad issue. Essentially, it seems like my aim on the x axis buffers for half a second whenever I return my right thumb stick to neutral. As in, when I come to rest with the right thumb stick, aiming stops but only after buffering for a fraction of a second. My gamepad works perfect on Halo Infinite, Control, Dead By Daylight, etc, so I assume it's something in my settings!
if you think its something in you're settings then try resetting them
Is nordvpn fast enough for gtfo?
hello
I have a question and I figure this is the right place to ask it, I am trying to play gtfo on a laptop, and it’s a pretty decent laptop from what I’ve seen but I’ve turned down the graphics settings and I’m only doing 12 fps. Everywhere I looked said that it met the recommended requirements. I’m also very new to computer gaming and I have no idea what a lot of the settings mean so help would be appreciated. I was really looking forward to playing this game
post what laptop @keen aspen
Pretty sure it’s a surface book 3
what graphics card
Prolly integrated graphics 🥶
Just trying to upgrade his understanding
Sorry I took so long, but where do I find this?
I googled it and I ended up with a window that says direct x diagnostic tool and I clicked display and it says Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics, but if I just google what graphics card the laptop has instead of how to check it says NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
I don’t know which is what but this is what I found
I am fine with lowering graphic quality of the game a bit to make it run better but I hope I don’t have to turn a lot of the features off and turn the resolution way down like I have to make it playable because I feel like it takes away a lot of the atmosphere and feel of the game. Im trying to figure out if my laptop just isn’t good enough and I should probably refund or is there a list of optimal settings I can change to help get the frame rate to playable levels
Yo i wanna buy this game until its on sale but i dont know will my pc specs will run it: intel i3 3240 3.4 ghz, nvidia geforce gt 1030 8 gb ram win 7
if possible, do try upgrading to 16 gb of RAM.
why
Your PC is at the very minimum for graphics card, and the CPU is below the minimum spec. Your probably not going to have good performance with your current PC
You get to have more programs in the background while gaming, if you don't care to turn off any programs at all. With programs like discord and whatnot running, 8GB can be taken up somewhat, and games will not feel responsive or smooth. With an increase capacity, it helps to reduce stutters. Say for example a game says you require 8GB RAM as minimum, it's alright. But with no other parts changed except for the RAM now being 16GB, it improves how well the game can run as you can be able to handle more running programs
Sounds like you have the 13.5" screen, which has integrated graphics.
Try downloading gpu-z, its easier for us to read. Who knows, might still have a card.
There is always the possibility the laptop wants to use the integrated to save power, which is a frequent issue.
anyone running gtfo on 6700 XT @ 1440p? how's the framerate there?
Ok thanks, I’ll try that
I like task manager
If you click on performance? it gives you graphs for everything in your pc, and it’ll say what GPU you have, what CPU, etc.
If you do have the 1660Ti, GTFO is probably using the integrated graphics like Clay said, and then the last hurdle would be finding out how to make gtfo use the 1660, which shouldn’t be that hard
I thought there was an option to set the desired output
There might be, I thought that was just for the display settings.
I know it’s very easy and possible with unity, i just don’t know if the devs have it in the game or not
I looked on the back of the box the laptop came in and it says it has the 1660 ti
So how do I make the game actually use it?
probably tweak gtfo within the nvidia control panel
How do I do that? (I’m new to computer gaming)
uhhh
honestly do you want to just get in voice chat or something?
yep yep
did you download the one for windows 11?
yes
i tried a few because i downloaded the wrong ones a couple of times but the one that i swear is right is still not working
Windows 11 no work on windows 10
he upgraded to 11.
oh
he was on 10 before because windows update rolled by itself, as usual.
i found updates and downloaded them so im going to try again and see if it works
Imagine we go through all this only for the graphics card to be just not good enough anyway lmao
kool
any luck?
im downloading one rn in the geforce 16 series but theres another series option that says geforce gtx 16 series (notebooks) but idk what that means
you want the notebooks one
whats the difference
so i should probably do that one bc im on a laptop?
yes
it didn't work
both said it wasn't compatable
i was so certain it was the right one
i have like 10 drivers installed right now lol
Uninstall them all
use nvidia's auto driver installer
Which is geforce experience
Boot it in safe mode if you can't get back on because drivers are uninstalled
It will automatically download a driver that's probably not current, but it will work and let you into Windows
so where do i get geforce experience
i just googled it and now im at a page with an install button but i want to be sure its the right thing
NVIDIA GeForce Experience Auto Update Drivers and Optimize Game Settings
Bloatware sure
But it's simple and easy to use
They will do it automatically which will be nice for you
i dont know anymore
i never did really
i have a gpu but its useless for some reason
i swear they saw my computer at the end of the production line, did a quality check, saw it didn't have a gpu, crammed one in and just shut the computer
my laptop just keeps saying there isnt an nvidia graphics card when i try to do stuff but weve already established there is
so why doesnt it work D :
try enabling it in device manager
save for that, check the bios for weird gpu settings
do the show hidden again
yeah
where is the gpu?
i looked through all the drop downs and didnt see it
did you click "show hidden devices"
nothing is working :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
did you try the command line ones?
try checking for stuff in the bios
what the fuck
my thoughts exactly
yes
lmao if after all this it was just a "turn it off and turn it back on"
microsoft makes shit products
frankly, if you just bought this thing
return it tbh
fucking dogwater products.
funniest thing all day
after all that
jeez
now what lol
i forgot what we were doing to begin with
trying to install drivers for your discrete gpu (1660)
but we couldnt, because your gpu wasnt being detected
i wonder if you can open the nvidia control panel now.
awful.
so i scrolled up and it looks like you were telling me to tweak gtfo in the nvidia control panel
yes
the gpu should work now right?
the proof will be in the fps
but tweak the gpu settings for gtfo
it should let you choose the gpu you want to use for the specific game.
so it's program settings, gtfo, and pick high performance nvidia processor?
yeh
i reset to default settings, started up a rundown, and played a little. Game looks great and holds a solid 60 fps!
I am physically incapable of thanking you enough
good job kings
i try, i try.
Wack
@fleet canopy wack? u got something to say?
we just tryna help a king join the gtfo community
They were one of the people who helped actually
i hope whatever you're pertaining to as "wack" isn't pertaining to that
oh okay good
idk why he saying wack tho
probably Wack either because he wasnt thanked simultaneously,
or
The fact that it was literally the classic solution to any tech problem.
Because the problem was stupid as shit to honestly be a thing
And the solution to it makes it even dumber
@fleet canopy bet i like that
Note to self, my previously irrational hatred of tablet PCs isnt irrational.
Note to self: Buy tablet pc
note to self: rebuild my pc
Note to self: build tablet threadripper
Too overpowered
Note to self: buy seam ripper
Don't even have to buy one just date a girl from tumblr
tumblr still exists?
no
note to self: build a supercomputer
note to self: buy thermal paste and another 8gig stick of ddr3 ram
also im getting my pc fixed on tuesday so thats fun
whats wrong with it @abstract kite
i had to buy new ram sticks recently cause my 3 month old pair 1 of them decided to die
hmmm
well hope it gets fixed and maybe you possibly upgrade it to
if you have the money to fix and upgrade it or if the fix is to upgrade then hope it all goes well
would i be fine if my ram is only 500 below requirement?
it only said the ram was insufficient
everything else is above the minimum requirement
Might run out of memory if you have a lot of crap loaded
only other thing i have loaded was discord
Discord takes quite a bit
i have 12 gig of ddr3 for example
I have 48GB DDR4 with amd 2700
48GB? Sounds out of place
i have 32 gb 3600mhz with 18 latency with a ryzen 5800x
I’ve got 3200MHz CAS16 with 32GB
And I can’t overclock it past 3200Mhz for shit
Even despite it being b die
thats what my old ram was until a stick died

not sure if this is the correct thing
but i have 21gb commited
but 3.2 gb available
3200mhz
3.2GB available? What the fuck
i dont know if thats good or bad
im using rtx 2080s with an i710875h and only gettin 40-50 frames in c3 at 1920x1080
woah
with min graphics
turn on vsync
mine 2060 still can run at about 80-100
Im trying to keep my intel temps low below 90c max core temps on my laptop
that is the main problem
oh boy thats bad what is the 21 gb committed to is what im wondering 3 gb of ram available is not good
like i said im not sure if i have the correct tab open
are you sure?
yes
cause i have 456gb of storage
postive
im not sure if one are the same
ram is different from storage
ram stands for random access memory
its different from a hdd or sdd
i cleaned some things off
8 gb wont get you many places or many games to play
look at the resource monitor
at the bottom of tab
right now i have 14 games on my laptop
16 should be more than enough ram most of the time right
oh oof
gtfo is running fine though.
well with that much i would honestly think about buying 2 8gb sticks for a total of 16 gb or buy 2 16 gb sticks for 32 gb
im not sure if i can do that im not using a custom pc in using a laptop
and it might void warranty.
i mean
it shouldn't as long as you dont pull void warranty tags off but i would check if adding ram to your laptop would void it cause it has another slot for one
what is your ram btw
he has a laptop
its one ment for gaming which i feel was a sham
and it sounds like he never took it apart
but i got it mostly cause of space
yea gaming laptops are mostly shams
but i dont really have room for a proper pc
If you wanna get a non sham gaming laptop get a legion 5 or legion 7
from lenovo
best laptops rn
right now i have asus tuf gaming
legion 7 has rtx 3070 with amd ryzen
tuf gaming motherboards are good but the laptops i dont know i would go with his suggestion on laptops
its like razer, the mouse and other hardware are great
then i will need to hold off for a while
i already have the laptop
so
i dont see a purpose of getting a new one until this one breaks tbh
you could always resell it after warranty can't you
why does my laptop keep switching gtfo to integrated graphics by itself D:
Just upgraded to an Alienware M15 Ryzen9 / RTX3070. Used to be an AMD guy in my younger days, so it feels pretty good to be (partially?) home.
Im upgrading to a legion 7 in the future
Nice. Yeah, when I was shopping for this new one, I saw a couple of Lenovos that looked intriguing, but got this one for like $400 off.
Then got another $200 off when the ordering system choked and I had to order it by phone.
Windows 11 came preinstalled on it, so I had to fight with that for a couple of days while setting it up.
I got a razer blade advanced 15 2080s and 10875h with 16gb. For $1600, kinda wasted it shoulda gotten the legion 5 pro or 7i but the 300hz screen is very nice
Until the max core temps reach 90c tho
Also why is c3 so freaking laggy frames drop so much in c3
Yes i have a pentium 8086 with some ram and display. It seems i'm having trouble running GTFO
I hit the turbo button but it unfortunately doesn't help.
did you try adding more turbo? jk not a car
Turbo should only be used when a game is running too fast.
You want to hit the un-turbo button.
or set the cpu culling workload to medium
idk if this is the right place but ill move elsewhere just incase
my game just doesnt load after the cutscene from dropping in it crashes and even ruins my discord and i have to force close everything with task manager
i do play on laptop mainly a acer nitro 5 (2019)
oh ok thx
Does anyone know any feasible ways to optimise a 10yr laptop?
That depends fully on the laptop
In many cases you can upgrade ram and storage space, sometimes you can get away with swapping the cpu but it's not recommended.
In all honesty, once a laptop hits 7+ its time to get a new one based exclusively off the fact a lot of the hardware just isn't supported anymore.
However, if you're just looking to make it work; ram upgrade and storage upgrades are a good way to go, move the operating system to an ssd on the laptop assuming it has a PCIE slot and maybe grab an external drive. Other than that, very little to my knowledge you can do.
Well I can't do much on the hardware side and it does not support SSDs. I don't think they were even introduced when this laptop was made 😂. I did upgrade the ram from 4 to 8 so it's a bit better than it used to be
The laptop is an Asus K43SJ
I really do have to buy a new laptop
That, was actually the model of my old laptop from like 2010ish
Yeah, depending on your budget you can get some up to date laptops for cheap
if the laptop uses a hard drive with the sata interface you could buy a 2.5 ssd
according to crucial there are several ssd's that are compatible with that laptop
yo i put together a pc for my cousin on pc part picker, could anyone help out and see if it would run good?
(3090+ intel >=10900k with all cores static OC'd at >=5GHz and samsung b-dies RAM side, w/xmp2.0 --- )or better should cover him
thats too expensive for him tho as he currently doesnt have a job, i got a 2060 with a ryzen 5 5600g and that does perfectly for me, but thats still to expensive for him. so i put together a 1650 with a ryzen 5 3600, would that work? https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/2sMgdD theres the parts list. Im mainly worried about the psu if im completely honest
jesus, a 1650?
i mean, theyre not terrible
thats still like $500 in NZD
i really hate how OEMs can get their hands on GPUs at MSRP and we're stuck here like fools with 500$ 1650s
it really sucks
bro youve been typing for an hour
i do not think that PSU's have actually gone too high, [i actually think they have and retain value if you get a decent one, these days... something modular is useful, if formfactor is important and your cousin might one day decide to change component or cases, things that are easily accommodated with lengths of different cable but they'll be locked by that PSU decision in terms of what they may one day be able to run as they do last long- (speaking from my last 20y where i have had [3, if we do not count the pre 06 era when things were a bit sketchy and i wound up fucking up on having to replace one not owning a UPS and deciding to buy at that time on pure value from some shit brand 2x as places i lived did not have real diverse options you now have, so the loss of a cable in one case functioning (that big ATX one for the mobo- meant i had to replace the whole thing in 05, and it was all from me not getting a modular PSU as they were both less common and less than easy to just find where i lived, gaming pc builds not being built for beatification/BS(- that is 1337/bling for muh streaming #YOLO- [a trend i abhor] but i am old to the whole DIY side of things) at that time, and way prior to that RGB era starting of imo some hot trash i would rather die than hurt my eyes on with the screentech everryone will be more or less using within 5y, if they buy new in terms of the whole "infinite contrast[undefined dark room technical contrast ratio**]" decade including this PSU of since the whole supply issue and pandemic, so in any event in which things do come down in price, and --psu's tend to kinda be useful for more than a single gen of hw- i would maybe focus a bit there if i am being totally honest with you and see in NZ i guess, if something like a EVGA supernova with 80+ platinum or higher is available at either 850W if the system is not going to be future intensively used in terms of "potential future upgrades" in which you wind up w/ things that will pull more power in the next decade or so than they presently do rather than the days i started when pwr consumption per gen was dropping and things were increasingly efficient-- that is over, that and thermals are just a disaster at this pt in waste head production and cooling solution necessity when you plan on any future of having high per core perf as a priority which unity games at least when i was going to get the 9900k were actually still single core performance metric hogs, and at that time the per core perf of intel was to my recall still >AMD offerings which is not to say that continued to my knowledge, although i hear that it is still the case with some exceptions given for windows 11 and its scheduler and efficiency metrics on an OS level that say zen 4 stuff will be fully utilizing, and locking you to, as well as the arguably more flexible OS wise, but less so in terms of actual manipualtion of the hw that alder lake has (outside being "#first" w/ ddr5 and win11 performance bonuses at the cost of a serious energy issue and e core unoptimized losses vs the comparable amd chipset iirc to 12900k [intel had dropped in terms of the traditional thread= 2x PHY core count, in at least the 10nm line they are doing as part of their 7nm density line before actual 7nm production of the next chipset which i'd probably wait for
-although if you want things like ram now might be the best time to get it before the mainstreaming of ddr5 and the rush on it- for future proofing, while systems exist right now that can utilize those and pcie5 stuff that is not really outside enterprise use cases from what i see (albeit the likelyhood of ADA-L cards being on that shit is kinda relevant i guess since they will likely wind up being in terms of pci data "gimped" from sub pcie5 lane speeds [they have that concern already apparently with the 3090ti rumors] --that is personally what i'd be concerned about as that will trickle down from flagships in due course, and wind up normalized even if it is a number of years from now, and while they are not widely used yet, that is actually increasing availability and aiding in the price in terms of it not yet being a resale/pricegouge to infinity like you see rn with some gpu's atop the trade issues and logitics problems that stalled all aib's and nvidia from meeting genuine demand to make scalping unprofitable which is not the case still --in my region definitely** i am not sure about NZ. **
**
given OLED eventually microLED self-emmisive per pixel backlight control -- That is something i deal with rn, w/ a dual function game monitor i have in terms of an LG signature series OLED TV, with a lower input as well as gtg latency than any of the comparably priced gaming monitors, while also having for our household a TV that can be used to "watch stuff when people are here, and its not me on my pc playing a game, where the actual native >8bpc situation comes into play, and the really good allignment in terms of my calibration to the d65 color standard, and modes set for gamma result in imperceptible color errors, so games that have a great deal of attn paid to them in their color or art design really are immersive in that regard as i know what i am seeing is the creator's intent- something that for the lower than some of the ROG gaming monitors half the size or any number of these "gamer" SKU monitors- wind up actually far in excess of having a simple monitor 2 or 1 that i use for media and game use- which rather than get scammed further in the realm of the "gamer" titled stuff i am able to get around the whole situation of gamer audio and that through just the use of a decent AVR used on the cheap these days, with the full gamut of HDMI 2.1 (actual- not faked with the label) feature set which allows for the 4k120Hz and 12bpc color space (not that you use over 10bpc- per any situation, i mean dolby vision uses that but that is not somethng panel's are rn, and or games- but you do get access to a much wider range just in the 10bpc SDR of a large swath of DCI/p3 colorspace used in gaming a fair bit, and bt2020 one for those pc games that qualify for actual HDR [properly developed for the application not a toggle with no settings (HDR and gaming has actually come a long way thanks to a large number of complaints since like '14 or so when it was introduced as a "thing" for the few people who wanted the input latency at that time that you had to contend with (Legit, not VESA HDR (i mean the type of standard that is not blowing your eyes out to get a higher contrast ratio and in doing so "inky looking comparitive blacks" while dealing with color bleed from FALD -and the limited zone qty that that tech brings, unlike OLED/[future panels of muled] (afaik typical LCD with LED backlit systems have begun stopping production by even samsung which has been steadfast with their "QLED BS (bright ass lcd, w/ zones and the buzzword of quantum to tell you that they have a rivaling tech when they dont- ideal gaming monitors for people who had a good CRT back in the day, is getting back to the performance of that CRT which has a majority of the OLED characteristics intrinisic, especially in motion handling which is where if you have never used CRT's and compared them to the motion blur LCD's give you- you'd feel something is off because you can see a jump per cinematic framerate for instance of a movie between each frame, that is completely perceptible, and normal if you had been using LCD for the last n years of life- as that motion blur is not how film content is actually meant to ever look, not to mention the trend post CRT of even having motion blur in games- as they'd soap opera efffect by comparison and look either too smooth or "innately" wrong to those older panels that most of the 20th century lived their entire life with, hell the closest for a while you could get was making a fake ULMB setup with a 3dvision monitor and having it go into strobe mode to simulate close to crt motion mode- whch i did impractically AF for the capacity to enjoy the motion clarity at the greatly diminished framerate and visibility on that asus tn panel i had back then [when 3d was the buzzword] prior to thinking myself a genius for realizing i could have
my cake and eat it in the need for a tv- for people when they would come here meeting WAF levels, and open room home theatre potential and a monitor that i had on a mount that i could fold away along with a pc i could move when guests were here pre virus. but i am still without them able to throw tv content or any content from streaming services on one screen and do work on the other for instance, and so forth like discord on my work monitor [not something i'd ever want to try gaming on and a IPS that is new age, so too bright and meant for office use with that terrible matte anti-glare coating that's pretty much all you can get now ever since i had a 2k yamakasi monitor before the oled era of display panel tech, which had a very good method for anti-reflectivity but was non-matte either, semi-glossy, similar to the tv albeit the tv-monitor hybrid is a serious piece of glass with heft that you really get a good sense of clarity through on things like text and unlike the yamakasi the bad lg work monitor i have has a pretty bad clarity problem tbh for what it sells for along with the hideous comparison that happens from having it in the same room on a "black background" w/ an oled extendiing that wallpaper which is jsut humilation to the work display beign the brightest thing in here if the lights are off and they are just on the desktop (i have organized such to make the OLED clean for old habitual anti-burnin reasons that are not at all the case now days i am well aware with the ASBL and ABL as well as constant screen motion- which you used to see samsung advertise their panels w/ while ironically, they have an entire lineup for this year of OLED's kinda caving on the promise of never having a panel of burnin in terms of finally adding to what only recently stopped being a monopoly by LG in panel manufacturing of substantial size- so and that makes a rather large differene with the price or will if you were to check pricing in the last week of november a little under 1y from now which i would promise that you would find find a new wave of monitors and tech that requires HDMI 2.1 standard outputting signals from a GPU for geting the most of that panel- as i recall waiting until i could not get fleeced on obtaining a 30 series card to simply have a 2.1 capable output [that permit 4k 120hz among the copius level of LG c-z series typical range of features that are pandering to gamer subsets like gsync and freesync premuium along with frame doubling and latency monitoring as they have figured out a large subset of their customers are gamers who dont want to be fleeced by the "gaming" monitor subset of "gaming monitor" industry which is trashy- and inflexible for its offerings- for instance idk why you'd want it, but you cant get a translucent display or EChromic display which is something oleds are more or less able to easily deliverr along with any shape and conformation that the substrate is designed for (flexibility bendability- i have seen rediculous sim systems where the screen can rotate and track your head up/down in a virtual monitor space with a variable curvature for people who fetishize flight sims i guess and lazyboy style chairs- whcih are absurdly high priced for the top tier buyers of that display market) .
i see multiple spelling errors with how much was typed in so little time
which is very surprising how much you typed
in like 1 to 2 mins
for me it said he was typing for more than an hour
ima read that later when i got a bit of time lol
what in the fresh hell
like what in the fresh fuck
part of me wants to believe this is a copypasta or something, but it took him an hour to type that.
there's like 3 periods in that whole thing, not counting the ellipsis
The weird part for me without giving a look too much is how he starts off on PSU
But I've seen nothing about a PSU yet
I still dont regret my purchase of a yeston sakura 6800xt.
he was replying to me and i said my main concern was about a psu
if im being completely honest i didnt understand much lol, but from what i did understand, you say to pretty much get a better psu for the potential of future upgrades and look at getting ddr5 ram instead of ddr4?
Reasonable takeaways. Frankly, a good base system will allow you to upgrade gpu several times without bottlenecks
But you will suffer with a shit psu.
i got a coirsair 80+ gold 650w in my build, would that be good for me to put in his build aswell or should i go higher?
Just be sure to stick to more common/well known brand to be safe, and you could follow the GPU recommended PSU requirements cause lol
750 is the general safe bet for upgrades provided its a good brand
nooo it's 2000W
Funny yoke hehe
rightio, thanks for the help, ill run it past him
Is a laptop with rtx 3060 and ryzen 5800H is good enough ?
Yeah
Is a i5 9600k and 3070 ti enough?
yes
Thanks
i got this issue with my mouse for quite a while and idk whats causing it, when i move it veeeery slowly, its not precise, it moves like idk 0.2 cm when i move it a milimiter
cant aim very well because of it, anyone expirianced this?
0.2cm and 1mm are very small distamce
are you just talking about your mouse sensitivity
0.2 cm is like 20 mm
But yeah it might be sensitivity on your mouse
Or some other thing
You should try to use 1000 polling rate or as close to that as possible, and configure your DPI and sensitivity to make it nice to use
better question is whats the mouse
i had a mouse at work that would jitter so goddamn bad you would just miss URLs when you tried to click on them.
i'm hoping this is the right channel for this but after running fine the first time round the game is now stuck on startup with it getting hung up on having no network, the log is showing me that the playfab API call ain't working and that the game wasn't able to create a secure channel. these errors are consistently the same over the last few attempts to startup the game. here is the relevant message in the log: 01:30:13.592 - PlayFabManager.OnSteamInitialized
01:30:13.904 - [163 - GetAuthSessionTicketResponse] - 11 -- k_EResultOK
01:30:14.191 - Something went wrong with your PlayFab API call. 😦
01:30:14.192 - Here's some debug information:
01:30:14.192 - Error: SecureChannelFailure (One or more errors occurred.)
01:30:31.903 - OnApplicationQuit
So there's a 7200RPM for 3TB I could get for 77$, but there's also a 5400RPM for 4TB I could get for only 80$. The only concern would be whether it's 7200RPM or 5400RPM
all the same, sub 100mb read/write in either case .. but if same form factor, bigger rpm is marginally faster seeks etc
just do 4tb ssd " 😄 "
I'm not getting a 4TB ssd too much money
Am going for HDD because I just need a storage for games as I keep running low
4tb 5400 is good enough for storing imho, moving a game to ssd takes 4min or 5min, doesn't make a difference..
alltho playing the games from that disk can be frustrating
literally almost no difference
3tb should be enough for everything you need
i would recommend the 7200rpm one
Honestly, i went the NAS route.
Way more convenient than overbuying storage for all networked devices
would a 980 ti work?
like what graphics could i play with it
i wanna know if i can get medium or low graphics on 1080p res
could you also ping if you respond i dont get notified otherwise sorry
what game? GTFO? probably easily.
what gpu do you use for it?
a 970, on minimum, on linux. stable around 75 fps/hz.
is the game more gpu or cpu reliant?
Considering my i7 3770k does not peg, id go with gpu dependent
okay, I just wanted to know bc I have a friend who wants to get the game with me and they didnt know if their cpu being worse then the recommended one would be a problem
Well, there is the recommended and then there is the minimum
Dunno, i dont know anyone with below reccd cpu
okay, thanks for the help reguardless
Frankly, i wouldn't use any gpu weaker than a 970
Might be tight, but playable
yeah
Should be fine on minimum
okay thanks
I think you’d be fine cause I play on a gtx 770 and the game runs fine.
That looked a lot better in my head and less messy. It looked ok on the TV though lol
Can I expect this magnificent game to have a list of lobbies with some fиcking ping stats any time soon?
Does a 1060 work well ?
likely.
does that router work really good
@cinder crypt I have 3 the ax11000 and 2 RT-AX92U routers and yes if you know how to use them properly but it would depend on what you mean by good.
I'm pretty sure a lot work fine
That's how I use them
It doesn't have to be this complex though lol
It would depend on your environment and what you're connected too but yes it keeps ping really low withing reason
just curious we have a eero mesh wifi system and that was the other option
@fleet canopy it does if you has loads of lizards with UV lights like me. I had to do all that just to reach my WiFi cams outside with out drops in signal haha
lmao damn
@fleet canopy UV light really messes with WiFi in a huge way lol
Ah
@cinder crypt what's your internet speed dont eero only go to 100 mb or something. I don't think they are the same class of router really but I don't know much about eero it would depends how much you want to spend and how good you are with routers. I would expect the Rog Asus to be better just with the price alone that router cost me £450 and the 2 RT routers where £350 so it would depend on your usage but I wouldn't use eero for my needs I don't think the signal would punch through my brick walls enough but I could be wrong
I could do better than that if I was willing to pay a subscription but I find that is adequate enough lowest ping I have seen is 4 ms
Where do you live I'll test a server near you lol
Oh that was wireless from my phone not from my pc with ethernet right into the main router although it won't change much I actually have a debate with a friend who swears my ethernet but my argument is my ethernet isn't much better than my WiFi I never really get drops and my speeds stay the same.
its up to 500 mbs on my xbox but i have tested near 700 mbs
What's your actual speed and do you experience any drops ?
but we also have a lot of cameras and devices
If you don't then it's not worth It for you and you made the right choice with eero
Ethernet is pretty much superior yeah but if your wifi is good, fuck it
i have it etherneted into
my eero which that eero has a direct connection into the main eero
I used to just have ethernet but I got a motherboard with wifi when I upgraded it around last year or two years ago
Worth it during school
which actually helps with the speed on my computer and my xbox
WiFi 6 is really good tbh so is 5g soon ethernet will just be an option the new ax routers have 6ghz frequency too not that there are many devices that use that yet lol
@cinder crypt if you're not getting any issues it's fine for you. Without knowing the interface and options available for you to alter I couldn't really say which is better other than googling erro Vs Asus ax11000. I got this router for the WiFi range it has and the ability to extend it further with the antennas obviously this still was not enough as I needed a further 2 to boost it more. Ironic thing is my geckos are upstairs now and I'm thinking of getting the newer Axe11000 and using that as a main and moving the Ax11000.i have into the attic and turning that into a node too lol.
@cinder crypt oh I wouldn't trust Xbox speed test though when I had a 350mbps connection it said I was pulling 550 on Xbox. This ax11000 also has an Xbox mode too haha
whats this game running at in max settings?
What?
It runs at whatever your hardware can push?
Anyone have experience with voice meeter?
I have an issue with my install and need help reinstalling the program + configuring it
You install the zip or exe, run the app as an admin, do whatever needs to be done, and restart your PC
This might sound stupid, but what is the difference between full screen window and maximised window in the display settings?
And what option is better performance-wise?
your pc gonna stop everything else and use most of the CPU and GPU for the game in full screen
you can easier to tap out and come back to the game with the maximised window
for performance-wise just use full screen
If you just like me choosing convenient
instead of those super high performance sometime we not even notice it
then maximised window
82 celsius should be fine for my 1060 when playing this game right? my game's not throttling or anything
actually lol, it's running way cooler than that without a custom fan curve, it's around 71c
so nvm that
thats still a bit hot
thats a bit on the high side but its alright might wanna consider changing the thermal compound if you have skilled hands and know what you're doing.
70 is fine
you're safe under 90
but the hotter it gets the worse the performance
my laptop only gets to around 50 at max
but 82c is a bit too hot at that point
@tall rain I already cleaned the heatsink and replaced the thermal paste on my gpu a few weeks ago
have you tried cleaning you're case and fans?
what would yall suggest case wise?
mines 14 years old and I need an upgrade
hopfully atx or Eatx
So my PC meets all the requirements for gtfo except my GPU which is still intel integrated 630. Do you have any advice on how to get a good GPU at a reasonable price?
Current game runs at 10fps or lower
At mostly low settings
watch the prices on ebay or watch restocks and hope you can snag one if not pray they will be in stores
Be careful about deals that are pretty close to msrp on sites like eBay I guess
If you’re close to micro center they could have one but idk if it’s a decent price or not
Gosh even at 2 to 3 times the MSRP they sold out
Best I can do is an amd6600 for two times the MSRP
I'll just wait
K
I've seen a few 1080's for around $500 usd on ebay a few weeks ago, not terrible pricing given the market, it's a steal when you see 1050 ti's going for $300 usd on Newegg
Amd 6600? You mean the RX 6600 or something else?
1080 for 500$ isn’t bad yeah, but with the new stuff, it can be eh
But then again I don’t see much for a better pricing
Unless the RX 6600 was around that price or a bit more, while performing much better than a 1080, it could be the only option
I hate this market
Now the market may have been bad before
But literally nothing could be as worse than today’s shitass market
2080 ti for 2,000$ okay yeah
But 3090 for 3,000+ yeah
Same tier, different year and generation, but worse pricing for newer gen
Now the 6900 xt is $2000, I remember it being $1500 not too long ago
That’s considerably worse I guess
2x price, 2080 ti was only 500$ above
Maybe at one point it was 2500$, but I’ve only heard 2000$
eBay
eBay is a scam website
anywhere where people are free to sell personal used stuff can be a scam
not can be but is
Smh it isn’t I got a nuclear warhead from Israel on eBay
I buy non tech garbage on fleabay all the time
its the same shit from 3rd party sellers on Amazon
I'm playing it fine
Did you change ur Res to specified in settings

i'm cheap.
is there any videocard OR processor with a fair price atm?
or should i keep waiting (cause so far i couldnt find any really)
CPUs are in okay prices, last I checked they’re about msrp
You could try getting a 6500 xt, it launches on January 19th. You're gonna have to be fast though
You could likely find a used 1080ti for the price of a new mid range gpu
