Pain management is a rough thing to deal with and there is always that suspicious that you are just a doper.

Ubisoft games usually have a setting file in their folder that you can edit manually, outside the game to turn off things that you might not be able to in game. It can make the game playable even on really, really old specs. I'm gonna take a look if there is such file for division 2.

with 8 or 7.88 gb ram. you would have to play it on the lowest settings and it would look like minecraft to get it smooth as if you ramp it up graphically its not gonna be smooth. so it all depends on how you want the game to play. If you can handle less looks but more performence go for it. and especielly in case of divison 2. i doubt they have fixed all the issues i had and i have a decent rig. i would wait for a uppgrade if you are doubtful about getting it to start with.

Your fps won't be great, but can definitely run the game on low settings and maybe lowered resolution.
If you buy the game via Steam directly(not key sites) you can get a full refund within 2 weeks and under 2hrs of playtime.

Enough time to see if the game works okay enough.

SSDs weren't a thing back then and the issue with DOD HDDs was Newegg bad packaging. The pus had passed the return date by the time I started the build and verified it was defective, it was a refurb so basically I screwed myself. Bad ram and cables happen.

To make a small example lets say we have a user who is using an i3 10100 with rtx 3060

the i3 10100 is bottle necking the rtx 3060 due to the massive performance difference with the ghz frequency it can provide along with the performance.

The RTX 3060 cannot be used to its full potential because of the cpu holding it behind.

Pairing it up with lets say i5 11600K or 5600x, or something better now we have a nice balance, BUT same can be same with the gpu bottlenecking

example would be using a 5900x, great cpu with many cores and threads, outstanding performance. Pairing it up with lets say GTX 1060 3GB Videomemory. The videocard was released in 2016 and the CPU released in Late 2020

The architecture is still great for low end budget gaming, but is severely holding the 5900x back due to its performance.

realistically the only games you'd hit close to 240 is CSGO, R6 and maybe Overwatch (aim is for your lows to be in that range, not your highs)

I got ~90 up and 20-25 down with 9ms ping when testing
..and yes that's a solid cable, no problems in other co-op games either.

GTFO is peer to peer so if you are geographically distant from the host you'll have issues with latency.

I regular see Europeans Americans and Australians play in the same lobby without any trouble. Most important is that the host has a reliable and fast connection.

Don't know about the internals of gtfo but if cpu is maxed or there is a lot of ram swapping don't expect synchronization to be maintained

Depends if your air is moist enough for dust to stick to your components over time. Would try air first, might be enough.
I like getting a very soft brush to displace some dust. Just be careful, some brushes have metal near the end, possible to short stuff.
