In "processes with disk activity", you can check applications, search for gtfo.exe and check that then unroll the "disk activity" tab, something was writing pretty big amounts of data judging by the spike there.

As an offhand comment, I remember that usually on dropping in you'd maybe sit stuck in the HSU a little longer. And maybe the game would split second freeze on the actual drop

I have that same problem (2-3 seconds freeze right after dropping in). In my case it seems the cpu and lanes are choked due to fast drives (raid 0, 2×pcie 4.0 drives with Intel DC4800 Xpoint as cache). This is a known thing in server cpu's with many drives and can pop up in desktop systems (usually 3-4 drives it seems) but from what I read, asked and found (tweakers forum, level1tech) it can happen in case of too many iops or lanes (trying to ram data too fast) taken.

By means of test I installed it on an external HDD I sometimes use with Intel 64GB Optane as cache, slower loading but minor stuttering loading in, no hard second long freezes.

Do I then understand you correctly that it may be a case of me having too many SSD/HDD, and them fighting over limited lanes.
I do have 1 HDD, 2SSD where one is an m.2. So it checks out to have 3 drives.
Since it happens only once per map and only on the first drop, I presume some data is being moved only once per session and does so at a time of much congestion..

Not sure what to do though... unless to follow your example of buying an external slower(?) drive

Tbh the thing is GTFO is very buggy when it comes to using last cloud on a new device

Slower? Xpoint has way better latency. Sequential is slower but the cache software is smart enough. Peak throughput never changes but the 4K1 is more than quadrupled.

If your drives have the lanes all good. If thye have many iops they choke the cpu. This seems to be the issue. Even better workstation cpu's can choke on 1million+ iops even if they have lanes to spare.

So in short too much iops, choke cpu, once loaded and in cache/ram all good.

I would not run it over to a slower drive. I did that as a test, but it loads too slow.

personally wouldn't bother unless your current motherboard does not support the CPU (unlikely). you'd see very little uplift changing motherboards unless your motherboard does not have the required CPU power headers.

but you could also consider one of the x3d CPUs

frankly, i'd just hold on as long as you can for a better whole AM5 upgrade a few years down the line after that,

USUALLY, I watch at Stalker 2 tests for frame performance because 1- It's UE5 2- It's unoptimized as shit very probably, therefore it counts as a stress test.

Still there's refreshes ahead for both Nvidia and AMD I think

Nvidia's 5070 ti super is rumored to be a 5070 ti with slightly higher clocks and 24 VRam, high Vram in your case wouldn't help that much, but the price should be roughly the same since from 4070 ti to 4070ti super I dont think they changed much

If you're planning to stay in 1080p category and are fine with 70-75 ish FPS I'd just stick to lower ends like 5060 ti- 5070

Of course futureproofing ain't a bad idea and prices for GPUs from my experiences fluctuate according to region

When using an x3d cpu, the ram speed and latency is less important. So you can actually look for a 6000 cl36 kit instead of cl30 and you can save a buck

I recommend looking for some higher quality power supplies from brands like corsair, evga, silverstone, be quiet, asus, and leadflower (leadflower is actually the company that makes most companies power supplies)

9800x3d can easily be cooled by an air cooler or a 240mm aio

I personally have a 360mm for looks, so that part is up to you

Tarkov actually does casually grab 24GB+ on two certain maps. And is very aggressive about starving other programs. Once that happens every truly active program starts the cursed cycle of dancing between active memory and cached stuff. Which hits both your CPU and storage in a noticable way

Did try openrgb out but it will not detect the gigabyte fans/chassis lights.It will only detect all of the asus/aerocool fans and devices.Strange thing is that all of the rgb fans are connected to the gigabyte hub and the openrgb/asus software detects the non gigabyte devices on the hub too.The problem lies in the Gigabyte rgb fans and chassis lights.When i installed gigabyte control center it detected the MB lights and the gigabyte rgb fans without problems.Just installed both software and synced them together.Shame that rgb on gigabyte devices are not working with other software.

first one died and i got another under warranty (though it was an upgraded model)

now this second one has been going alright for about 3 years

but its on its way out

the back is at the most vertical setting, but it goes backwards about 40 degrees

My gaming Chair is about 2-3 years old, and its in absolute shambles

Springs in Back Support and in the sitting cushion gave Out, so i have removed all of them in the cushion and tensened the Back Support with coins

This one is not the best either but compared to the gaming chair (same price 150 euro).This one actualy has more comfort.

If you want a good chair you will need to pay at least 300+ or 500 euro
