GTFO is suspenseful and shifts between Payday 2 stealth and loud missions in a single run.
If you like the gameplay of payday 2 you might like GTFO.

I guess I sort of liked B2? Fog's bad, but liked the blue hues and the huge rooms.
B3 has red hues everywhere and p.fog all over the place therefore instant cringe.

The fog isn't massively overbearing in B3 To my memory, a lot of it you can actually crouch in and though you hear the sound it barely seems to increase your infection at all (no boosters involved).

Quick question: Prior to R6, we had a lot of movement tech like b-hopping, crouch sliding for movement speed, and the likes. In R7, is there any noticeable movement tips and tricks to help me improve as a player? I'm a bit more experienced than my friends, but I want to be able to hyper carry like I used to lol
ledges/drops are your friends, enemies has to path around them but you don't

other than that sliding maintains your speed but if you hold it for a bit longer than when it had speed boost you gain a little stamina back

Bugged player quits out, bot replaces them, die, return to checkpoint, bugged player rejoins.
Is the idea on D1 that we should be disabling the error alarm by doing the class X alarm?
We've tried the level a good 10 times now (not enough yet), but the error alarm feels impossible
Maybe we're running the wrong tools?
The X alarm feels more possible, but still incredibly difficult considering there's still the rest of the level to go

or drop the cfoam if you're confident in your aim

You stealth the big room by the way you stealth in any other room in this game.
Going loud might work, haven't try though.
Larger rooms means less enemies close together. Therefore easier to stealth
I just find it hard to move cause they're a lot of hiden sleeper that can trigger
sudden cluster of 8 in the lab tile buildings 😔
you can sweep across in front of you with your flashlight on to get all the enemies to glow so you know where they are before you decide what to kill

If a sleeper is hiding in a dark corner close to you and you don't notice it, it's usually because you're not gathering info very well.
If you don't like flashlighting, try thermal or bio.

If you run COMMANDS on the terminal the uplink commands show up at the bottom of it right?
You can hold Q to bring up commands then use number keys/the scroll wheel to navigate the menu.

It's like driving, once you're actually going fast you don't feel it. But if you go from 0 to 200mph it's a bit much.
Not a perfect analogy but going from B1 right to C1, you'll definitely feel the gear shift.

C3 does have a soft lock checkpoint bug in the overload section could be what you ran

a burst sentry at 70% pointed at the security door to 95 should cover you for the entire scan
but tool is a bit scarce, so ensuring you have that much sentry ammo left can require that you opt out of some sentry coverage on earlier scans
otherwise just have to shoot reasonably well

50% is needed. As long as you are actually behind it (and not off to the side) thats going to work (with a hammer)

I'm on C2. Secondary objective. I just went back to Alpha 6 to download the extended genome. Now it says download failed, and to go to extraction, or go back to alpha 6 to finish it.
I don't know how to open the warp gate again, and I already used the matter cell

hey all, do you guys have any advice on navigating through dense fog? it doesn't help I'm directionally challenged in this game either lol
Same thing. I use matter wave to get there. Then the download fails and it says to go back to finish it. I dont know how to go back
I guess I bugged. After placing the last battery cell it teleported us there. We did the uploaded and got returned. Then we could open the secondary bulkhead and went past the mother, go the antimatter cell. Placed it in the warp machine. We did the scan and teleported to the desert. We went to the terminal and did the scan. The scan "failed" and teleported us back out. Saying to extract OR go back in. Having used the antimatter device already, can't go back in. Super bummed.

The issue was someone was retyping the download command, which resulted in the bug. Second time going in, don't touch the terminal. Just wait and do the security scans.

C1 has a terminal somewhere that could remove a large part of the fog, it will come up in the objective
Otherwise if you have no fog repeller with you, thermal scope is prolly your best bet
Last night my team cleared B1. But we were all surprised by the diminished class 4 alarm spawning enemies one room away instead of two. Is this a new feature of certain alarms in this rundown or was this an exception?

It's not the norm, but that alarm does indeed spawn enemies one room away. The speculation is that the level designer wanted enemies spawning from both the east and the west but didn't want to have to build a second room into the zone to the east, so they rigged the alarm so that it spawns from one room away to get that effect.
imo it's pretty terrible for multiple reasons, and they shouldn't've done it
As to how prevalent it is, I think one of the alarms in c2 has 1-room spawns too, but it's done in a way that I think it's not so bad. Not sure about anywhere else in the rundown, I think almost all alarms I've encountered in r7 obey 2-room rule.
Lmao it caught us off guard too, we planned for 2 room spawn and they spawned almost up our proverbial butts
Good to know it’s not too common. We checked all the doors we sealed and couldn’t figure out what happened.
They changed how alarms are coded/written/created Now, for each alarm they can specify how many rooms away enemy spawns. Most alarms are still set as 2 rooms away, however that alarm is an exception (1 room away)

Hopefully not. I reckon this alarm is set as 1 room away to let enemies spawn from the zone where you retrieve the cell (which only comprises of 1 room/area)
Got it. I guess it would have been a little gimmicky for the devs to put in another small room on that side. I’ll have to be careful in C2 to see if there’s the same situation there.

hammer: all in one, versatile
spear: more precision damage, cannot run and charge, safer due to longer reach
you should try use them both and see wich one fits your playstyle a lot more
Eh, imo hammer is just better than spear, but spear is easier to learn and use.
Spear doesn't lose that much compared to something like knife, though, although sprinting is kind of a big deal.

Is it possible to do b1 with 3 bots? On the bit with those floating eyes the security scan circle moves around but the bots just don’t get in the scan circle from the looks of it
You can definitely do it with bots. Unless B1 Changed since I did it the Flyers only spawn after you put the Neonate in initially and then later when you open the security door, so long as you don't rush straight for the T-Scan they should not affect you at all during the scan. When it comes to the T-Scan itself some preparation (sentries and/or mines facing down the bridge) should clear most of the wave allowing you to easily do the scan.
The bots not doing the scan can definitely be a thing though, they sometimes just don't care (in one case with a friend Hackett just stayed at the sec-door and never walked away; this actually helped us tho as the enemies pathed to him). It's not a full-team though so just focus on it yourself.
So u can complete the scans with 3 members missing?
Yeah, it's not a full-team so you can do it solo it's just a bit slower.

What's the best strat for beating B3 overload?
Have a biotracker or die to sniper melee
cfoam and mine the doors behind you as you extract and then get lucky with enemy spawn locations 
dropping the carry items when it gets rough and holding at sensible places when you know waves are almost on top of you isn't a bad idea either and that's what made it alot easier for us rather then trying to directly gun for the extraction point
or be like us take cargo further up if you got the ammo then go back and d9o HSU scan
I've unironically met people trying to clear B3PE without bio

Since the most optimal "error waves" are those that spawn behind you, you want to stack them

2 sentrys of any kind can really help, and have someone using sniper to take down hybrids/bigs before they reach
Bio+2 Sniper Sentries+1 Sniper (or Hi-Cal/Choke Mod) makes it pretty chill. You can also have Mines too, or a 3rd Sniper Sentry but I think having Mines/C-Foam would be more useful.

Yes it's because you have FOV larger than your actual screen.
If I'm brutally honest I think Shotgun Sentries are quite bad and compared to Burst/Sniper just isn't a good choice, especially considering how strong Bio-Symbiosis is on the Sniper Sentry.

Bio-Sym makes it way stronger since it pretty much removes the lock-on delay and all that and then just gives it more ammo effectively. Without that it's pretty tame.

Bat light attack has the right frequency for big strikers, at least.
If you just spam light attack it'll stagger on second swing just as the animation ends iirc.

Probably the delay on the swing or just a miss.

If the reticle isn't small, it won't be hitscan, it'll go through the swing animation to check for hits instead.

If you click the unlock rewards button on the rundown screen it shows future rewards. It's either a static reward which is shown or a random reward from a pool
What exactly is the hel shotgun good at?
The pellet spread is so much that even at close range it takes a few shots to kill a regular sleeper
It has very high stagger. Combined with penetration - that means the thing can lock entire swarms of sleepers in their place, allowing the rest of the team dispatch them.
Basically - it's more of a support weapon rather than a murder machine.

does anyone know R7D1, overload missions? My teammates and I need to do the "filtration startup", However, others I've seen on the youtube ppl, they don't need to do this (also this will make whole scene in fog).... sooo?
it was a cheese method before but now you have to do filtration startup before doing high

The mission was initially bugged / unfinished and allowed people to basically activate the overload mission last moment and then just leg straight to extraction point.
After a patch (that took like a month or two, lol) the finally did it so that if you choose overload - you can't proceed doing main path until you activate it. Then you have to play the rest of the level with the stupid shenanigans alarm until the very end. Utter nightmare.
I'm glad i managed to play the mission a literal day before the patch dropped... Dodged a bullet there.

There's probably people who did it the "right way" right form the beginning, just to flex on it.
Although there are rumors that the mission is STILL bugged, only now it spawns inappropriate amount of SPOILERS - like 3 instead of maybe 1-2, which makes the overload bullshit far harder than it should be.
Considering that the only viable tactic here is splitting up (1-2 guys push forward in stealth, 2-3 guys stay behind and defend) - even 2 spoilers spawning at once is a big problem as they can just take out the defensive squad all by themselves. Either you shut them down on approach or you're done

it's still good efficiency even with 2 shots per kill

You still have to beat B1 to host C1/2/3, but your completion will count.

If they hear someone running they deploy instantly (they don't scream because of that)
So you can keep running through the tentacles & hit them
Just make sure to hit them on the head, not shoulders or anything else
is it viable to sneak up on them rather than rushing?

I think there are some good reddit threads explaining different scout kill options
some specials kill scout with a headshot, some need occiput (i.e. back of the head), you can use tools like cfoam or mines, or you can melee
eventually you probably will need to learn to melee scouts so that you can take them down stealthily and quickly
probably the only thing I miss from my noob days is synchronized headshotting of 2 scouts in the same room
now 2 scouts is usually just 1 scout followed by 1 scout
I don't even particularly like hammering charger scouts

its basic to read the map just note that the map won't show how the map is layered out like multiple floor rooms
I’ll think I know where to go and follow the map, but hit a wall
try focusing more on where the doors and security doors are rather than just going from point A to point B
and learn the tiles. this tile is always door on the 2nd floor, not bottom floor etc. u learn to navigate like ... that door, up those stairs on the left, turn right after..
gtfo map imho needs at least rudimentary 3d like many games do
