So, if I have a 30 health enemy, 10 damage is the breakpoint I need to hit for a 3-shot.
It's like 13m for long range alert, which is the important range.

Once you have a handle on things, I'd practice solo (no bots, preferably).
It's the best way to get the hang of stealth. Syncing enemies, getting double kills, generally not pissing things off, etc.
Not that much, either, just every now and then to try out things and develop good habits.
I say solo just because it means no latency, all of the enemies are for you and nobody else, and if anything goes wrong you can know for certain it was because of something you did (and can control for).
So me and my bf have gotten into the game recently. And while we both seem to have gotten a grasp on how to handle killing basic infected well. And know how to prepare for most events we’re facing already.
However what we are having trouble with is stealth killing heavies and scouts. Mainly scouts. As every time a precision hit with a melee is done it alerts them, so I tried using a sniper on their head with no feelers out, and all small enemies clear, still alerts. And am wondering how I would go about killing them, if not that
you can snipe scouts with their feelers out!
if you shoot them closer to the neck it might count as a body hit cause wonky hitboxes
for melee if you're taking knife or bat you need to melee them on the head from behind

I'm assuming you mean why someone would take the smg over the carbine, but I'd say because some people struggle to aim with hand-eye coordination. So not needing to be as accurate with bursts would give them an advantage, since more bullets would hit.

I think it does have to do with them messing with the netcode I am pretty sure, I have heard that being said when people have brought up to LoS issue from time to time
it was the devs trying to account for jittery enemies when someone is playing with high ping
but they didnt exactly fix it and now enemies are just equally fucked for everyone

God, I can't imagine it'd be hard to sync up their body hitbox with the swiping attack, and have it move with them as they swing instead of going into walls and then teleporting back to where they were at the start of the attack

counterplay is not having a skill issue and cope harder
also it's always the player's fault because developer skill issue doesn't exist
such as mom hitboxes, ai stuck in walls, funny transparency 100 shadows instead of making a texture
