Is there any loss of efficiency in c-foam output when dabbing single blobs instead of holding down to charge? And how does cfoam portion interact with this?
No, single shots are better since you can micro exactly 9 balls per door and you can keep 8 on it while permafoaming.
Literally never used c-foam portion, but I believe it only affects a full charge's cost.

What is the process of permafoaming? Is there a visual clue to putting another ball on the door when permafoaming?
Yes, the ball is literally there and visually gets smaller when it takes damage (just put it in a spot where you can keep track of it).
Just keep adding balls as they disappear, make sure there's always at least 1 so that the door itself doesn't take damage.
I saw a nice video of someone tracking it like a loading bar, 4 on the top and then 4 on the bottom and just replacing them as each one disappeared. Was quite satisfying tbh :P
Luckily so far nothing in this rundown requires an apt constant cfoam, so you can just full charge doors when you hear the bang of a non-cfoamed door.

I think all of them are pretty good, just up to your prefrence

There also tend to be a couple of disinfection packs in that same zone as well.

Also two things to keep in mind on the terminal: whoever is using it can leave the terminal screen to check the verification code themselves without having to ask others what it is (this was an issue with my friends in the past because they're mishear words and spell it wrong), and you can type the whole "UPLINK_CODE_VERIFY" or whatever it was in advance while it's confirming each code.

the pistol has 15 shots a clip and tungsten rounds that stagger every hit
so it will help u while u get better at aimng

with the only draw back being half the mag size

if you're doing extreme, if u can, don't open the disinfect zone before the extreme scan.. (make sure enemies spawn only to the left, door mines cfoam sentries etc)

be prepared to run even the easiest missions lots and lots of times
get weapons that you can aim well with, you can't afford to miss
keep in mind no one will cover for you when you reload
abuse the heck out of running away and using usually unnecessary doors
make strategies - personal strategies, as not everyone can just play the ""meta"" strats, and follow them as closely as possible
take a weapon that can deal with giants/elites/kraken, as well as an ammo-efficient wave-clear weapon
learn how to avoid basically all enemy attacks, even if you don't avoid 100% of them, avoiding most of the attacks is basically required on later missions
and yeah, this
use them to look at some of the strats that are confirmed to be working
watch and learn their movement patterns for later missions, as they'll use movements that are quicker and/or more efficient, as well as dodging better
etc
I’m assuming standing your ground is a terrible idea
these guys figured it out already, some going as far as doing hitless solo runs (phew)
B2 is risky with standing your ground
everything else you do need to yeet and kite em a bit most of the time
standing on one single position is always a bad idea, but staying inside of an alarm scan is fine - just know when you need to retreat, and always make sure to keep that option open, one way or the other
there's nothing bad in retreating through an unused door, placing a mine on it and then continuing
I mean, if you aim perfectly you can probably stand your ground even in C1 (with exception of that final scan)

some of the tricks we attempt from time to time, they always fail somehow 😄 .. like mining a door, opening after one bang, then remining and closing etc

I'd asked last week about how stacking infection resist works and if there's a cap. I don't think anyone answered. So, in case there's any interest: using a booster with 7% resist and another with 97% resist actually made me completely immune to fog.

- They are looking at the direction I am
- They are in a flat surface relative to me
- They are in the standing up part of the feelers out animation
it's usually the safest bet imo
even as host there is a point where they just stand up

I havent played the game in a while, and i saw there are now checkpoints in the game!
how does it work? like you get to the checkpoint and you can leave and continue the expedition again later?
If you leave, you can't use checkpoints again
Other than that, it's basically a host migration with fixed spots
You do a checkpoint scan on specific security doors
Once it's done, whenever your team fails the host will have to choose between going back into the lobby or using checkpoint
You can use checkpoints indefinitely
If you clear a level with a checkpoint, you get a small green mark next to the objectives on the success screen
Though that doesn't affect anything, whether it is PE or cosmetic unlocks

Is there a way to change the player outlines and name colors? The players in my group generally go by the same colors in most games and we'd like to recognize each other by the colors we're used to, instead of pink/green/blue/purple

burst sentry usually one shots w/ a better ammo economy and fire rate
One alone is good enough, more just makes it faster especially if you're positioned separately. It's mostly just what's comfortable though.
Whats the max amount of active smaller enemies on a map?
Like if you activate a normal Class 4 alarm and just stall them
about 30 ish. no cap if you keep waking sleepers though.

not really a thing, u take what u like so you're efficient in killing
main guns are always entirely a choice of preference, and specials can be level dependent but mostly the same thing
and when playing c1 and below, its good to have one sniper

D3 - when you do the overload objective and get that error alarm it tells you something about Zone 147 (I think)?

we'll defo do main first
d3 is a rough level if you dont plan ahead
but we've decided that we're gonna be hard on ourselves and always try PEs unless absolutely not possible
We're currently prepping strats for C3 since overload tank error lite, but we'll get to D3 eventually so I figured asking isn't a bad idea
we'll probs do main --> overload --> extreme
overload doesn't seem too bad when you can deactivate the error afterwards
like, yeah, sneaking through that room with double-dad, but should be doable
people have been real creative about the order of tackling things
i still think overlord main extreme is still the best order

Sometimes you get really lucky and most enemies spawn on one side
and stealthing becomes kinda trivial

that doesn't mean anything. you can still stealth that room even during the error alarm
if the spawns were not fixed for the error waves in D3 then you would still be able to stealth it. It would just be way less consistent in pubs 😛
there is an 3 enemy error alarm started during overload to get that bulkhead key

I’d assume that’s what happened then if it can push them back into respawn room. First time on map maybe we were looting before we went in idk lol been awhile can’t say what we were doing
there are some bugs though. i know one of my runs had their spawn bugged out and they were spawning in B. but it was still a constant spawn in the same room
so they were spawning on top of the defense team
the offensive team was already next to that class 6 alarm in the back, so it's not because of the 2 room rule either
if you stand in A it will move them to the room next to tank room. that is what happened. if all three defenders stay in B they will always spawn in A and steatlhing tank room will be easy

do you have to do zone 195 in d2 or can you skip it since the level contains more terminals than are needed for the objective?
its either the cscout room or the mother room
if you have c-foam launcher cscout room becomes a joke.
you are correct that you dont need to hit every zone

what was the level that had the 3 opening doors with a huge S1 scan that lasted forever? It was in R4 or R5, and i know there were multiple very large S1 scans, but i mainly mean the one with the R1B1 room layout.

either R5B3 extreme or R5C2 overload
R5C2 overload lasted longer and was a larger area
but R5B3 extreme is probably the tileset you mean

when you enter for the first time. it's on the right in that room. if you come from the respawn zone behind (which you should be since you need a key to access that cell anyway) it's on the left
