A talent system isn't planned.
New enemies will be introduced, that's always happening to keep things fresh.
There will always be improvements to the AI to make them better, fix spots where they get stuck, etc.
@lilac fulcrum I recommend watching something from the “Aliens” section or the “The Thing” movie for the design of the following monsters, so that they are not similar to the previous ones, this will add real variety to the game as a whole.
maybe "Prometheus" movie*
The devs took a lot of inspiration from Aliens. Some are variations of ones we've already seen, some are and will be completely new enemy types. It'll make more sense as the lore is explored further
I mean the elements for creativity in the design of your project.
@lilac fulcrum Well, if they add new elements of character customization, for example, an anti-acid shield or something like that, a two-handed axe (not just a hammer), I will support you financially. Trivia for a change of the game is very important. I also highly recommend looking towards changing the behavior of weapons in the hands of soldiers. An example is the game "Insurgency". If you combine these elements, your project will not be equal in principle, especially if there is an adequate system of awards and everything else.

I have a question I wouldn't mind having insight on from a dev or I guess someone else if you know, it's about the Scout with the tentacles.
3 times now have I run into a weird... idk, what seems like an invincibility wall from the scout that occurs upon a trigger I can't figure out occurs. He becomes invincible when he starts screaming, but the animation at the beginning is mostly idle for the first split seconds, so it doesn't look like he's invincible.
Anyways, the situation is, in many cases when I go up to bash him, something triggers him and I don't know what. Does he hear sound movement at all? if you trigger a sleeper next to him, does it trigger him instantly as well? What are all the triggers that set him off? Thanks
Firstly, scout does become invulnerable while calling in a horde wave until it's animation finishes. You can tell it's become invulnerable if it begins a siren like sound and starts to glow a teal like color.
And to answer your questions, scouts alert to touch and other enemies screams. They will react to you sprinting by tossing tentacles out, as well as occasionally light being shined on them.

so if you sprint near them it triggers them? even if not touching a tentacle?
If you sprint near a scout while its walking about it will immediately put its tentacles out and feel about the room.
sprint, if it does not alert the room, it insta tents.
if sprinting alerts room, he goes off more or less instantly
just found a terminal that was making noise and says Audio buffer size exceeded

In R1 LRF helped quite a bit in scanning areas
LRF is also good for ||syncing sleepers||
LRF is good in low/no fog levels to ||pin scouts, hold spitters||
and to ||sync large crowds of sleepers||
and even though you should try to use a terminal when possible, to help find unopened lockers. I can walk past a locker many times with the regular flashlights, but when i take out the LRF they just really POP.

OK. So when you know what specific terminal you need you'll most likely want to query that specific terminal.
Like "find terminal_420" you'll want to query it then find the location like LOCATION: ZONE_111
Go to zone_111 and find terminal_420
THEN use the log and read commands
Try to practice those commands in the first terminal you see or in A1/A2
Just to get used to doing those commands

Not really, you just use the spawn mechanics. Similar what other people, me included, use at alarm doors. But you have a swarm behind you then and ||chargers and a Scout|| in front of you. Mines and sentries cannot be used cause you cant afford the lose of enemies and possible mines at spawn will prolly be used quite quickly, which spawns ||more charger||. So not sure if easier tbh.

. One way to kill scouts is let them walk into you, you'll get better at it. It's a easy kill .

Post-patch, is there a good reason to use the Semi-auto shotty over the combat shotty?
Semi-auto still does great damage it only took a hit in it's ammo per mag and capacity
2 shot large strikers with a shot to the occ and back.
combat needs a mele to the occ and 3 to the back.
3 shots front, 1 head 2 body iirc

Well D1 ||is constant alarm with big strikers regularly spawning. So I was considering options besides Sniper or Burst cannon||
Semi in D1 has it's uses, but mainly as a stagger tool imo
||sniper is better than cannon imo for giants, but bringing them to d1 really handicaps you||
Also, ||Sniper is very good in D1 despite the alarm going off due to it's high damage output and potential for not only scouts but also dps on Mother prior to her alerting||
If you're looking for something outside those two options however, I would highly recommend combat for D1
I do love what the sniper does in D1, the ammo gut punch aside.

2 defend outside the door
2 inside looking for hsu
the 2 defend outside will force them to spawn outside
rather than just pop out of nowhere

hold the ouside entrance door to buy scout team time, blast scout, regroup is what we did.

yes, there should be a terminal there
inside the security room.

once you alert the room, everyone should regroup at the security door to help mow the mob.
they funnel nicely.
and uhhh for the hsu ||there is a scan for the hsu, so dont split up after you clear the room||

Strat for C1 Error door:
||For C1 I kinda love the aggressiv approach in this. Esp for 17. I would recommend just going in as a 4man team. 1 has to snipe the Scout the others help in dealing with the chargers. Also mine the room before the error door. Helps in dealing with spawning chargers. ||
For 17: ||When entering, snipe the scout if she is there. If not just kill everything as fast as possible. then open the large door. If the Scout is there snipe if not shoot in the room regardless and trigger it (Terminal in this room; also reach and enter this room in a fast pace. Until you reach this room, enemies can and might spawn in E). Close door and put a mine in front of it. If the Scout is in E, bad luck^^ 2 possibilities, snipe her or try a fast stealth kill. The other 3 have to defend, while you are doing the stealth approach. Then grab the hsu and run. Try and ping it in 17.||
For 20: ||Easier one. foam doors, mine and place sentries. 20 is more or less 1 big room. Snipe the Scout and aggro the room in the process (not all might trigger though, lure them in a minefield if you want). Wipe out the chargers and find the HSU. You can try without the ping. Most of the times it seems to spawn in the back of the room. Always found it fast. Dont even know where the terminal is tbh xD||
Also|| prepare minefields on your way back to the spawn. I mine in such a way that my team automatically wins, when reaching the extraction point.||
Love those strats cause they are fun to do and they work.

Since the bug fix in the sentry shotgun. Could it be that i am the only one how feel the sentries lack of damage o a buff?
Well the bug fix more or less nerfed this sentry. So it makes sense that you feel that it got weaker

It's scaled to 4 players only
Even if you drop solo, it's 4 players worth of everything
Is that ever going to be changed cause that doesn't seem like fun gameplay if you want to play solo or duo

it's not intended to solo play
in fact many people actually like that it doesn't scale so they can have the challenge of less players for more difficulty
