The game is called GTFO and it doesn't stand for "Get The Fuck Out" but rather the feeling you have that you want to complete The Warden's objective and GTFO.

@unkempt ridge I know its been brought up with the devs, I've had conversations with them on the future state of the bio tracker. it'll come in more handy during rundown 2, and you are right, more stuff can be added and it probably will, just a matter of prioritization

It could be your connection, as this game uses a steam based connection to run the game, so that's where the issue most likely lies
If you try fixing your internet and that's not the issue, try reinstalling the game

@robust void They spawn two rooms away. So, if there's a room between your room and another room, it's a spawn point.
The only new thing is that some testing seems to confirm that a lack of 2s means they spawn in 1s, rather than the player spawn specifically.

pistol is about middle on damage and ammo

Right now the devs are focused on getting the steam release on PC to be fully done before going to any consoles, but it is a possibility in the future

GTFO will come to PC first. The development team is too small to pull off a simultaneous multi-platform release. If the PC version is successful enough, that would give us an opportunity to put GTFO out on other platforms as well, which weโd love to do!

Hey, quick question. Playing GTFO with friends, and a sleeper got stuck in a wall. Any way to fix this? (Screenshot to follow)

So I managed to fix it by luring it to an area where it was closest to the wall and spamming hammer attacks. Luckily its hitbox must've been clipping through it slightly.
You can post the screenshot in #gtfo-media and put a small message saying "proof of bug" or something like that. But I have had that happen to me before too. A couple of the times it happened we were able to kill it by hitting places in the wall it was nearest too, but it is best to just turn down the music volume a good amount, then continue on leaving that sleeper alone. It seems after enough time (like 10 minutes or so) the game despawns the enemy or something, not sure, but both times we couldn't kill the sleeper, and ignored it, it went away after a while.

It seems that the mines only do a set number of damage to a select few enemies
so you're saying if a big boi is walking on 10 mines it will not die

But in a group It will split the damage
So say for instance you got 5-6 giants all in a straight line and they all walk into a mine
Only two will receive the damage and it will split the damage for both of them

It's just how I've seen the mines work I did this in D1 And I only ever managed to take down 2 giants in a single file using all 6 mines

Heyy, im new and the game looks really good, but i have the question, if its possible to play the game with less than 4 players, i mean just 3 maybe?
yes but difficulty does not scale so it will be harder
3 player is a pretty comfortable level of challenge. 2 player is much harder, but still very doable, while solo gets extremely hard and sometimes gimmicky depending on the level.

Sometimes having people alerting the rooms is harder than a good duo, but depends on the level
After beating A1 and B1 solo I donโt think Iโll go further...I am no expert.
I probably wouldn't enjoy whole rundown solo either but duo is nice
Yeah, the only issue solo is alarm doors, not because of the fighting, but because of having to do the scans while enemies attack, forces you to stand still or kite the enemies around to give you time to stand still.
Of course, the game isn't made for solo play, but that's how it is rn if you wanted to solo the other expeditions.
Trying to solo D1 before R2, but it is just too frustrating lol. Since only the first alarm door is the challenge, you have to do that alarm door with no medpacks to make up for mistakes, no ammo to kill lots of enemies, and no tool refill to put tons of mines down to buy you time, so you just gotta kite them around
Well in my theory it should work with 2 cfoam grenades and all the mines you have. To make it easier. You should be able (with nice scans of course) to do almost half of the second scan sequence before the wave starts to attack you. Then with a little aim the third scan sequnece comes. The rest is kiting. Should be easier. Never rly tested it though
Good thing is: It ius the first door. So you are not losing much.^^
If you put more than two mines down to take out the small guys, it spawns a second wave in, more baddies
And you don't always get c foam grenades, and either way, no doors to seal, won't slow them down much
Easiest way to do it is to put two mines down to thin the herd, then kite the ones alive
Otherwise you won't have enough ammo to finish off the enemies when the alarm is off

Is that such a surprise? Most things can live in the complex without head. The exception are we xD You can even have a pair of legs attacking you. But it is a rare sight to see them without heads. Percentage based they are the minority and you always go for the kill against them.

I believe it is simply a problem how values are distributed (not that I know the mechanic behing the coding). Mayber some rounding errors lead to the Scout being alive with a fully charged swing in da face. It should die because of it. No Scout has ever survived in my experience.

could be, unless they have specific death conditions for the scout. The marker could be a global trigger for all of them. But I dont know. Good thing is it doesnt happen to often and you can get a good laugh out of it in my opinion^^

I dont get them either. Esp when I see other people play or playing with me. I alert one who is shining on the opposite site of the room while others kill sleepers in close proximity to them.^^ Without alerting. That is why Im slow during stealth, cause I know my luck^^

Heya, could anyone give advice on clearing the final alarm door on C2? Me and my team have be struggling to clear it
for starters you should only have 2 doors open
if you have mines place it where you opened the alarm door for the key for zone_100
if you don't have mines save up on the c-foam grenades then lace their pathways with it, it will help you buy time for the scans
you can also send 1 person to help the sentries kill the horde if you want

yeah, it is the best solution, when the host has a good internet connection
@still pendant Strat I prefer is to utilize mine deployer. Conserve all of the metal doors in zone 94 (there are 5 you need to keep) and the earliest metal doors in the key zone (98 or 99). Use these and any c-foam you have left to clump up the chargers and have mines prepared to kill most of them at once. If you play well, you should have plenty of tool refills left over, especially if you use terminal to check every zone you've been to for them.
Note that they can spawn in 96A if it's open, it takes them such a long time to get over to you that it makes up for it somewhat. Use some extra mines to soften up the waves that get past for the sentries. I would also always have one defender to deal with the waves as they get past sentries, with a special weapon that is effective against chargers (I recommend machinegun).
C2's alarm spawns: ||100: 94A, 94C, 96A, 98B, and 99B||

@halcyon shuttle My Way of look for ID'S/PDEC'S Is by listing the zones that you can find using the terminal when the zone provides it's list look for either ID_471S31 Or PDEC_8482S83

For Rundown 1, about 2/3 of the levels are within reason soloable. I'd roughly estimate only the top 5% of players can solo the first 4 levels. The 5th level becomes a bit RNG for the final alarm unfortunately, but otherwise is also able to be done. The last level is brutal and requires deep understanding of the AI to pull off.
Short version: Rundown 2 is about to release so, no, for an inexperienced player soloing Rundown 1 before it vanishes is likely not possible
the list command accepts filters, and all filters are separated by spaces. You can filter by pretty much anything, including object type and the item id.
@blissful iron when a new Rundown releases, the current one is completely wiped. The devs have said that old levels will also not come back in the future (but then again anything can happen).
Can we expect some in-game events (including themed maps, enemies and such) for Halloween and etc. In the future?

As far as the community goes, its very active. Iโve been here since the alpha days (though many have been here before that), and I havenโt seen the community drop in activity.
Specs seem good; better than what I have (3700X, 1070). I donโt play on 1440, but I get around 110FPS with shadows on medium (everything else high). Itโs a pretty intensive game.
Devs are pretty active, and sometimes will pop in chat to hang out.

@heady totem The developers have a specific vision for this game which is that it's designed for 4 people. Having to adjust the balance for less than 4 is an additional task they would have to take on to make sure that you get the same difficulty whether 1, 2, 3, or 4 people so you always get the same experience. That's additional work for a small 9 man team.
Now for the "bot system" - that's not going to happen either. Copy/Pasting where I previously typed this up:
The devs won't be adding in Bots/AI to help you as creating an AI that behaves how a human expects/wants them to is really, really difficult. Even creating the AI enemies in the game is extremely difficult with them constantly bug fixing pathfinding issues. Bots just wouldn't behave how you want, either they'd be too OP or too underpowered, etc. how accurate do you make them with their shots? if you are down what do the prioritize, picking you up, killing the enemies, etc. How "perfect" of a person are they and what kind of human-like flaws do you give them so that they aren't too perfect, but aren't too bad either

@north bloom @gloomy stag @full sundial I'm not certain the exact behavior in Rundown 1, but for Rundown 2 if you make noise such as hitting a door, floor, or other object too close to an enemy then they will start beating their hearts and could wake up if close and loud enough.
Glad that was changed, because in 001 you can break a door and the enemies on the other side won't wake up

GTFO will come to PC first. The development team is too small to pull off a simultaneous multi-platform release. If the PC version is successful enough, that would give us an opportunity to put GTFO out on other platforms as well, which weโd love to do!

i prefer it the way it is at the moment myself
By using game mods (or trainers) it increases the security risk of unknown software, increases workload for the devs to track down bug reports caused by mods, and the mods can even stop working when the devs update the game which isn't something they can account for or support.

Hey guys. New player here. Had the game bought for a long time but been kinda put off by the lack of matchmaking. Has that been implemented yet or still going about it via ip addresses?
@grim coyote The game still doesn't have matchmaking, it is something you'd have to make your own groups such as with your friends, using our LFG channels like #lfg-north-america, etc. It's something very high on their priority list to add, just something that takes time to do correctly. They want to make sure you still have a high quality experience, etc and just pairing people up with randoms might not achieve that as the game does require coordination so making sure you get a good group is important to them.
So there is a way to add people and make groups? When I first got the game there wasn't even that.
There isn't, but there is a 3rd party tool called Overtone which does just that. You create a party and invite people to that, then you can keep the parties pinned to come back to later, add people as friends, or just create a temporary party that lasts as long as your group does before disbanding. Once you have a party the leader can click the play game button which launches the game on everyone's computer. Another nice thing about Overtone is that it has much better audio quality than Discord and doesn't have the same latency issues when talking to people from different areas. Overtone's focus is on getting into a game and playing, while having amazing audio quality. well that is rip. I recommend of having the lobby code at hand even if you dont need it to meet with your friends in the lobby. The join your friend function does not work always.

and host tried inviting us through steam as well but we werent recieving invites
That's a different bug, then. If the host loses internet connection, GTFO bugs out and no longer believes the game exists, so it can't connect you to the lobby.

I am new to the game. Me and a buddy just licked it up a few days ago. I was wondering what the idea is with Rundown 2 replacing 1? Not bitching or upset just wondering why they would remove content when adding new? Is this something that is only going to happen while in EA so they can be sure each Rundown is getting tested? Will all rundown be playable in the final release? If so cool. I hope that is the case. I have heard C1 is awesome from rundown 1. I hope I'll get to play it lol
the reason is that they don't have to go back to the old rundown to tweak/fix the old one and focus on the new one

wdym empty lockers? like you open it and there's literally nothing there? have you checked all shelves (top, left, right, bottom, including bottom shelf in case the rocks from floor cover it) @distant ice
it not marking as opened on map is a known bug for the weak lock and sometimes hacked lockers
but can you #bug-reporting showing a video of all shelves of this empty locker (and you're also sure that someone else didn't already take something from there)

I haven't played since release. The patch notes say: 10 new expeditions. Does that mean 10 different environments or 10 different objectives in one environment?
u can tell bc some guns made a "click" noise when they were empty, meaning the hammer and firing pin went off, but the bolt never cycled back
and any more trigger presses would not make more clicks
so maybe they were trying to go for realism with closed bolt animation but they stopped trying
our characters dont operate the charging handles either so idk what devs were aiming for exactly

I experienced a bug (did not SS tho) that the scan door was half open
i think that happened in R1 as well
