They didnt place the checkpoint to balance the level or build the level around the idea of the checkpoint

it applies a protective shield that allows to tank 9 hits on small doors and 14~ hits on big doors

I guess what happened to you is that you had the door foamed while the actual door was 1 hit away from breaking

therefore once the foam was broken off of it it instantly got broken from the overkill damage of enemies hitting the door from the foam shield to the door's hp

that's why sometimes you can refoam a scout with a blob in air

as for the cfoam that bounces off the door

game is just applying normal behavior of foam blob collision instead of the behavior of when it is hitting the door

• if it's a foam unit value then you will apply 1 per foam particle that ends up still hitting the door after splitting
• if it's a colliding check then you just get full value and it doesn't matter

if your blob is just fully bouncing off of the door then it's most likely a funky tile thing with that door

it's been a while since I've seen a blob bounce off a door completely without splitting but if it does then either that door is just broken or unlucky math in the trajectory calculation that just made it (literally) bounce off the object

game explodes your c nade early if the trajectory is going to hit an enemy

just tap it if you're close and never try to throw a cnade 2 meter or less from a target cause it literally just won't work

game won't realise that it should explode to get the blobs out and thus it just goes through and ends up on the ground

you said to not apply c-foam to same place, but what about foaming ladders? how does it work? I saw some people foam ladders by making three big blobs, but some people just foam ground where enemies land after they use it. But me with a team never tried c-foaming ladder. So... should we do this or not?
