For the achievement: "The Inner", is there anyway to track my achievement progress?
My friend has half my hours and got it recently, and I'm confused why I don't yet have it. For reference, I have 500 hours and have beaten every mission in the game except for a few E-tiers
the achievement only started tracking after it became a thing
you can have someone who has unlocked the achievement check your progress on steam iirc
regarding progress checking. iirc someone who has the achievement can check your profile and see it or smth like that
and yea, only level drops after rundown 8 count, and different levels count for different amounts
so if your friend replayed one level 30 times that'd be a big boost
for the all logs achievement, do you have to beat the mission for it to count towards the achievement?

Hey, I'm still pretty new at the game and was wonder. Why is it that when hit a sleeper in gtfo right next to another one why does it sometimes not wake up the other one and sometimes it does
There's two forms of aggro: Long range and close range aggro

Short version: Enemy close to each other, hit one the other will wake up (Noise from melee) ->Short range Aggro
Enemy slightly far away but can see each other (Even with no eyes), will wake up if they see their friend getting hit and dying. ->Long range Aggro

what is the best way to kill a scout. i'm kind of struggling on killing them
Sledge or Spear: Full charge hit to head (The charge timing is less than that, but for beginners better safe than sorry)
Knife or Bat: Full charge to the back of the head
Certain weapons can one shot scouts
And not engaging with enemies that aren't in your way is generally a good strategy as well
i'm trying to play solo so getting proficient on killing them will be good down the road
@prime musk can give you better pointers on that front than I can, but ye what I described should be fine

it is a mod with practice maps for killing scouts
i realise it\s not very fun, but practice makes perfect

the problem about the choke mod is the hel rifle, it has almost the same amount of bullets, similar damage but the hel rifle can penetrate enemies, which the choke mod doesn't can, so the hel rifle can technically kill double to triple more enemies than the choke mod

if you hit all pellets, then you do a little more damage, but that's not that big of a deal

that's what I was trying to tell you, both weapons are similar but hel rifle has penetration and kill multiple small enemies with 1 bullet or multiple giants with just 4 bullets

choke is in a bit of a weird spot @upbeat flame
its incredbly role crept. In the past it was:
for a time best charger clear (but now we have hel rifle and hel gun)
at the time good giant clear (scatter, hel rifle and burst cannon)
for a time genuinely good tank clear (scatter, bc)
also solid for wave clear (hel rifle, hel gun, combat shotgun and even sawed off) in comparision to alternatives

affects how quickly you earn boosters by collecting artifacts
if you don’t use boosters it doesn’t affect anything
more specifically, it's a multiplier on the amount of progress each artifact gives you towards the booster
100% heat = 0.15 progress per artifact
50% heat = 0.075 progress
20% heat = 0.03 progress

you don't have to but R6, R7 and R8 are heavy story based missions, so I would recommend you doing them in order
R1 to R5 have some logs in the terminal with stories
additionally save R8 for last :3
Anyone have an R2D2 guide? I'm trying to do it solo but I have no clue what are good setups for the bots and they tend to be kinda useless
Personally I did it with SawnOff/HEL Rifle on myself while bots all had HEL Rev/BC. Resist on the bridge until you open Z196 for the terminal, then resist in 196A keeping the door on the Western side closed while the two downstairs are open. Resist in that spot so they only come from either the Reactor side or the staircase.
Only annoyance with bots is that you kinda have to loot everything yourself and make sure they've ammo etc etc
Remember to query the key for the last alarm door beforehand
IMHO you can just shoot the donut-shaped room and give zero shits but maybe you get lucky and sleepers position isn't fucked up
Okay so I'm on the right track then. I've settled on Sawn/HEL R on myself, but haven't figured out a good bot loadout. I'll try HEL revolver next.
I have been holding on bridge, but clearing through 194 to get the key has been taking me too long to do stealthily since I want to reserve bot ammo, and my ammo too. But I'm getting the hang of it, I've gotten the alarm door for 196 open twice, but then we get overrun because we're out of time.
Not going to lie while I didnt have issue doing it with 3 bots I also had like 10 clears with actual players before attempting that

Yeah I put the bio on a bot, it's insane. I've been taking auto sentry on myself and shotguns on the other bots for waveclear/control, but I've heard just taking 3 sniper sentrys can just be strong

Good to know. I've always though the shotgun sentries felt kind of mid, but they provide stopping power and zone control so I've been taking them
dont go for a stealth approach in the code zones (exception being the 6th code one with multiple scouts)
the time you spent sneaking is wasted not looting. Especially since you are alone you have less time to open boxes and distribute the necessary resources
Really for R2D2 just take 3 sniper sentries and you're gonna be fine
Burst sentry and sniper sentry do the same and better
5th code (donut room) if possible melee 1 scout and shoot the other. worst case shoot 1, then fight the room and the wave
every other zone is basically go aggro melee until shooting is necessary

Heavy AR (and most full auto rapid fire weapons) tend to be a much worse pick than the single fire options
currently want to binge thru the whole campaign from R1-R8, i js don't have the time
similarly very meh
it has a bit less ammo econ than those two but is the most playable due to not needing a charge up (and having the 5 dmg breakpoint). The recoil doesnt rly help the weapon though

always have a bio tracker
Dont pick foam without havng mines aswell. But mines without foam can do well
for sentries. Burst is the common pick and works vs most normal enemies. Sniper for big enemies (specifically with bio pings) and on long sight lines
Shotgun sentry never
hel auto sentry is.. niche. Its rly strong for killing if abusing that it gets back dmg due to a bug (coupled with its pierce). But it runs out of shots quickly and needs players to know when, how and why to use it
for melee:
Hammer is basically top dog. Deals with everything well
knife is if you wanna focus on smalls specifically
bat is stagger focused (soft stagger) but its not a great niche. Main reason it gets picked for say speeds is the insta break on locks
spear... eh
might swap spear then, knife and sledge r pretty good after using them
bat gaming
main:
avoid full auto weapons if you can (hel auto pistol is the only genuine full auto thats good)
PDW with its thermal might seem charming. But dont over-rely on it

if they're within 3 meters of each other, killing one will immediately wake the other
outside of that range, if they're not glowing, there's no chance they'll wake up

When a level generates, is there ever a possibility that a specific room generates with a different tile that still fits the placement?
Like, if the first room of R2E1 had more than one variation, could it randomly choose between those variations every time you load the level? (I'm not talking about locker placements fwiw)

The tiles will always be the same
there are a few levels that have marker rerolls that can significantly change what a tile looks like

Okay can someone please answer this:
I've been learning the game with 2 of my friends and have relied on Bishop as a BOT with the Bio Tracker to mark enemies. While 4 players would be desirable, we have still enjoyed learning with a bot as our 4th. The issue is, he throws our runs so often. Prioritizing healing or reviving downed players while he's getting shot, picking up packs and not using them, standing in the way or blatantly shooting us by trying to shoot through us. He's a menace. My question being, is there a way make him switch packs or have him pickup/switch for other packs? We are currently running R1C1 running full sniper sentries, and heavily depending on Tool Packs. Long story short Bishop took a Tool Pack 5 then didn't use it for himself or us then died and it ultimately would've refilled our turrets enough to finish. We were on Round 7/8.

uh sometimes I place a pack down I want him to take and ping it, then he takes the pack and switches out the important thing

bots just tend to priotitize medi
so no no way to exchange unless chance rlly
also do 2 bursts - 3 snipers is way more dmg than u need
they are slow and hard-hitting

I think we had 2 sniper 1 burst and it was fine, biggest issue really was just bishop stealing our ammo
also i guess guns alsso affect friendly fire - usually machinegun / burst rifle is the all rounder for it to not do much ff, save quite a lot of ammo when shooting and deal with smalls nicer
bots refill u as long ass ur undr 80 on both guns so not much there, plus u can justt one person to make the bot follow em and stay behind
like the person doing the codes
and if he steals a tool, pick up sentry
he'll rush to fill u as long as ur under 80
tl;dr don't play with bots find a 4th player
Something you can do if you want them to hold an early ammo pack in R1C1 is just disconnect the bot and reconnect them, this completely removes whatever they were holding so use that as you will, but otherwise, just hold onto ammo packs yourself if you need them

In a 3 bot situation that can be helpful when all 3 have healthpacks
either way u like - dont leave early resources
u use everything in the first zone if possible
then by the second zone u come back to it later
R1C1 specifically is somewhere that is applicable since you can't get the early resources without pushing super far, but if you have 3 players and a bot, it's not as usable
it is not that hard to push as long as ur coder-person doesnt input immediately
it gives u upwards of 2 minutes
so answer to my question, no there is no way to simply swap out packs that a bot is holding

Yeah I was looking up some solo players for guidance/inspiration, but then I see them start up the reactor and they get like... 4 mobs spawning per wave, total of like 20 per reactor sequence
vs vanilla where I'm easily seeing like 60+ in a 1.5 minute sequence

lmao, I tried to be as informational as possible while being entertaining, that first video came out pretty rough but I just wanted to document how many levels are "casually" possible with bots only so that's why I made them

Don't let it spoil you on levels you haven't played though, I think there's still a lot of fun to be had exploring a level for the first time. But yeah, hopefully you can extract some useful information out of it. (Weapons wise, you should probably use something different from me admittedly lmao)

I used the mods only when I couldn't beat the level and made it very clear when I was using said mods for demonstration purposes. I simply plan on coming back at a later date to grind vanilla.

fellas 2 questions, how does elevation and stealth work, I'm mostly talking about those tilesets with the rafters and grated floors, it feels like you can just walk on the rafters without the sleepers below aggroing. 2nd questions is for r4c1 and extractions where you got an item or sumn does it matter how many people are in the circle?

We can't get all the scouts so I dunno is it better to waste ammo and time fighting hordes or save time and loot other areas
If you trigger them you can hold out north west in the room, funnels then from two areas that you will be able to see, one room enemies are clear two or three of you push back against wave whilst one of you finds the terminal

a trick that can save some time, if you are playing with others/bots you can use the voice line feature to figure out if the cell is in the same room you are in
using default keybind i believe it is Q than 3 and if it's in the same room it should give you an option to tell the bots to pick it up
