For all the R4C2s I did with pugs I just foamed the shit out of the doors in the Overload zone then foamed at the bulkheads since they're chokes
We just sneaked past it

I remember we dealt with the triple surge room via shooting scout and mining a door further back and just killing most of the shadows that way

but I usually try to kill some shit before going "yeah, i'll shoot the scout"

If you want to get used to shadows easier, faster is to drop in R5D2 but I get that you probably didnt unlock it yet

Consider also that the weapon you have equipped has different flashlights
R6 has a good spike but depends if ur good or not ig
R5 as a whole is just often a bit higher in difficulty per tier (especially C tiers) and even moreso with optionals (in A tiers and B tiers)
Melee flash is shit, Carbine flashlight is very very nice to see shadows
But like most A tiers are ez af cuz theyâre the intro

What's the proper way to avoid proximity aggro from killing an enemy by bumping them beforehand?
I bumped an enemy and then killed them but a nearby enemy still got aggro'd
bumping an enemy i believe raises the chance to long aggro to a 100% (compared to the 50-ish of killing it normally with a melee weapon)
so i would simply not try to bump it unless u wanna FORCE long aggro

When you kill one, normally anything within like, 5 meters wakes up
prox aggro is not hold by chance, its by distance, u cannot prevent an enemy that is kissin another from not waking up
its a yes or no condition and u just deeal around it
There're definitely ways to avoid it, I was under the impression bumping was one of them
long range aggro is the one where enemies that are slightly at a distance wake up when they are glowin, and something happens around them (like killing a buddy)
The other one I'm sure of is more annoying, where you kill a long aggro'd enemy
That enemy can't trigger proximity aggro itself
short range aggro theres no easy way, it is just determined by how close one its to another
the only way in that in aa group, u wake up one and not thee otheer, is by forcing long range aggro on one
but that means u need a "triangle" formatiion

hello everyone, does anyone know if there are mods that improve sound positioning in game? it seems that developers have trimmed positioning to improve performance.
Why isnt there a shooting range i wanna test all the guns out but dont want to load into a match
was never rly thought to be that important I guess

allows you to swap guns in the level and refresh ammo while also making you unkillable
I really have a hard time with R2D2... No matter how many times I turn it around, I just can't seem to finish it.

What sentries / guns are you using?
hum 3 Sentry + 1 bio tracker
for guns, I use buckland S870 + Carabine
and I know my friends have tested many different weapons, but we always had 2 snipers (koning) and 1 machine gun (I can't remember which)

at best you take 1 if that guy rly does work on giants

The HEL Auto sentry has decent DPS, but on this level you really want longevity/efficiency.
For smalls, the best option is burst sentry, while to assist against the bigs in the level, sniper sentry is the way to go. Typically two bursts + one sniper sentry or one burst + two sniper sentries is the way to go.

why would you need 2 snipers for the double scout room?
you can
- melee a scout, shoot the other
- shoot scouts with any of the other weapons that can (theres 10 weapons that can do so, hel rifle being by far the best option since it deletes waves and giants well)
- shoot 1 scout and trigger the other
what have you been typically dying to?
most of our dead came from :
⢠Lack of resources (ammo / tool)
⢠Missed shot on one of the Scouts in 197 (during double elimination, not syncronize)
⢠Enemies that arrive after the wave and wake up the whole room
shooting two scouts at once its actually a little hard- i would practice meleeing one
or as eva said just activating thee other
u can always practice meleeing scouts directly in r1a1
big info for scouts
a scout wave is only 12 enemies, group up IN the room the scout is in and kill the enemies inside. the 12 enemies coming from outside take a second and wont be too scary then
running out is the scary part

the E tiers are on a leeaguee of theiir own and u shoukd worry about those when u got 50-100 moree hours

tbf my team is determined to do true duo only and we jump around after getting stuck on r2d1 for 15 hours
Switching to burst/sniper sentries should help with the tool luckily.
Staying high on resources in this level is mostly down to fully looting every zone you go through, which mostly comes down to:
- Having lots of time during your code hunt timer
- Clearing the rooms quickly (don't be afraid to wake a room and spend some ammo to kill it quickly, you'll make the ammo back by being able to loot more)
- Being familiar with pinging resources to actually find them quickly
Clearing the wave faster will also naturally help with dealing with enemies arriving after the wave.
So it sounds like most of your problems can be alleviated by clearing the waves faster to maximize your code hunt timer.
However, the places you're holding are likely causing you issues in this regard.
Reactors spawn enemies... weirdly. Basically, the further away from reactor you are the further enemies will spawn away from you.
(Notable exception, on this particular level the first group of enemies will always spawn to the east of reactor)
As such, holding on the bridge is generally pretty good. You get to deal with the first wave of enemies super quickly, and you're not too far from reactor for the rest of the spawns. Also, when you do leave, you'll be forced to push through one of the sides of the reactor so you'll clean up extra enemies.
Holding in 196A isn't too bad, you start slightly behind due to the first wave, but it is a good hold spot.
I'd suggest trying to force holding on the bridge. If you find that this is shifting your problem towards getting overwhelmed by too many enemies at once, you can consider holding some waves in 196A. But I would strongly suggest against holding in 194 for that wave, instead, just head in that direction once the timer starts getting low.

the most obvious example is probably culling Big Chargers or Tanks
then with EnemyAnimationFix you'll always hear the loud footsteps

i miss EA sm. funny shadow charger giants (granted its only on r2e1, r4 made them boring), funny rooms where every enemy from zone decided to spawn with scout there too, shadow scouts spawning in pairs.
og r2e1 is an experience, guns suck (we did it with 1 shotgun and 3 veruta machineguns), 3 good shotgun sentries (back damage and nice amount of ammo) is the only blessing. blood doors are overfilled with enemies, and if key spawns in locked locker right next to shadow giant you will need to kill like 10 of them. exit is a maze with a ton of enemies and couple scouts, very easy to get lost.
Is there a list of allowed cosmetic mods? And will I get a corrupted file if I unlock an apparel I already have equiped or something?

you can use whatever mods you want, just keep in mind using gameplay changing mods could lead to some sort of punsihment if someone doesnt like it

What is the point of the burst cannon when the scattergun exists?
I see people talk highly about it often but I don't know what makes it special
range
the main advantage of burst cannon remains range, it does indeed get outshined in almost every other situation, however in some levels it can be considerably better. We have some levels where it is considered optimal to take like 2 scatters and 1 burst cannon, or triple waveclear + burst cannon
r1c1 would probably be best example: burst cannon can invalidate giants and hybrids at range before they become a problem
on the other hand scatter kinda sucks since u gotta get close and personal
Also another thing: burst cannon is found more enjoyable by certain people. The reality is it is a gun which requires far more skill to use at its full potential. On the other hand scatter is kinda just... left click and that general direction gets deleted
When does the damage fall-off on the burst cannon start?
i love it for being a more flexible hel gun
tripple kills with one burst require more skill, but are so satisfying
if only it still had the 5x burst

In r1b1 theres like rooms with a bunch of giant and giant shooters, is it possible to stealth them? When theres like 2 of em close to each other with 2 people
with only 2 people it's hard but possible
you can solo melee a giant stealthily
so 2 ppl can take 2 giants silently
but it's going to be hard and/or inconsistent
Stealthing that (zone) room is the time equivalent of doing that entire level again
