i think r7 has more just design flaws than replayability, cuz theres rlly nothin that affects it apart from just a lot dialogue
r8 instead lands itself on being more surprising, termiinal commands that do things and the vibe of "idk whats gonna happen next". for example, d1 is "i helped the other team, now what", "i helped them again", "how do we move through these scans" and once u know the answers it falls off a bit
r7 just depends on u listening to the dialogue, and then it is just a level like pretty much any other, maybe excepting C3 but thats about it

if not, u can always experiment by urself with the guns and the tools, check what works and dont get so stuck on one gun cuz thats a thing i tend to see a lot

i told docred to buff scatter and nerf sniper when i was in the office

we didn't know how to deal with them stealthfully, also I was the only one with a hel rifle at the time and was the only one able to effectively take them down. Same deal the shadows, we were lucky to have a bio tracker ready given a vet friend of ours tried to tell us it was a crutch. (turns out that was a lie). We're pretty good at adapting and work well together, but we just wanted to know if there was a way to be better prepared rather than just having to wing it every time and hope we brought the proper equipment.

ammo efficiency doesnt matter that much. But its nice to have
the issue with the "info" given by the game for the guns is that it isnt that accurate
if a gun gets 9 bullets but 9 kills, then its more efficient than a gun with 100 bullets that gets 5

Great guns for reactors are generally Hel weapons since they pen. (Hel rifle specifically, but also hel gun, hel revolver). They work super well for wave clear

Sniper CAN be good for giant clear (hybrids specificall) but needs you to hit your headshots and nobody else to break their heads. Otherwise burst cannon is a good anti giant choice (and hel rifle is kinda too)

for sentries. Burst sentry and sometimes 1 sniper sentry to help with big guys (or if its chargers they are good generally)

and yea, always a bio tracker

otherwise if they are too close u just take advantage of the attack anim, and that works for all enemies

waitin for their attack anim gives u a seecond to either stagger or kill it straight away, bigs smalls shooters etc etc
