i doubt, that dropping box increases spawn of shadows, its just they spawn so fast so it doesnt matter anyway, i got downed omw to extraction at least once, got 1 or 2 extra error waves because of it, because need some time for reviving

no
shotgun and combat shotty are both solid
not as broken as scatter but they arent bad, normal shotty is a flex weapon (can wave clear and also decent boss dmg), combat shotty is pretty solid wave clear
choke mod can fire from mid->long range. But its usage is quite limited and there are far better options
On the scale of D->A, I'd rate the choke mod as a B-tier special weapon
choke mod just doesnt rlly have a good defined role, its trying to be a flex like shotgun but frankly its not rlly that great at either
The biggest question mark on the choke mod is the damage. Like it can fire mid->long range. But if you miss just 1 or 2 pellets, it could be a disaster.
To bring choke mod to good use, reduce total ammo and buff damage seems to be the best one
that would at least make it a good boss kill ya

not sure if this is the right place to ask but are there checkpoints in all mision types (besides e missions from my understanding)
There's no checkpoints until R6, R1A1 is exception

thats true currently im mapping out my plan for r2b1 died a few too many times on the end 
one recommendation i can give is: if u ever feel stuck on a level try out new strats, even if they might not seem like the best. The main issue with checkpoints is they don't encourage this kind of behaviour but rather the opposite: bashing ur head into a wall until it somehow works out. This WILL lead to very bad habits if abused
yea im not a fan of the checkpoint idea either
my friends are just a bunch of scaredy cats
the result: 8 hour clear on certain missions... on a mission where world record is 10minutes and it can be done solidly in an hour if u don't do any funny strats and take it at a moderate pace
8 hours, still uncompleted, leave game for the night, wake up and start flaming people on discord for saying "your lobby is dead" because your lobby crashed
try to make them think of it this way: most missions take at most about half an hour at a decent pace. A checkpoint all it does (if used properly which i seriously doubt happens sadly) is reduce that time from half an hour to maybe 10-15minutes
Tbh scatter warps the whole game since it makes boss encounters far far easier while also being insane vs giants and strong burst wave clear
Sawed off stands out as a main but in context to guns as a whole its only slightly stronger than the balanced shotgun in the special slot (it just looks uber insane vs the mains)
I guess checkpoints aren't bad if used few times to figure out the next part of the level so you can approach it with new knowledge after restart, but there's a thin thing between bashing head and getting new knowledge
and getting through the first section of the mission for the first time does take longer but the more you play... the faster u get through it: for example r2b1 the level u played: maybe first time it is 20minutes to get to the alarm, but the 2nd time you know you need to do 2 blood doors, you know you need a key, you know where terminal is so you can query key and in 6-7minutes you are already at the alarm
if used properly they are good, the issue is probably the only people who know how to use a checkpoint are people who are already good enough to complete the level first try
and modded content doesn't use checkpoints because of bugs mostly rather than them being bad
yea i have it mapped out to the point where i just gotta fix my ending i consistently cleared the alarms i just lose at the end
The big thing for gtfo is that, while its still a difficult game, its far less the mechanics/skill thats necessary to best levels but knowledge on how things work
So its less git gud and more „learn lots“

That's just because people don't know how to balance their ammo, I can see people with any other weapons like that
The perfect newbie that isn't confident in aim weapon is Carbine
It's just decent even if shot from relatively middle distances

Carbine might be the most "it just works" gun in GTFO
Really, whenever someone asks me a "safe" weapon I just tell them Carbine
No crazy gameplay, no lining up shots, it just works
not even bad lol thats how busted they be, sawed off especially has actual decent range making it decent for both flyers and damaging kracken, and depending on where you position yourself and tumor spawn you can do a fair amount of dmg with scatter
The correspective gun on special is perhaps HCP because you can just bodyshot everything anyway
You're supposed to phase both of those out when you get more confident of course
My thoughts is that D1 kraken for that is mostly tumour dependent, cos most top would suck

I'd take DTR+HCP but like, idk. HCP doesn't keep up. DTR+BC is fun but the clear is rough sometimes.
The guns I take are 50% dependant on the level, 25% on what the rest of team has, and 25% on what I feel like I'll have fun using
Main and special I take are rarely a factor to each other
I tbh take one loadout till I feel like I need to change it

AFAIK no, there are tierlists for all rundowns, i recommend checking out ray's on the GTFO reddit as its fairly comprehensive. For the most part the tierlist wouldnt really change THAT much between each rundown

for beating class 9 u gotta have: nightmare killing power, when tank shows up u HAVE to make sure u burst him down very quickly before the rest of the enemies come back
u literally get 3 choices when u type 'commands' into a term

Checkpoints are only in missions in Rundowns 6, 7, 8, and a lone one in R1A1
This means that starting R1B1 to the end of rundown 5/start of rundown 6, there are no checkpoints
No checkpoint for 45 levels is always very funny ngl

(especially when you pub r1a1 so much you have to explain every time there's no checkpoint for a long while)

Like dropping utilities in an empty slot in a locker or stacking them, using right click or other keybinds to use them on others instead of yourself, different biotracker shapes for different kinds of sleepers. Most of the qol stuff like these already exist as mods, it wiuld be so nice if they were official.

big is bad because they can spawn inside and if a scout is in the farthest room, well, it ain't plesant
On the other hand I think the best scenario is big, scout first room so you pop it fast, then abuse doors with mines (as in, pull the room).
What i'm trying to say is that I feel like big is better IN THE SCENARIO (very lucky) that you never get inside spawns
The other zone has no doors IIRC and the 3 rooms are connected in such a way that you just need to be in A for it to only get back spawns
The tradeoff is that you need to toast scout and wake the room, unless you get two people 1 room away with guns bombing the charger waves

yeah, zones 39 and 40 are always like that, and zone 42 will have a handful
For some reason, VERY rarely, there's a giant or a chicken in R1C1's path to reactor
sometimes instead of getting 2 giant spawn you can get 1 giant 1 shooter
Certain group settings allow enemies to "promote," by rolling to be a different enemy type.
And in those places, you can get random single giants
Weird, why is that even there?
It used to be more common, in R1-R5 this was the case for all small groups, and bigs could also roll to be ~7 strikers.
With 2 or more people, you take turns breaking limbs to maintain heavy stagger
you can finagle the bots to be stood near the giant, hit the giant to wake it up and the bots should start hitting it after a short delay
Stall by soloing and waiting for bots to get their melees in
for this you'll want to break a limb for long stagger - back of head is ideal for most damage
Or you just shoot
Bots like to pretend they can wake shit up, so they'll try NOT to move when an enemy close is pulsating or whatnot
But make sure they're kinda close to the giant before starting
TBH if there's more than 1 giant just prepare to shoot
Better yet. You see the rare instance a bot solo melees a giant

hit occiput and pray, that bots will finish/stagger giant OR you have enough time to charge your weapon to break another limb and kill him

I'm new to this game and I'm having a hard time with the foam launcher. It seems to just not goop up doors like the foam grenade. Another door I was shooting, the foam went through the door out onto the other side on the ground.
Is this a glitch? This is my first time using the foam launcher..
I had another door only take 4 little goop spots and not take any more.

Wiki says the giants have 120 hp and Hybrids 150 hp, sniper deals 40 dmg with no boosters and dmg multipliers, while headshots on those 2 enemies specifically with headshot mutlipliers are 1.5x and 2x more then normal dmg, which would mean sniper would deal 80 dmg to Hybrids and 60 to Hybrids.

giants have 1,5x
so 80 on hybrids, 60 on giants
but sniper has a 2x head crit multiplier by itself

Yeah, I was trying to see if I could predict a cell's location in R2E1, the one in the zone after the error alarm initiates if you're familiar. But I was trying to predict it using just the listing order of that one zone, since it's different every time
I don't believe terminal lists go off areas of zones nor is it something i'd investigate more deeply right now (I could go into cconsole and logs and find which room generates as ##_AreaA etc etc and cross ref that with terminal list)
however, if you list generally it goes from smallest to largest zone number iirc
so if you LIST AMMO and there's 3 ammopacks, one in each zone, the one for zone 1 would appear first in the list, followed by zones 2 then 3
I see, that could very well be part of why it was so inconsistent when I was testing. So there's probably no method to predicting a cell's location without digging into logs

I imagine there's some consistency somewhere in the listing function but I don't know where that consistency is
if u list everything- u get to see every resource and objective item that there is on a level, but that really isnt that useful
really what brings the most out of that command is listing individual zones
like u get to see the resources on them and if they have objective items before u even get in
but it depends on how u play
i usually just tend to list the zone i am in to check if im missing any resources, and sometimes i list zones if im unsure if its worth to go into them

In my case the bug happened a few minutes before i could extract and i tried completing the rundown but after completing the extraction scan, it disappeared and i was trapped in the map.
After returning to the menu the rundown did not count :/ oh well.
Also the game crash is caused pc-spec wise or just a fatal error?

no, i watched random video on yt, where there were a lot of shadows, players were spamming c-foam and went for extraction, while one person died
i found it interesting and original and bought game 
i watched spiff thought to myself "there is no way it is that hard, i can do better" and then proceeded to buy the game and confirmed that it was in fact not that hard and that i could indeed to better
