By most metrics

For instance, pistols in this game are good for close to medium, and usually work well
Shotguns in both main and special do fairly well, save for slug which has an ammo economy issue and choke mod having an identity crisis
Autos are on the weaker side of things, but they work. Machine gun and AR (I suppose HAR also is included) generally perform less well in comparison to the other options, but they can be used
Hel weapons are op for crowd control, but needs lineups to work well sometimes
Precisions are mostly fine, save for sniper which is a strange shell of its former self

Since this game has no crowd clear, radial option like grenades and such, you often will need to rely on weakpoints, piercing or just fitness to live through stuff

as the others have said, yes you have to clear everything else

this is honestly the bare minimum necessary to get there skill wise anyway. R2E1 (first E tier youll usually face) is around 4th to 6th hardest in terms of missions for this game

The 2nd hardest mission up til then is R2D2. Which is ~25th or so. And even thats a step up from R2D1
(hence many people recommending to skip R2E1 after a few attempts if it doesnt seem like youll clear it in your next few attempts easily)

when in the room past mother room, go into the room down to the left and shoot up that room, then while staying in that room shoot up the first room of the zone. enemies can only scream in rooms adjacent to a player, and gunshots can't be heard 2 rooms away either, so this guarantees mothers do not wake up, at the cost of some enemies in the room running towards the reactor wave defenders

my favourite trick for this is to use the mine deployer. placing 1 mine on the blood door and then the remaining 7 spaced out so that the hybrids/giants/whatever die to them while you run and hide in B. it's not the fastest but it's consistent and safe and leaves minimal leaks compared to everything else that isn't just taking the blood door head-on
(yes im aware this is stupid but it works and that's all that matters; it's not like you're low on tool anyways)

its working when those 2 are joining their lobbys but i cannot see them, when they join mine.
also when i try to join them its just interrupting and i fall back to the rundown choosing screen.
