surge will spawn cap the tank, then it'll do checks every minute to see if tank can be spawned iirc

If there’s less it starts a 20 second timer
So tank will spawn about 20 seconds after you clear most of surge

so the run was pretty lame using early drop and door bugs

Hi, what's best ammo efficency guns right now?
depends on what you're shooting at but generally scatter/hel gun/hel rifle
As long as you hit your shots the efficiency of the gun doesn't really matter.
Aside from that, there's some guns that'll struggle with ammo more than others, like slug shotgun, the machine guns and heavy assault rifle

Hey! Is there a terminal code for the partial decoders? I know in the earlier versions of the game there was but I can't think of anything to put for the Partial decoder to find the zones they're in. I've seen Pdec and have tried that but it isnt working

But overall the rundown from easiest to hardest is
1 > 3 > 2 > 6 > 7 > 4 > 5 > 8
C3/C4 probably harder than D1

It's the bait rundown that introduces the idea of:
--Frequent Checkpoints (R1A1 has one... the next one is in R6A1)
--Optional zones often contain lots of loot, so you should do them
And then there's C1, my favorite chokepoint
It either kills everyone bcs they can't kill things (Suboptimal weaponry or just bad planning) or just learn to sit still

my main loadout is :
main : DMR
special : High Caliber Pistol
Tool : burst sentry
Melee : spear
this loadout is just too good when you have some space/time to aim but It's kinda not efficent enough for (very) short distance
especially with the DMR, the zoom is just too much and I don't like hip firing it since it has low ammo (even though I have decent aim)
if you keep running the DMR, use a shotgun for your special ( not choke mod )
even the heavy assault rifle can work sometimes when tap firing
I use DMR for small sleepers and the high caliber for the giants
on the other hand, other weapons feel like they don't have enough firepower
most of them require you to use them right, shotguns are more powerful DMRs at close range
spear aside honestly a very solid loadout
guns are basically the "not best, but good" tier and burst sentry is usually safest pick
spear tho, not good
DMR is "low" on ammo, but realistically it doesnt rly matter
If you want smth to work for closer distances, shotgun and combat shotguns are great for that on the special side, or just pick hel revo which is easier to work with up close than dmr
use high cal for smalls too
its gets more kills per ammo refill on smalls than dmr does anyway, so its not a waste
I'm an "go for all-efficency" guy and believe it or not, I'm the one who gets the least ammo among the squad (I play with my friends)

well its more of 2 choices
the shotgun and combat shotgun, scatter is not something i wish to talk about ( too op ) and choke is already not a good choice

nah I'm open on changing the main too, if it's similar to DMR it'd be ok
efficiency is a pretty overrated stat in this game
But if aiming for efficiency, main weapons dont rly give you much room there unless you take penetration into account (dmr being the 2nd lowest efficiency on strikers at 7.63 vs the highest (but very unrealistic 11.84 from stuff like DTR and so on)
Real efficient guns in general are combat shotgun (vs most things, can 1 shot smalls for massive 22,5 kills/refill), any hel weapon that isnt hel auto pistol (or sentry lol)
you'd be doing an entirely different loadout in that case tbh
slow movement
bad dmg breakpoint (needs headshots on smalls even tho it charges just as fast as hammer, also worse stagger dmg)
hammer/knife just stand out way more, spear is at best an awful crutch for beginners

shotguns arent rly similar if you want smth good/better. Sawed off is insane, but plays differently obviously
all weapons are basically equally as efficient when used well, besides obvious exceptions
if you run burst sentry i highly recommend trying the combat shotgun over the pump shotgun, it has much better syngergy with the sentry imo
honestly i can see what you mean and yeah it would prob feel better to use
in general unless you pick sniper and shoot smalls with it you will be doing fine efficiency wise
scattergun (kek op weapon) is a anti boss/giant gun, being the most efficient for it by far
but if you get 2 or even 3 kills per shot you are gonna be more efficient than even high caliber pistol on smalls (which is like straight decent overall)
even if they don't, the much more efficient kills of bigs probably makes up for it when comparing with high cal
peak efficiency is rly just "penetration gun (aka hel weapons not called hel auto pistol) or combat shotgun (scatter when bigs/bosses+)
to be specific, I have completed the whole R1 and R2 'till D1 (5 generators mission)
but the thing is our scan guy's a little slow and I can't just shoot randomly into fog

high cal is decent vs giants, but its rly an all rounder you use against whatever you see
high cal gets 2.5 giant kills against bigs at peak efficiency in active combat
this isn't very good efficiency wise

its a fine loadout
high cal is great for beginners especially

it sounds like you enabled the "Separate Use Keybinds" option which gives you an interact button for yourself and one for your team
so youll want to check your settings and disable that, then you can use the same key for both

Foam and mine big door in the second room, foam and mine small door in alarm room. Try permafoam small door for as long as possible after first team scans using nades and launcher l. Bring pen weapons to deal with the gigantic waves and make sure you have adequate boss kill weapons to kill snatchers and tanks quickly.

most of the time you're fine taking at 68% (9 shots reserve)
but 63 is always fine
yes- the spawn cap of enemies is around 25 i believe, so if u get staggering the 3 of the wave it will fill up until u have the 25 around
then it will stop spawning enemies but its... hard to keep so many enemies alive at once in a situation like that
actually, if u noticed that went u run away u get 6 or more enemies in a single group is cause u got 2 3 or more waves stacked that u just ran away from, so they grouped up

Is the controller stuff still bugged per reddit posts 11 months ago? Just picked up the game and my friend I wanna play it with refuses to play Mouse and Keyboard so I'm doing some controller tests to hopefully streamline his experience
you need to rebind every single controller input
some inputs dont have a key
so you gotta do it yourself
this game has 0 controller support
Scouts go invulnerable after being alerted after a randomized delay between 0.25 and 0.5 seconds (uniform distribution). The feelers take 1s to retract before alerting the scout (so touching feelers gives you between 1.25 and 1.5 seconds).
Side note specifically for shooting through doors though. Sounds 'linger' on the player for a little. So if you shoot as door is opening while outside the room and then jump into the room, it can count as a gunshot inside the room. You want to stay outside while door is opening for a little bit after shooting.
I've got steam input enabled and it feels alright, especially using some community configs. Definitely might need to rebind some stuff but other than no stick acceleration, it seems fine
it doesn't seem like 0 controller support, definitely wish there were glyphs but not the end of the world

We try 4 sentry.
We already try to have 1 running back to put in codes. And 3 pushing forward for resurce, but we probably aren't fast enough so we still ran out of sentry.
We look up some reddit post and are going to try 2 burst sentry and 1 sniper sentry tonight.

3 sentries (probably 3 burst sentries, but only put down 2 unless you can see giants spawn)
1 sniper and 2 burst works too tho
Defend on the bridge, near the hole. It puts you closer to ressources (same room, but also far away ones) and is a better holding spot

Take good waveclear and a giant clear weapon if you want easier odds. This means:
hel rifle: penetration body shot gun. Kills smalls super well and giants too
Burst cannon: anti giant gun. 2 bodyshot bursts kill a normal one, 3 a hybrid
Is bio scan tool necessary? We think its useless bc every mob will run toward us anyway
