@past mesa ok I think I found it, seems like when you open 513 (first zone past main) - it overrides the terminal command with another command
so uhhhh

command has a post output reading "Zone 513 quarantine violated" when you open 513
so yeah, I'd have to test, but theoretically starting the scan and then opening the main door should prevent shadows from spawning
so R8E1 shadow cheese still exists

I checked the datablocks on this, and I'm fairly certain they replace the command in secondary with one that doesn't complete the objective
Yeah, from what I can tell when you open the door to the third zone (the first one with the long full team scan), it disables the secondary completion command and replaces it with another one that just fails
Fun fact the replacement command is GEN_REDIRECT_CONFIRM instead of GEN_REDIRECT_CONFIRM_Y
not steam cloud, different cloud service (playfab and azure), but as long as they're using the same steam account, then everything will be there

Hello, I just wanted to ask if the 8 waves of the R1C1 Reactor Startup spawn infinitely until the code is verified, or if each of those 8 phases have a fixed spawn amount.
I looked up the wiki and only saw the Error Alarm after verification, but I wanted to know the spawn mechanics during the reactor startup.
Ok well, it's complex
Reactors are set to always spawn a certain amount of enemies
each reactor wave will always spawn a set amount of enemies
these enemies are forced to spawn, if they can't spawn due to spawn cap, then their spawns get queued
if you kill the enemies really quickly you can get through all the wave and have some extra time afterwards
if you're too slow killing the enemies (if they take forever to get to you), then you'll be having queued spawns rolling over into the verification stage
that's basically all that you need to know

scan zones on alarms have some rules at appearing or no? i played r2e1, on 4th surge alarm all zones were relatively close to each other, but on next attempt those zones moved almost half or 2/3 of room on every scan
they don't have rules
they can go pretty much anywhere inside a room, just not past dividers or other rooms
so i can be lucky and have all zones right in front of each other, or be unlucky and move around whole room on every scan?

I noticed in some missions, you have time to explore rooms and use the terminals without randomly being attacked. But I was in a mission where these waves would randomly spawn and come attack.

R2b1 unlocks the rest of b levels and r2c1
and you need* to do all prior levels to unlock e1
And in general u play the game for fun since there is no progression. So just completing all levels is a nice way to do it

You know, personally, I've always had the feeling that shadow error alarms are ultimately pointless. The backspawns just mean that you get a fuckton of distance and it just gets silly.
Forward spawns or whatnot is harsh if bio's not on point, but backspawns are an absolute snooze both in R4D2 and R4C2

i think what stands true is that R6DX/CX is harder than say D3 and D2 once know how to play it
You know how R6D1 looks like a GTFO map made by Ubisoft with 500 Checkpoints and Le beeeg bossfight?
D3 and D2 are both very solveable
DX is too (even moreso) until the end
but the end CAN throw you a wrench
You see the problem is that, to me, R6DX (now CX) looks much easier in Alt than in OG

Easiest to hardest for missions is a funky order that doesnt make sense
you typically just go R1-R2
Then skip to R3 once you cant get pas R2E1 (or R2D2). Then progress into R4 etc

First two levels in R6 are a good start. From there, either play R1-R3 (easy/simple levels, largely) or continue through R6 and R7 (gets more complex more quickly).
To learn, I'd play any Main besides shotguns, double-tap, or HEL autopistol. For Special, you can learn a lot of good fundamentals on Heavy Assault Rifle, Combat Shotgun, or High Cal.
Meta is HEL Revo or HEL Shotgun w/ HEL Gun, HEL Rifle, Burst Cannon, or Scattergun, but these weapons tend to be fairly unintuitive and reward existing game understanding.

I would suggest trying out Burst rifle or Bullpup rifle for main weapons — these two rifles feel very nice to use and are really balanced. For special weapons I’d suggest any of the shotguns for a viable way to deal with tankier enemies. My main suggestion is to try out all of them and see which ones you like the ones I suggested are just balanced options
Burst rifle - yes
Bullpup - no
Bullpup has a notoriously long reload that cant be shortened with a cancel and subpar stars.

Mains that specfically are easy to learn the game with imo are:
Pistol, Rifle, Carbine and Burst rifle
Carbine is SUPER beginner friendly if you're okay with bursts
If I'd have to suggest a super easy to use combo I'd say Carbine HCP
or Carbine CS too

no, it is not worth it, unless its in that one longer corridor room with a cscout then you may have to but that wouldnt be too hard. Generally you really don't wanna be using anymore ammo than you have to in r7e1 cos its quite tight unless u whip out the cheese strats.

Doors have a set amount of hp. When an enemy gets close it, they begin to chip away at it, decreasing its hp. The amount of enemies on the door doesnt change the speed (basically only 1 enemy actually hits the door). When the hp depletes the door breaks.
Cfoam adds an extra layer of hp to the door, that the enemies need to break before damaging the door. You can keep reapplying cfoam to the door to replenish the damage the foam shield took
It shouldnt happen, the door is not supposed to break while cfoam is still on it
only after all of the cfoam is destroyed by enemies
Some numbers:
Small doors have 7 HP
Big doors have 12 HP
Fully C-foaming a door adds 13.5 HP
Enemies deal 1 damage with each hit regardless of the type of enemy.
(The damage player melees deal varies)
Should also be noted that only one enemy can hit a door at a time, globally

Me and my friends have a little problem after last update.
If the three of us join lobby one of two things would happen etheir two of us can't see the third or if we all se each other we can't initiate cage drop
Now if 2 join the game and invite the third, he gets waiting on host and can't join although 2 of us are already in game.
Any help would be appreciated ❤️

Since the game is peer-to-peer, it could be due to network issues between the player hosting the game and the others, for example.
Sounds like network issue aka very laggy, cuz i had same problem playing with one of the friends having same issues

im thinking of taking the shotgun but idk if that would bottleneck my ranged weapons unless i take double tap rifle

If yes, enemies spawn in that same room but up top on the corners, the scans have kinda little degree of RNG on their position, abuse staircases+foam and move the sentries over and over, be careful not to shoot each other during the movement of the scan that makes you go to bottom

tbh the best way to deal with the class VI is just shooting really good ngl, bio pings like crazy and if it's a red scan split up a bit to take advantage of the hallways and not get pincered
u can either take ur sentries and put em with u on each scan, or u can leave em near the places u know ur gonna scan
the scans r always in the same positions

The entire alarm is almost a staircase choke
Cfosm launcher is kinda useless when they give you 700 cfoam grenades
no one takes foam without mines either way and this level it's rlly not for the combo

The sentries, especially sniper is gud for the flyers
for kraken you dont need any shit other than popping the flyeirs and not taking it up the ass with the bombardment

I've seen sentries placed in such a way to pop flyeirs on R8E2 by placing kinda top-ish on the catwalk
But never on R6D1
I'd guess you can place them on the nuclear sign thingy on bottom left
There are placements on r6d1 for it
That kind of get the job done if you suck at killing any flyers

you can probably stand at the side of scan and not take much FF from a bot
i don't really see the point in using a mod to disable FF, even if it's not the most heinous thing it's still cheating
well also don't put em with big dmg weaponry if u are
disabling bot FF isnt really cheating in my book and im really only playing with bots when im with my friends
bots are very bad with shotguns and stuff
so of course don't just put them with one

also the story in the alt rundowns is different than the og ones

R7 is og, R8 is… well unique to say the least, you will see
The rest are ALT
Me and my buddy are working through them, 1-8
good, just dont be suprised when stuff changes a fair bit in R7

Overall - all rundowns are related
but in short
ALT R1 - ALT R6 are related to R8
And R7 (and other OG rundowns) are also related to R8
you will see it when you play R8

They were in the game before but arent any more.
The game used to work on a semi-season mechanism, where you would have one rundowb avialable, and then it would be replaced by the next
up until R7 when they brought back old rundowns as ALTs
but you wont miss too much lore from the other OG rundowns, except for like OG R6

Profesor scaler made one a bit back (pre R8) and its decent, the lore channel also has a pinned document with a full lore summary.
But overall id recommend not looking into either before you atleast reach R7 (preferably not until R8)
