I dislike Knife more because of the average Knife player

tbh aiming down sights on shotguns just makes u miss less still cause u can center ur target better
unless it's scattergun or sawed off in which case it doesn't really matter that much
ADSing shotguns was niche when shotguns shot where the barrel was pointed in the past.
a while back shotguns were bugged and they shot their bullets according to where your barrel was pointing, not your crosshair

Sway bug had to do w/ switching weapons causing shots to initially fire down and to the left, which could be mitigated a bit if you ADSed (but still introduced a weapon switch delay).
Revo inaccuracy is an intentional mechanic related to recoil.
It's not any different than a recoil pattern really
Hip fire is also rather really accurate if fired in a controlled manner.
(I macro revolver to shoot the fastest it can in several cases. Though I wouldn't recommend it as it is very ammo consuming.)
Let alone if anyone else is willing to control that much recoil
(Note: I usually have it paired with sawed off so I don't need to macro fire as much or at all.)
Late to the conversation on reticle and fov but I once asked in mod mail about a certain qol mod, here is what got said

Is this QOL or cheating? It fixes the crosshair ring not scaling with your FOV. This means that instead of it being larger than it should be at high fov, it accurately shows your gun spread. Additionally the mod shows your first shot's spread, which is usually far lower than subsequent shots.
As long as it effects only the crosshair and doesnât change the way the weapon works then that mod is ok. We still highly encourage you to notify any teammates about you using some QoL mods before starting a match to verify it is ok with them as well.

this is not exactly how it works
that is how it used to work for previous single shot weapons into tumour on host
but with pellets it's slightly different
host -> shoot tumour with pellets -> tumour breaks "instantly" when hit by enough pellets -> tumour disappears -> rest of pellets hit armour
client -> shoot tumour with pellets -> tumour does not break "instantly" due to latency or whatever -> all pellets hit the same tumour because the calculation/tumour update isn't done in time

and giant and scout room
all the time loss was there
in our pb we were around 3.5 seconds ahead at checkpoint door, we have had multiple runs where we were 10+ seconds ahead at checkpoint door
and runback lol
breads run is also a huge example
losing 5-6 seconds in scout zone due to standing still before pullingn stealth scans (plus other stuff)

hey me and my friend started playing the game recently and we've reached r2b3 with bots and i was wondering
how realistic is it for us to continue like this and are there any like tricks and stuff with bots or general gameplay advice for later levels
theres gonna b a breakpoint where some levels arent gonna be doable with bots anymore, r3c1 n d1 r hard but possible
but r4d2 or e1 or c3 PE etc etc its hard
outright impossible
but well some tricks, just good guns for em r burst rifle machinegun to prevent friendly fire and have good cleaning power
they work best with bio n sentry
if u stand on top of a box they hurdle around u so its easy to give em stuff without them stealiing resources
You can finish all levels with two bots two players
Do note that while you CAN two bot and duo, it's not going to be very easy
Some mods help you control better is also gud
Besides error carry levels it is really not that bad to do two bot duo

Done most of it already. Just missing like one or 2 E levels I believe. Me and my bud are pretty familiar with everything and at this point we are focusing on completing the game as a whole and getting steam completionist on it

you can use your gun to scope at the side of terminal and try to see what code it wants without being stuck in the terminal

Depends on the map
Prisoner efficiency just means having done ALL sectors in one go
Some maps allow you to choose (but some choices are clearely better than others), others force you to do a specific order
R4A2 For example forces you to do Overload before doing Secondary (after picking secondary once of course). R4A3 DOES NOT force you to do Secondary before Overload, but doing Secondary after Overload is arguably harder than doing it before.
Does knife deal bonus damage against sleeping enemies - if so is this an additive bonus damage to the base damage or a higher precision multiplier?
To see the order a good way is to query all bulkhead keys since those are what usually forces you to do a specific order
Yes it does. It is a multiplier. On Knife up to 1.5x when fully charged.
So e.g.:
Fully charged knife to the back of a Striker deals 5.5 (base damage) * 2 (back multiplier) * 1.7 (knife also has backstab multiplier) = 18.7
=> Doesn't kill
Fully charged knife to the back of a sleeping Striker deals 5.5 (base damage) * 2 (back multiplier) * 1.7 (backstab multiplier) * 1.5 (sleeping multiplier) = 28.05
=> Does kill
Want to double check is the backstab multiplier is also applicable to when hitting the occiput because itâs the âbackâ of the head?

In reality there isn't an "occiput multiplier", it is just shorthand for when you're getting both the head and back multipliers at the same time.
Ah I never realised that Back Multiplier * Frontal Head Multiplier = Occiput Multiplier
(should add, for this specific calc, you'd also need Knife's precision multiplier since you're getting a headshot -> total becomes 126.225 damage)

It does not, no. But Knife can still kill with headshot from behind

Back multiplier is related to which direction the enemy is facing (the game uses the enemy's facing direction when calculating whether you're behind the enemy or not).
Backstab multiplier is related to which direction the enemy's spine/chest is facing.
During certain animations (in particular the stagger animations of giants/big charger/big shooters) the direction the enemy is 'facing' and the direction their spine is 'facing' can be completely opposite.
No offense, this thing made me remember the whole "The missile knows where it is..."
I guess this is also part of why I can "occiput" when technically hitting what appears to be the front of a striker during the "wake up" animation of him turning around?
Since the enemy skeleton didnt actually move but it just appears to be so
The enemy knows which way it is facing because it knows which way it isn't facing
By subtracting where it is not facing from where it was, it now is
Ye, facing direction doesn't update until the animation finishes.
(The other place where this is really useful to know is when you get the spin stagger animation while meleeing a giant from behind)
